Also Usyk has been known to play possum in fights before to lure the champions into underestimating him . He played possum with Chisora by only fighting to 30% of his ability to manipulate AJ into fighting him, Then he unleashed a pearl harbour style attack on AJ by fighting with 100% of his abilities and the rest is history he decimated, toyed and dominated AJ in the two easy and effortless fights. He's probably done the same with Dubious putting on an Oscar worthy acting performance rolling on the canvas of the squared circle with all the best amateur dramatics and theatrics he could muster to lure Tyson Fury into a fight. And like a moth to a flame or a fly to a black widows web Tyson has foolishly been suckered and hypnotised into the deadly ring of fire of Usyks very own creation

    • @BernhardBernard

@@laurarules3642 Usyk is a tactical master and very well read in the art of war but he was dealing with health problems for Chisora and shorter pressure fighters are Usyks weakness I.E his world series of boxing match against Nistor.
The wet ring was obvious because he kept slipping. It's was after the belt shot that he adjusted and stayed in range and started walking D down.
I don't think he's that crazy to risk a close fight with Chisoras in his own country or to roll around on the ground in front of his fellow countrymen on Ukrainian indepence day seems a stretch also. But as far as Chisora, he had a rough night (all fighters have them. Sometimes you get in there and don't even feel like yourself) and D might have clipped his guard. It's possible and by his reaction I think so. But that's a hot topic and either way both Usyk and Fury have seen fantastic night and some pretty lack luster performances. I think the edge goes to Usyk myself but if the ref allows Furys rough house tactics he's the favorite. A lot depends on the ref

      @Alex-cw3rz Рік тому

@@Rosseboi you think Usyk with a huge reach disadvantage will be the on to establish the jab against Klitschko. You Usyk fans have no idea.
Usyk's work rate is 1 to 3 punch landed more than Klitschko per round, however Klitschko was fighting the much better competition with much better defense. Usyk throws a lot but lands so little that it turns into as little as 1 punch landed more against much lower level competition than Klitschko.
No you weren't, the idea you can be Klitschko fan and know nothing about him, heck the fact that in your description of this fight all that happens is Klitschko doesn't show off why is one of the hardest punchers of all time, his brilliant outside work, his strategy or his great ring IQ. No Usyk just out jabs him and then Klitschko gases like a current heavyweight, when Klitschko has better stamina than current heavyweights, espcially the ones Usyk has fought. Klitschko beats Samuel Peters an excellent inside boxer yet can't beat Usyk someone who is good at inside boxing when it's required, but not someone who for example has done the best Gazelle Hook ever. Yet Klitschko can beat that, but not Usyk because suddenly Usyk will win on the inside.

Fury SHOULD win, but whether he does or not remains to be seen. Usyk seems to be his bogeyman mentally for sure. Fury hates the thought of losing his ‘0’, in fact he’s terrified of losing that lifelong bragging right of never getting beat.
That has caused this fight to be off so many times. Fury has seen something in Usyk that scares him. Maybe the calm demeanour and the fact he talks a different language and feels he can’t get into Usyks head plays a part in it? But Fury is very wary of Usyk. I think the difference for Fury in this fight is that he isn’t the hunter like he was against Klitschko and Wilder. Instead he’s the hunted, because it’s Usyk that wants all the belts and he’s been desperate to fight Fury to get the last one. So you can bet your last £ that Usyk will have a game plan and huge determination. What will Fury’s attitude be? We know he’s only fighting because he’s got the money he wants. Fourth belt, legacy is a nice to have but not a motivation. Preserve his unbeaten record for pride might hit the spot more, but will it be enough? We all know Fury has the skill and the power to win, and just as much stamina and ring IQ as the Ukrainian. But does he want it as much? I guess we’ll find out on the night, but right now even though everything points to a Fury win, I’m not sure he will unless he wants it more than Usyk.

Those smaller heavyweights with movement and guile have always caused him problems.
2 of the 3 men to drop him were smaller less technical versions of Usyk.

It should be a good fight if it does happen. As for me, my money is on Usyk, i think he was sandbagging with Dubois (Fury isn't the only one who can play games) and let Fury see exactly what he needed to see.. He's already said the only fight he's interested in is Fury, Uysk will put blood and guts into the Fury fight, Fury will get more than he bargained for. This will be a big test for Fury, if Usyk is on his top game i think Fury is going to really struggle with his style.

@@Alex-cw3rz yeah the majority of the guys Ali fought in the 70’s would be tough for Usyk to beat. Picture a Frazier, Norton, Foreman etc against Usyk, it’s hard to see him lasting? Ali proved time and time again that he was so tough he could literally take anything and find a way to win. Until he got past it that is, with Holmes & Berbick but that’s obvious. I still think of the Foreman fight as his greatest moment. Foreman had been destroying everyone put in front of him and was at that time an unbeaten 24 year old champion in his prime. Ali took everything heroically and fought back in superb bursts of combinations stunning Foreman periodically, and that was part of the plan. It was exactly one of these fast combinations that eventually put George down. But you can see Ali doing these all throughout the fight. For me, far, far better and much more proven a boxer than the 21 fight Usyk. Ali in his 21st fight beat liston for the 2nd time- then proceeded to have FORTY more fights! Beating everyone in the 60’s and 70’s AFTER this level Usyk is at now. There’s no real comparison between the two. Can you even imagine Usyk fighting at title level another 40 times? I can’t! 👍

Usyk getting hit in 8oz gloves is going to be going to be a totally new and horrible experience for him, as more power is transferred in the punches. I totally agree, Foreman fight because Ali was considered an underdog as well in that fight.
Exactly there really is no comparison, the more you look into it the more ridiculous it gets there is such a huge gulf between the two. I can't even imagine Usyk fighting another 5 fights, let alone as you say 40.

Agree with Groves about the Klitschko fight. Firstly the fight was boring as hell. Klitschko was not at the races at all, in the middle of a divorce and not taking Fury too seriously after all those years at the top. Fury did just enough though even he admitted he wasn't sure he'd won until the verdict. If you look at Fury's performance that night it was clearly during his juiced-up period where he had an extra, erm, element to his physique and concentration levels. He can't rely on that or dodgy gloves now, so let's hope Usyk embarrasses the giant kn*bhead, though it seems unlikely given the difference in stature.

True enough. You can't be in a fight without getting hit at some point.

How many times in 371 fights has 6'3" 200 lbs Usyk been decked by a punch to the head - compared to the 6 times decked 6'9" 270 lbs Fury in just 34 fights?

@hiyadroogs How many times has Fury been dropped to the body compared to Usyk? 0-3. The vast majority of Fury's knockdowns (4) come from one man (Deontay Wilder) with the biggest right hand currently in boxing. When has Usyk ever taken a flush power shot from someone like Wilder? If he did he'd be sparked out let alone get up to win. Anyone can pull weird stats mate. Try comparing their styles and justify how Usyk outjabs Fury at range or beats him inside. Fury will smother Usyk and target his body, make the fight v ugly, and when needed flick his jab at range. I like Usyk but stylistically I don't see how he overcomes that.

@Neil-qg9cw I'm simply being objective,, rather than emotional.
But 6'2" 208 lbs cruiserweight Cunningham also decked 258 lbs Fury with a single punch. & Cunningham wasn't known as a puncher even at cruiserweight.
Usyk has been hurt by foul shots below the belt, but so would anyone.
Usyk took 20 low blows from Dubois without flinching, until the deciding one hit the leg nerve that Dubois was aiming for.
I'm not suggesting that Usyk is invulnerable to any particular shot. He's a human being, & all humans are physiologically vulnerable. Including Fury.
Fury isn't as vulnerable to the body, because he is is vastly bigger than his opponents & covered in 30 lbs of belly fat.
Far more impressive, however, is Usyk. Who despite being 40 lbs lighter & much smaller than some of his opposition, hasn't been hurt or knocked down by anything other than one foul shot.
      Here's food for thought, though:
If Usyk was also 6'9" & 270 lbs in weight.. would you give Fury an ice cream's chance inside a blast furnace of winning? Let alone if Fury were 6'3" & 220 lbs.

There is no doubt that Usyk is hungrier than Fury. No question and that will play a part. If Fury can frustrate Usyk and draw him into a physical fight with wrestling, he wins. He's just too big and heavy. If Usyk can take his hunger and break Fury's will to win with it, it'll happen by round 7-8. He needs to _sting_ Fury repeatedly to do that. Use his speed and somehow get past Fury's jab.

This is a very hard fight to call, but I'm going with Usyk for the following reasons:
    (1) fury has not fought good competition after his last Wilder fight, And he appears to really let himself go between fights. Usyk On the other hand is the consummate professional, and appears to keep himself in top shape at all times. Bottom line is I am suspicious as to whether fury will be in top form so soon after his fight with Francis, and he will need to be in order to win.
    (2) With everything that is going on in the Ukraine right now, I strongly suspect that Usyk Will be tremendously motivated to win this fight, probably more for his country than for himself, Whereas I feel Tyson will be more motivated by money and simply the desire not to lose. I just don't think his will to win will be as strong.
All that said, fury is a skillful fighter who I think instinctively knows how to turn a fight around if he needs to. Usyk Does also appear to be vulnerable to the body so that's something that might get him in trouble if fury targets it effectively. Honestly I just hope we get this fight I remain skeptical that it's actually going to happen.

Usyk does throw more punches than any heavyweight today (you go back to the golden era and he's throwing around average, before then slightly below average) however his accuracy is abysmal in both AJ fights he landed 21% of his punches, Fury recently lands in the high 30%. This means that even though Usyk throws double the number of punches he only lands a few more punches per round on average. So all Fury needs to do is come in lighter up his volume slightly and be what he is the most defensively minded boxer Usyk has faced in heavyweight and he will land more punches than Usyk.
Edit : as always with Propa's comments he has a lot of Usyk fans who down vote anything that points out any weakness Usyk has because they are obsessive fans.

Usyks accuracy low? lol he was teeing off on him from the first 10 seconds at will... There's some footage of Usyk talking to kids in a gym after Joshua 1 & he explains what he's doing. Its to force his opponent to move - he puts his arm out, Joshua has to move his whole body in reaction & it gases him out. he's not trying to connect or score, he's making them move - which he did successfully.

He seems like exactly the sort of boxer who Fury will struggle with. And we've seen before that Usyk is well capable of keeping up a high level of performance for an entire fight without losing concentration. If it does play out like that, I think Fury is too tough to be stopped by anything other than the final bell.

This may be a controversial opinion, but I think Fury has more Power than AJ and even Deontay Wilder. Most of his career he has been a defensive boxer so obviously you can't base this claim on total knockouts, but after seeing what he did to Deontay twice, you can't really deny it. Deontay looked shook and the power of some of those punches made Deontay move and fall in ways I've never seen replicated.
I just think Fury finally discovered that he was a better offensive fighter than defensive one after the draw with Deontay and from then on we are witnessing a new Fury.

I would place my bet on Usyk simply because he is the more professional Athlete who is workin day and night, wants to fight for his country and is still hungry for belts and becoming the greatest Boxer since Ali.
On the other hand i dont think that Fury has much to motivate himself for the upcoming fight and he is known for being lazy in training camps. I bet its just one large paycheck for him before he retires and he also was never the guy that trained his ass of only for glory. In addition he hates fighting quick and nimble guys who dont wonna trade shots with him.
But u should never underestimate his insanely high ring IQ and the ability to adept on the spot. That in combination with his physik and his gipsy way of fighting could throw Usyk off. But i predict that Usyk gonna wear him down over 12 rounds.

Groves said Fury tested positive not long after Klitschko, which is true, but he forgot to mention Fury failed his first drug test the same year he fought Klitschko, in 2015. Earlier on in the year. And that was steroids. So Fury should have been serving at least a 2 year ban at the time the Klitschko fight happened. Somehow his team managed to delay the official ban for 3 years. Think Kinahan had something to do with it.

Honestly? This could be a very one sided win by Fury, in dominant fashion.
If I was to bet I'd go for a stoppage.
I know that sounds mad considering just how talented and tough Usyk is I just don't see him being able to withstand what Fury brings power wise especially now that he actually puts some weight behind his punches instead of pawing a jab on the back foot for 12.
I don't want to talk about the Dubois body shot because it's a divisive issue I personally think it was legal but it's down to the refs instructions.
For an Usyk win I think he has to be punch perfect throughout 12 rounds, Fury has great endurance over 12 (Usyk does too) but having every physical advantage over the full fight should only work in his favour.
It's a tall order, those love handles of Fury can take a walloping, they're like car tires round his waist and his inside fighting/grappling is very very good, on top of his other attributes.

Size alone will not win a fight. People act like AJ is some small dude. Look at the man. The man is built like a fucking bull. He is a hard hitter too. It didn't matter and he fought Usyk twice. Fury might win who knows? But Usyk is a legit boxer. Olympic gold medalist. Unified world champ at cruiserweight, holds every belt at heavyweight apart from the WBC belt. You don't get to that level without some serious skills. I'll say this IF the fight happens it all depends on which version of Fury we get.
