Legitimately the saddest story and ending (the brothers' ultimate fate) of all of Avatar.
(sad appa noises)
Watch avatar before you say this
@@keanoudupper1194i'm sorry but as a villain and story Aman easily comes out on top when compared to Ozai's childish dream of becoming the "pheonix king" simply because he wants to rule the world. Ozai's motive and story was completely 1 dimensional
@@keanoudupper1194I’ve watched Avatar multiple times over and completely agree with this statement. In terms of a sad backstory AND ending, nobody in the franchise compares to Amon.
Ok
The funniest part is that both Tarlok and Noahtok look like Yakone AFTER the surgery.
they also look like their unnamed mother, so theres that to take into consideration as well
I would say that Noatak/Amon looks wise takes after his mother while Tarrlok looks wise takes after Yakone.
ehhhh Yakone looks less different just more younger
ehhhh Yakone looks less different just more younger

The best Story out of the Avatar universe. After fighting Zaheer and Kuvira, Amon should have been the final antagonist. Amazing backstory.
Unalaq should be the final antagonist in the series and Amon should be the 2nd final antagonist.
Amon is the superior warrior and he was able to take away Korra’s bending. Unalaq had to rely and lies and deception to get what he wanted. He may have become the dark avatar but even that was not enough compared to Amon’s skills.
It should have gone Zaheer, Amon, Unalaq.
For me unalaq amon zaheer n kuvira @@Alexander-wq7qo
big facts. My favorite plot twist out of both shows
“Stay away from him.”
“How DARE you bloodbend ME??!”
“What’re you gonna do about it? You’re the weak one.”😭😂bro was cold
Still not as cold as Yakone.
Yeah, bloodbending makes its users insane
Well what if Yakone learn the beltbending
That’s betrayal
Hahahahahaha ye😂😂😂😂😂
Amon didn’t take bending away, he just blocks the ability to bend. Aang however takes the ability away completely. It’s just levels
Amon was more skilled tho he did so much damage without the avatat state
Seems like some form of chi blocking, vs. Aang who uses spirit bending.
@@shin29534He ain’t the Avatar bruh 😂
He essentially does as they both lead to the same result.
@@darknessemblemflame3036exactly people need to realize there’s more than one path to the same goal lol
Especially since energy bending was the only way to reverse what amon did
Imagine if this show was planned from the beggining to have more than one season, maybe he would've got more of Tarlok and Amon
As it turns out your right amon was going to come back in season 2 with water limbs but the creators weren't certain about the shows future so tge ended amon's story prematurely
@@Spicystachegameroh so that's kind of why Ming Hua exist. And she was originally gonna have bloodbending as well.
@@SpicystachegamerWHAT???? SMH!!!!
As someone else had said, the creators of this show made it with one hand tied behind their back by Nickelodeon and still delivered 3 excellent season and 1 mediocre one.
I really wanted more of Amon honestly :(
Out of all the villains in this show, Amon was the most interesting to me
Sad that his story just ends in season 1 like that :(
Funny how Korra said she learned more compassion at the end of the series but she was always compassionate, this scene proves it as you can see how empathetic she is towards Tarrlok despite having more than enough reason to be bitter/distrustful towards him after he fought and was using attacks that could've killed her, and kidnapped her
The similarities between Ozai and Yakone is crazy. Also Noatak being the prodigy like Azula. Tarlok not having the stomach to be ruthless like Zuko. Crazy parallels.
Both of the got their bending taken away by Aang
At least yakone still loving his child
@@KanoKingoftheworld How is making your children bloodbend eachother "love"?
By Book 3 Zuko proved to be as powerful as Azula in their fight at the airships, every move was a stalemate.
When they both fell in the air.
Zuko is very much a prodigy, beating much older benders than him.
He was simply growing at a slower rate than his sister and was a late bloomer.
In the comics Azula grew stronger than ever and while Azula did kick him at the end their fire bending was equal in every panel, including being in a stalemate with their fire daggers.
She only won by aggressiveness and hand to hand skill.
As for Tarrlok he just didn't want it like Amon did.We cant compare their talent,Amon revelled in his power and wanted more.
Tarrlok didn't.
Also Yakone didnt injure any of his children and he eventually became regretful after Amon left
Ozai was far more evil
Azula is also younger while Amon was older.
And Azula was satisfied at Ozai hurting Zuko while Amon bloodbended his father for threatening Tarrlok.
There are parallels but a lot of differences too
exactly and the scene where tarrlock refuses to bloodbend and yakone gets mad is similar to the Agni Kai. If Noatak didn't intervene tarrlock might've had a scar like zukos too!!
One of the most impactful scenes in legend of Korra, Amon went full legend vs his father but ended up the same..
He didn't cos he started a revolution, not become a triad member.
@@liliantan2379Yakone’s plan was beyond gangsterism I would say. His power was too strong for that.
If Bloodbending is declared illegal thanks to Katara she must have admitted that she was one herself but hated that skill.
Yeah but no one would have found her guilty of being a bloodbender. Before she decreed it illegal, no one would be punished unless they used bloodbending after the law was put in place. Which includes Katara herself. On top of that, everyone would understand that she's not a ruthless monster who uses it for selfish reasons. So no ill will would have been thrown her way regardless of the laws protection. Sure she would have feared those possibilities but she's not a coward. As far as we know nothing bad came out of her revealing she practiced bloodbending when she was a child
Yeah Katara was basically force to learn bloodbending to save sokka and aang.
She’s so biased
@poodie3887 Just because she's biased, doesn't make it a bad decision
@@jmcauley650 who she the moral police

I still think Season 1 and Amon is the best Villain and Season of Korra. Wish they would've known they were gonna go for 4 seasons and just did a lot more with the Equalists and Amon.
Does anyone else notice that young amon was voiced by aangs voice actor.
? like he sounds like him?
I thought so too!!!
I noticed immediately 😂 jarring
No it’s Jacob Bertrand (Eli/Hawk from Cobra Kai) not Zach Tyler Eisen
@@chiefsalvaje6557I had no idea!
The brothers loved each other. Gosh, my heart broke.
Fun fact the voice of amon is the same voice of orochimaru from Naruto and green goblin from spectacular spider man
Steve Blum is everywhere
Yup
wolverine, sub zero, spike segal
and the voice of teenage Amon is Hawk from Cobra Kai
yakone is mr krabs
Looking back on this, it made me realize how similar this is to Zuko and Azula's backstory. Ozai is Yakone, Azula is Noatok and Zuko is Tarrlock.
It also changes the way I perceived Azula, as I used to believe she was born evil. However, like Noatok, Azula grew up that way, becoming the epitome of Ozai's twisted perfection. Both Azula and Noatok were forced to become weapons for their father's agendas, not even having the ability to choose what type of life they truly wanted.
I never realized that😮
But fortunately zuko have iroh on his side
Nah, Azula really seemed to relish in being evil, even from a young age. She took after her father, and Zuko after his mother.
Bloodbending is OP that can block chi and make enemies unable to bend 😂 it can even make avatar unable to bend 😂😂
1 thing about it is you can't bend FOREVER unless a giant turtle teach you or someone how to undo it
@@luvvvyz1391 Korra had one of the biggest plot armor and great fortune by producer. Amon should win and the producer knows they created a S tier manipulator with great power.
It's a dark family of the waterbending

Until Aang enters Avatar state🔥
That scene where the boys bloodbend the wolves is really sad especially the whimpering they make. You can tell they're in pain and it's sad to see.
3:35 This part makes me cry 😢 Bloodbending is so cruel to poor helpless animals!
Am I the only one who thinks the mom looks young enough to be Yakone’s daughter?
Kinky old man.
Age gap and show setting in early 1900
I guess it's pretty common, Tenzin and his wife are 15 years apart for one
Fun fact amon n his brother both voiced by LEGENDS dee Bradley baker n steve blum plus they r both real close friends in real life
"Put an end to this sad story."
Amon is incredible.
Facts
bloodbending is the most dangerous type of bending ever but everything thing about it it is just so cool...just not the killing part...am i the only one who thinks like this ?
No you aren’t , this is the only satisfying thing about the sequel & before bloodbending was ever created if I was in the avatar verse I would never choose it as a first option , maybe fire or air, but now that’s it’s in the picture I would be a water bender 100%
@anaiahvijay Not at all, welcome, fellow psychopath.😂
It’s very horrifying, not being able to control your own body, being controlled like a doll😰
@poodie3887 I am so glad I am not the only one !! I would definitely be water but fire would be my second choice
Amon is the best villian in LoK. Backstory and abilities far more intrigue than the others. They should have amon be the only final villian and expose him slowly throughout. Meaning this flashback should be axed.
I think making Amon a one season antagonist is the best decision. 1 season is already enough to cover up all you need to know about him. Making him a full series season will only make it worse.
Unalaq is the best
Those kids would have been lucky if their mom never married their father, he made Amon the person he has become and knowing Aang took his bending away shows him as the Avatar was the most powerful being on the planet
Councilman Tarlok is secretly a Clone trooper telling a story of his bender story
Of course without Dee Bradley Baker's acting half-australian-half-american accent. Temuera Morrison has a New Zealand accent.
And that clone trooper is a clone of Dr. Connors AKA. The Lizard
I like how most villains start out with a tragic bad story involving mommy and daddy issues
Can you imagine this being a live action PG13 or R Rated series?
After the Netflix adaptation of the last airbender, I don't think it's impossible.
It goes Bloodbending > Fire bending with Sozins comet > Fire bending with full sun > Waterbending with full moon
I'd think water ending with full moon would be stronger because a full moon is rarer than a full sun.
Nope, water bending is more powerful
Waterbending Full Moon > Firebending with Sun (Literally everyday bruh 😂)

I’m confused about 2:01. The only other known bloodbenders at this time were Katara and Hama, with Hama literally creating/discovering the technique. So how can they be from the strongest line of bloodbenders???
Yakone was the first one to be capable of bloodbending without a full moon, so his line would technically be the strongest bloodbenders, even though it was just him at the time.
@@andrewpenn1145 gotcha. Thank you!

0:18 I give Yakone credit, he must have been a respectful boss that his old gang put effort to free him and give him surgery. Which is something compared to how Zolt was replaced so casually in Triple Threat Triad.
The music in this scene is one of my favorites from the soundtracks of A:TLA and LOK
I wish they would of just ran away with their mom and explained the whole thing to her
Their mom wouldnt leave, its her home, her village and i think she still loved her husband. She would probably try to make peace and keep the family together and act as if nothing ever happened
@@senseideidara650Probably true, sadly
I'm getting some whiplash by returning to this series and recognising the voice actors.... Tarrlok is the clone troopers from the Clone Wars and Yakone is Mr. Krabs
This is basically Itachi and Sasuke
Indra and Ashura too
The main difference is that Noatakk hurt his younger brother by "killing" himself while Itachi hurt his by literally killing the entire clan.
But personally, the whole backstory is similar to Invincible...
SPOILERS FOR INVINCIBLE SEASON 1 BELOW........
Omni man is like Yakone while his sons are like Mark.
• Both fathers act so innocent at first with their family. But once their children start to develop the expected powers (Waterbending; Viltrumite abilities), the fathers slowly start to show their true colors as they train their children and pressure them to carry on their legacy (Bloodbending and Revenge; Conquering planets under the Viltrum empire).
• Eventually, the children end up rebelling against the fathers due to disagreeing with their true intentions (Noatakk gets fed up and betrays his dad before running away; Mark ends up in a one-sided battle with his father after just finding out his true intentions)
• And a bonus: the mothers are left clueless (except Mark's mother finds out the truth during the one-sided battle while Noatakk's mother apparently NEVER knows the truth about her husband and how he taught the kids bloodbending... what a victim).
Yakone is Fugaku with hiashi attitude and butsuma/tajima mindset
No, it's really not.
6:36 he left his family behind and never return
Amon is the strongest bender (aftter the avatars), and he is also quite skilled in non-bender combat. Azula is a aksi prodigy for example, but she has no chance against Amon.
Amon should had been the main villain of the show, should had leaned against conflict between non benders and benders causing a civil war.
But then we would've never gotten the Red Lotus and Kuvira, so I have to disagree.
@@prismanic24 Red Lotus can still exist, Kuvira can be first season villain since she isnt that great compare to the others
I just realized, of all the creatures and combo-animals in the world of the Avatar, how are their wolves and bison just roaming the ice lands????
I mean the Earth kings pet bear Basco was just an ordinary bear,so that means that ordinary animals exist in the world of avatar alongside fictional hybrid animals.

Exactly.
Childish? Thats literally how countries were back during the war lol
@@sckaze777 That's literally how kids think. lol
@@sckaze777 yep and it's childish and one dimensional. Ozai was objectively a very one dimensional villain that just wanted to rule the world just because, which is fine. but when compared to Aman and Zaheer he was a boring character and it's crazy how ATLA fans claim Korrah villains to be trash when Ozai was a thing and was the villain for 3 seasons
The way Tarlok thought of the mom and Noatak didn’t smh. She honestly was the most innocent here, I wish they told her what happened
But fr asking about the mom was nothing but human

3:43 That pack of wolf are not an helpless animal. They have fang, agility, claw etc. Human are helpless if encounter with empty hand.
Yeah, that's the trade-off we made for our brains and our technical skills. Unarmed, we're among the weakest animals on the planet, but fangs and claws won't get you to the moon.
14 years old Noatak alone can defeat The Powerful Team Azula. Ty Lee try to Chi Block Noatak but nothing happen. Mai wouldn't even stand a chance. Wonder what Azula reaction after her very own first defeat like Iroh said : "She needs to go down."

😠 This whole mess and sad story is all Yakone’s fault. If he hadn’t been so nice to his sons and train them to be bloodbenders as his tools of revenge. None of this would have happened. And because of it, Noatak run away and became Amon. It torn a family apart. Yakone is the worst father ever.
My question is how did amon pull a michael jackson and brightened his skintone as he aged, while tarlok and everyone else maintain the same complexion throughout all their lives
I feel like mist bending is underutilized in the series since its kind of air bending for water.
Am glad someone else is talking about it

What really scares me is not Amon bloodbending, but that he is bloodbending wolves... Just wolves... Not Owl-wolves, not Baboon-wolves... Just.... Wolf.
That place is weird
To me, 5:40 to 6:18 is the best part of this video. ❤🎉
How can Aang such a variety of different abilities in his children but Yakone can transfer his ability 100%?
Idk about variety. Bumi being born a non bender isn’t far fetched seeing how Hakoda and Kya weren’t benders either. And We don’t know if Yakone’s wife was a bender like Katara is.
bending isn't a genetic trait, it's a spiritual gift
benders can have non-bender children and non-benders can have bender children
it's implied that the place where the child was born could influence whether or not they would awaken bender powers
Well maybe because his. Spirit are so strong make his children inherited all of his ability just like ozai with zuko and azula
@@firxanza5172well it could be genetic through a recessive trait from an ancestral heritage.
Aang had all 4 bending abilities. His marriage with Katara opened up possibilities for kids with any of the 4 bending abilities, as well as a non-bender.
Between Yakone and his wife, only non-benders and waterbenders could be born. So having 2 kids have waterbending is not far-fetched.
Well, I personally think that this was Aang's fault, he kept thinking that killing a villain was wrong and He only took away the bending. But look at Yakone, even though His bending was gone, the evil spirit within Him was preserved, and He then created a monster, which is another new problem.
That’s why Aang should have listened to avatar Kyoshi about finishing off enemies to dangerous to be left free especially if they can’t be redeemed.
It does indeed seem like a cascade of events starting from Aang's energybending.
For all we know, Amon's chi path block move might have been inspired from energybending itself. Seeing that such a thing exists motivated him to experiment with waterbending and make the new move, which ended up affecting Korra.
And this carries on the trend of one avatar's problems branching off from the past avatar's mistakes. Roku's mercy ended up wiping the Air nomads and plunged the world into war. And Aang's mercy gave rise to a much more serious threat than a maniacal firebender.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee A strong possibility and there may be more to it as well.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee Agree, the mercy which is given to a wrong person will create a future problem.
@@rudrodeepchatterjeeIt definitely was inspired by Aang. He even said here “The Avatar is the most powerful” cause he knows Aang defeated his father.
Kinda tragic how things for the both of them…. Generational curses, if not broken they have potential to consume you
