Which includes Katara herself. On top of that, everyone would understand that she's not a ruthless monster who uses it for selfish reasons. So no ill will would have been thrown her way regardless of the laws protection. Sure she would have feared those possibilities but she's not a coward. I think Yakone was an even worse father than Ozai ever was considering how corrupted his children became, one more corrupt, cruel and manipulative and one literally corrupted, cruel and manipulative. Granted, they both still loved each other and held a certain level of compassion (one more than the other) but it is fairly clear that Yakone corrupted his sons beyond repair, and even though he was dead for years by the time they died, they were still very much influenced by their father. I’d say Yakone’s influence on Noatok and Tarrlock was far more severe, considering what they both turned into

Yeah, that's the trade-off we made for our brains and our technical skills. Unarmed, we're among the weakest animals on the planet, but fangs and claws won't get you to the moon.
Here’s my theory. I think that shortly before Noatak ran away, Yakone had sort of given up on Tarlok and put more of his efforts into training Noatak, because Tarlok says that after Noatak ran away, his father stopped training him. My theory is that the night when Yakone made them bloodbend each other, he wasn’t training both of them, he was using Tarlok to give Noaktak training to resist bloodbending
it's crazy how hardcore avatar fans claim TLOK villians to be trash. Aman's and Zaheer's story was incredible, and it made Ozai's overall motive of being the "pheonix king" that rules the world seem completely childish. but i guess nostalgia is blinding
@@sckaze777 yep and it's childish and one dimensional. My question is how did amon pull a michael jackson and brightened his skintone as he aged, while tarlok and everyone else maintain the same complexion throughout all their lives
If his father can change his face with plastic surgery then he perhaps used skin bleaching like Koreans do...but the reason behind it would make no sense.
😠 This whole mess and sad story is all Yakone’s fault. If he hadn’t been so nice to his sons and train them to be bloodbenders as his tools of revenge. None of this would have happened. And because of it, Noatak run away and became Amon. It torn a family apart. Yakone is the worst father ever.
You can clearly said Yakone had a 360° mentally after Amon. Look at his face. He wasn't like Ozai I am pretty sure he also died due to his mental state after Amon left.
Imagine Amon remaining for 2 season. They explain how Amon learned to take away people's bendings, how he found Tarrlok's house, how he learned to resist bloodbending, how he became Amon
What really scares me is not Amon bloodbending, but that he is bloodbending wolves... Just wolves... Not Owl-wolves, not Baboon-wolves... Just.... Wolf.
Well, I personally think that this was Aang's fault, he kept thinking that killing a villain was wrong and He only took away the bending. But look at Yakone, even though His bending was gone, the evil spirit within Him was preserved, and He then created a monster, which is another new problem.
It does indeed seem like a cascade of events starting from Aang's energybending. For all we know, Amon's chi path block move might have been inspired from energybending itself. Seeing that such a thing exists motivated him to experiment with waterbending and make the new move, which ended up affecting Korra. And this carries on the trend of one avatar's problems branching off from the past avatar's mistakes. Roku's mercy ended up wiping the Air nomads and plunged the world into war. And Aang's mercy gave rise to a much more serious threat than a maniacal firebender.
Idk about variety. Bumi being born a non bender isn’t far fetched seeing how Hakoda and Kya weren’t benders either. And We don’t know if Yakone’s wife was a bender like Katara is.
bending isn't a genetic trait, it's a spiritual gift benders can have non-bender children and non-benders can have bender children it's implied that the place where the child was born could influence whether or not they would awaken bender powers
Aang had all 4 bending abilities. His marriage with Katara opened up possibilities for kids with any of the 4 bending abilities, as well as a non-bender. Between Yakone and his wife, only non-benders and waterbenders could be born. So having 2 kids have waterbending is not far-fetched.
This was the first time I strongly disagreed with Mike and Bryan. This entire backstory felt incredibly rushed and I felt it undermined Amon as a villain. Amon was clearly based on V from V for Vendetta - the whole point his character was to be this revolutionary mystery man. I really liked his story he told about the spirits being upset with the world and using him as a convoy to exact justice.
The funniest part is that both Tarlok and Noahtok look like Yakone AFTER the surgery.
they also look like their unnamed mother, so theres that to take into consideration as well
I would say that Noatak/Amon looks wise takes after his mother while Tarrlok looks wise takes after Yakone.

3:43 That pack of wolf are not an helpless animal. They have fang, agility, claw etc. Human are helpless if encounter with empty hand.
Yeah, that's the trade-off we made for our brains and our technical skills. Unarmed, we're among the weakest animals on the planet, but fangs and claws won't get you to the moon.
It’s sad how he became a monster😔he was so happy as a kid
Amon is literally the strongest waterbender don't know why everyone is blinded by nostalgia and say that it's katara
Amon is the most powerful villain
The story was so sad 😔

Bloodbending father5:44.
“We’re ur sons, not ur tools of revenge”

Bloodbending!!!
Giving you complete control over your enemies right up until the writers need you to lose!!!
When the writers use plotbending 😒
Here’s my theory. I think that shortly before Noatak ran away, Yakone had sort of given up on Tarlok and put more of his efforts into training Noatak, because Tarlok says that after Noatak ran away, his father stopped training him. My theory is that the night when Yakone made them bloodbend each other, he wasn’t training both of them, he was using Tarlok to give Noaktak training to resist bloodbending
it's crazy how hardcore avatar fans claim TLOK villians to be trash. Aman's and Zaheer's story was incredible, and it made Ozai's overall motive of being the "pheonix king" that rules the world seem completely childish. but i guess nostalgia is blinding
they don't know better, keep comparing TLA and TLoK won't do any better as a fans
Exactly.
Childish? Thats literally how countries were back during the war lol
@@sckaze777 That's literally how kids think. lol
@@sckaze777 yep and it's childish and one dimensional. Ozai was objectively a very one dimensional villain that just wanted to rule the world just because, which is fine. but when compared to Aman and Zaheer he was a boring character and it's crazy how ATLA fans claim Korrah villains to be trash when Ozai was a thing and was the villain for 3 seasons
Indra and Ashura
Huh ?
@@gabrielaleactus9932 How familiar are you with the Naruto/Boruto franchise?
No black zetsu tho
By far the most grim story in the Avatar franchise.
You see those two hair twins at 2:08 it’s what was seen from Azula.
This was a sad story & great scene. Makes me wanna watch the series now
Season 1 was the best of Kora
I can't decide between season 2 or 3 but all I know is season 4 was the least
@@blitzcomet3338season 4 was meh to be honest

To me, 5:40 to 6:18 is the best part of this video. ❤🎉
Yakone went full Cage Travolta on us
😠 This whole mess and sad story is all Yakone’s fault. If he hadn’t been so nice to his sons and train them to be bloodbenders as his tools of revenge. None of this would have happened. And because of it, Noatak run away and became Amon. It torn a family apart. Yakone is the worst father ever.
I just simply wonder where Yakone learned Bloodbending. Self-Taught out of curiosity like Hama? At Yakone's age, He's already alive during ATLA.
You can clearly said Yakone had a 360° mentally after Amon.
Look at his face.
He wasn't like Ozai
I am pretty sure he also died due to his mental state after Amon left.
Interesting 🎉😊
❤
Interesting movie
A bit of a plot hole. But its funny how Tarlokk and Amon looks more like Yakone after the surger not before surgery
They look like their mother
Best vilain
I think so
Goes to show villains are often created by whoever is around them
I wish they kept the brothers around and they'd return later.
I feel like mist bending is underutilized in the series since its kind of air bending for water.
Am glad someone else is talking about it
Calling out Zach Callison for playing 11 yo Tarrlok.
Why is it these cool techniques are allways forbidden smh
This one will corrupt most.
Because they are so dangerous and potentionally deadly. He could cause a lot of harm to his victims (similar as it is illegal to shoot people)
@@senseideidara650 It's not that bloodbending can't be useful. It's that most will get corrupted by that power and can't be trusted with it.
@@JamaicaZ160R1793010AThat’s what they said. It’s dangerous
@@nationalinstituteofcheese3012 Yes. Useful and helpful but dangerous.
Poor wolfs I feel bad

Imagine Amon remaining for 2 season. They explain how Amon learned to take away people's bendings, how he found Tarrlok's house, how he learned to resist bloodbending, how he became Amon
When all said and done Yakone was lonely and eprished , he's gone
5:58 - 6:07 : That was the bloodbending talking
6:15 - 6:17 : That was Noatak
What really scares me is not Amon bloodbending, but that he is bloodbending wolves... Just wolves... Not Owl-wolves, not Baboon-wolves... Just.... Wolf.
That place is weird
Amon was hot back then lol
It’s funny that Noatak sounds just like Aang at the part where he and Tarlok are first practicing their waterbending.
Same voice actor
Amon is easily the best villain of the franchise
Well, I personally think that this was Aang's fault, he kept thinking that killing a villain was wrong and He only took away the bending. But look at Yakone, even though His bending was gone, the evil spirit within Him was preserved, and He then created a monster, which is another new problem.
That’s why Aang should have listened to avatar Kyoshi about finishing off enemies to dangerous to be left free especially if they can’t be redeemed.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee A strong possibility and there may be more to it as well.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee Agree, the mercy which is given to a wrong person will create a future problem.
@@rudrodeepchatterjeeIt definitely was inspired by Aang. He even said here “The Avatar is the most powerful” cause he knows Aang defeated his father.

Unpopular opinion. Season 1 is the bestt season
Yakone is voiced by Clancy Brown who also voices Long Feng and Mr Krabs
How can Aang such a variety of different abilities in his children but Yakone can transfer his ability 100%?
Idk about variety. Bumi being born a non bender isn’t far fetched seeing how Hakoda and Kya weren’t benders either. And We don’t know if Yakone’s wife was a bender like Katara is.
bending isn't a genetic trait, it's a spiritual gift
benders can have non-bender children and non-benders can have bender children
it's implied that the place where the child was born could influence whether or not they would awaken bender powers
Well maybe because his. Spirit are so strong make his children inherited all of his ability just like ozai with zuko and azula
@@firxanza5172well it could be genetic through a recessive trait from an ancestral heritage.
Aang had all 4 bending abilities. His marriage with Katara opened up possibilities for kids with any of the 4 bending abilities, as well as a non-bender.
Between Yakone and his wife, only non-benders and waterbenders could be born. So having 2 kids have waterbending is not far-fetched.
idc young amons so fine😭
This was the first time I strongly disagreed with Mike and Bryan. This entire backstory felt incredibly rushed and I felt it undermined Amon as a villain. Amon was clearly based on V from V for Vendetta - the whole point his character was to be this revolutionary mystery man. I really liked his story he told about the spirits being upset with the world and using him as a convoy to exact justice.
They should have made another episode about his Origins how he became Amon, learned to take away bendings, found Tarrlok's house
