Treibball: Training the Basic Nose Touch with a Ball Biter

Here is the approach I took with a dog who has a known history of biting the balls (he plays soccer and uses primarily his paws and teeth to manipulate the ball). It helps him to learn to use his nose, rather than his teeth or paws. I have no doubt that he would pop a yoga ball the first time he sees one.

Thanks for the video!! :) I just discovered Treibball and my 9-month old Aussie has a "bad habit" of biting and pawing to move a ball. I was wondering how to break the habit without curtailing her desire to reach for the ball.

You are correct. Even more than the video shows! He was a dog in foster care with some medical issues. He should have been about 18 lbs and was a whopping 28! Had breathing problems due to the extra weight.

My puppy is a ball biter and I recently tried to play with her with a soccer ball, she keeps biting it...! I'll try the methods mentioned here to teach her to touch/push the ball!! Thank you for the video😄
