The original song is about 4 years old so it's crazy how good he was even way back then.
fax
@Giannis Antetokounmpo he was rapping for 4 years tho , still young to the GAME
@Giannis Antetokounmpo nah the Zel verse is new
Old JID was more interesting tbh
@@Pizza_Rat are you trolling? No
Bro denzel's entrance is actual one of the best I've ever heard. Got me all hyped up at 3AM
1 am here hahaha
Bruh😭
5:30am here 🎉
This song go crazy!
It go dumb for sure.
I love seeing UA-camr supporting each other
bruh true this shit hard 🔥🔥🔥
Ok but has anyone else noticed lately jon has been doing the "clickbait face" in the thumbnail
@@avinashb9469 he probably takin the piss😂
I actually had a stank face for this whole song when I heard it 😂😂
ive listened to it 20 times at this point and still have it
Heard the original 2 years ago been lisen since shit still go hard
FACTS!
The thing I love about Denzel is even after listening to a song a few times, the way he announces himself and constantly changes flow, cadence just keeps you on your toes. My favourite artist out right now by far.
Couldn’t say it better
I love how Denzel performs his craft. He’s a true artist with exceptional talent.
JID said his album is dropping early 2021. There is no way it will be anything less than excellent.
I cant See cap in this comment cant wait till everybody is a JID Fan
DC2 was nothing more than decent and The Never Story was really good so i wonder where he will go next
@@dadorage1695 DiCaprio 2 is great wtf
@@brandonbell3696 Nowhere near great no
well this didn't end well
JID and Zel have such a brilliant contrast. JID had the best verse imo though, Zels verse was all presence
Zel had the energy to add to it
Facts and it isn't even close as good as Denzel was. Jid rapping wise reached a impossible level on this.
@@ezraprzytyk what?
@@gkay8889 lmao sorry let me re-word that I typed that while working 😅...... *facts, and even as good as Denzel is, it isn't even close who had the better verse. JID reached a near impossible level of rapping in his verse*

D-d-d-d-dam this song goes hard!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I’m a simple man, I see Jon post this reaction, I watch Jon’s reaction
Legit my favourite. Never gets old. Still looking for reactions I haven't seen.
I can perfectly remember the face I made when I heard the original for the first time and it was the exact same as Jon’s lol
Song of the year so far.
Joey, JID, Denzel, Cordae, and Marlon Craft. That's my futures 5 man squad.
Mick Jenkins? Saba? Boogie? Cordae isn't close to being on that list at all. Never really heard of Marlon Craft
I’ll replace Cordae with Saba. He is truly fire af
i part this song on repeat alot cant believe I haven't seen ur react to this yet
Been waiting for this one!
Hey Jon! Keep up the good work. Been watching since you first started rock reacts and have not enjoyed anyone else’s reactions as much as yours.
The day one JID fans been waiting on this
D-d-d-dope review
When the glasses go on 🔥🔥🔥
Been waiting for this
Hey Jon while we wait for big releases, you should react to Jaden syre, you’ll be surprise. Or the neighborhood band
Pretty sure he did syre but it got taken down
I figured, sad:;
I didn't even clock the Lil Ugly Mane - Bust a Sag line until now, fuckin G
This thing is just full of bars 🤣🤣🤣
this will be a great year for rap
2020 was a great year already
Wheel it every time g
Love this song too 🔥
STANK FACE THE WHOLEEEE TIME! Love it!
Straight fire in my hears
Cant believes folks used to say jid sounds like kendrick..honestly jid is his own man..from voice to even flow bruh..and I've been listening to kendrick since overly dedicated.technically jid might be even more talented...
He did Sound more like kendrick on the never story. With that being Said he has always had his own flow and style. Kendrick at the start of his career was compared a lot to Lil Wayne, q tip and andre 3000. Kendrick found his own style and i Think jid has done that aswell
React to Reason - “Extinct (extended)”
OMG YES
Denzel Curry came out the gate hot. Damn.
React to the new black country new road album
Finger accidentally slipped on the dislike button, you know I had to fix that shit REAL QUICK
been waiting for you to get on this, mate. Usually you're first. Focusing too much on your boy, Abel.
Yoo you should react to the song Pain by Page Kennedy feat. Elzhi and Methodman. It came out recently and I don’t see it getting much attention but it’s fantastic
JID is what Eminem thinks he is
They ain't ready for that conversation 😂
Amen
facts
💯
i would take 2000-2003 eminem over JID any day of the week , but hey thats just me ig
cordae up next there too for me with all of his versatility and the fact he's never missed yet
Cordae really ain't that impressive to me, he's so bland
A joint EP with these 2 would be disgusting
Cordae too
you just know Denzel freestyled that verse!!!⚡️
Waiting for the Slowthai and Skepta reaction for Cancelled ....
Honestly the only rapper I can put ahead of these 2 talent wise is Kendrick. It doesn’t get more top tier for rap than these guys
No disrespect but you need to listen to more rap, there are a LOT more rapper that are just better rappers or lyricist than these 2 and even Kendrick, Kendrick isn't the end all be all undisputed n#1 lyricist in the game right now, far from it, maybe top 25 in my opinion.
I'd say Saba is the best from that generation of new rappers with Denzel/JID, Mick Jenkins struggled to makes a great album again since the Waters but i'd say he's better too.
@@dadorage1695 I listen to Mick & Saba all the time my dude. When it’s all said and done Kendrick will be the goat based on his cumulative discography, features, and credits. The man has so much material most people don’t even know he’s been a part of. JID & Zel are that good if you listen to all their cumulative releases and features also. Plus with how frequent and consistently these guys each drop, it just shows how far ahead of everyone else they truly are.
@@johnsontlk220 You might not realize that you are seeing through a very small bubble of what hip-hop is, and in that bubble what you say might be true.
You'd be surprised after delving in the underground and realizing than 90% of the people who are ARTISTS just want to make art without fame, singles, paying 100k for big features or enough living from their music. A lot of incredible lyricists that are so far ahead of the people you mentionned could have a day job and just rap and write on the week-end, it's an entire world altogether.
@@dadorage1695 I listen to a wide range of artists including the underground for every genre, not just rap so I understand where you’re coming from. I’m quite well versed on a lot of the unknown talent in the rap game however guys like JID and Zel never were known for having people featured on their tracks, it’s always been their raw talent and if other artists feature them on their tracks. These guys are simply too good, you can’t possibly discredit them in any shape here.
@@johnsontlk220 JID wouldn't be as known if he wasn't on Dreamville, he's a great rapper don't get me wrong but a label helps a rapper getting known tremendously. Denzel got known for the Ultimate meme and had a Ross feature on Imperial who has a very loyal core fanbase.
I wouldn't put either of them in the top 20 lyricist of the past decade, i'm not discrediting them but i'm much tougher to impress, Denzel or JID are not underground, they are not the Billy Woods or Milo of this world by any stretch of the imagination.
Can you react to slowthai x skepta- cancelled. Good song, great music video
2:11 Surely Joey’s up there as well? For me he’s the closest currently
7:55 he mentions Joey. These 3 are so fucking good bro 😎
SC Ah I should’ve watched on before I commented sorry. All 3 are different class
@@Novack49 you all good bro, no disrespect, just wanted to show ya. And facts. They’re on a different level lyrically to the rest of the game
Saba
The reverend is MLK
Denzel and JID never miss
Neither does Jon
Idk about that JID being a bit of a lyrical miracle kinda put me off , but Denzel's verse was straight 🔥.
@@chilihotdog7257 You say he was being lyrical miracle yet he had more meaning to his verse than Zel who really said a bunch of nothing? Shut up
Literally
Di Caprio 2 was kind of a miss to me
“Made you half a man but not a Sag”
Sagittarius: Half-horse, half-man. Probably my favourite bar on this.
Please react cludder by JID
Magic maxipad as zel screams in the back 🔥🔥🔥🧯🧯🧯
Heeeeee mfkin snappped
@@dylanturner1075 cludder is dope 🔥
Imma big mortal kombat fan so "JID and Zel scorpion and sub zero" gotta be my favorite bar
J.I.D has a mastery of flow and delivery that few rappers can match. It ain’t even about being able to rap fast. He’s just such a dynamic rapper.
just the way he does it makes it entertaining, some lyrical rappers can’t do it like that
D-D-D
His delivery and flow is goat level
Pretty sure it's cause he was a drummer... You gotta have a good understanding of rhythms to be a good drummer, feel like he uses that greatly to his advantage.
He's a basic rapper
That full circle lyric hits different when you realize JID’s verse is from over four years ago. Shows he’s been on the top of his game for some time now
Makes me think back to Route of Evil JID in 2012 and how elite he was even then
6:59 a JID x Denzel joint album/EP would give me liiiffeeeee
Dude JID has the smooth sub zero chill ass flow. Zel pops in with the heated aggressive fire Scorpion bars. Ice and Fire song right here
This song had me makin faces I haven't made before in my life. Been waitin by my computer for this reaction 💪
@@miami_mutilator nah man im tellin you, song had me reinventing new facial expressions never done before by human face muscles
Denzel went hard af but imo JID is just on a different level rapping wise
Denzel is more about energy depth of lyrics, JID shines more in flow ad word play, both amazing
his verse was okay but he rode the energy jid created like an olympic skier. and the ending "jid and zel, Scorpion to Sub-Zero" sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
@@eden1738 facts 💯
@@isaiahbunten8931 I agree mostly but I'd say in most of JID's songs his lyrics are just as deep, just not the ones where he goes hard with flow and wordplay
@@isaiahbunten8931 both great but Denzel catalog top tier to me
JID, Denzel, Joey and Isaiah.. the 4 horsemen.
Joey been rapping years before them, i'd say Saba is better than Denzel and maybe Jid too
@@dadorage1695 Lmao. Joey was 13/14 when JID and Isaiah dropped their first projects.
@@dadorage1695 Saba better than Denzel ?? 🤣🤣
@@felix3033 Oh absolutely
@@dadorage1695 you crazy 🤦♂️
JID is so fucking good, what else is there to say🤷🏽♂️
Man his cadence and versatility of his different flows reminds me of Kendrick fr. J Cole knows he's got a legend on his label already but I totally agree with JD that we've barely scratched the surface of JID or even earthgang for that matter... Dreamville just getting started, some of these guys verses on ROTD3 just show how good they are but these next albums are gonna be classics
Coming back to this video and Jon predicted how successful these dudes' next projects would be.
“Clint Eastwood, killed the good and bad” - Cinephile bars
an ugly bar 1 line before too 🔥
4:10 Jon was not ready for that amount of bass lol. Got him looking like someone kicked his puppy
Underrated comment 😂🤣
JID is working on The Forever Story and Zel is working on Melt Your Eyez See Your Future. Hopefully both come this year 🙏
Most missed the miss piggy line.... “ she will pull up on an op, like what’s popping Kermie... “ referencing police 🔥🔥🔥
Why don’t i get it?
He didn't say that exactly. No miss pissy reference. He said jid pull up on a op..
JID, Denzel, Joey and Saba are the next wave of rap 100%
saba love is so based
I feel like we’re going to get punches to the desk in this vid
So glad to see Jid’s journey, been following him and earthgang for 3-4 years and happy as fuck to say I live in the city these guys claim! The og version of this song fits his flow even better but the bass kicks extra hard on this remix
i hate to be that guy but i heard so much kendrick in that JID verse. the way he played with his voice inflections, a solid chorus, mentions of racial issues, slight mention of sexual things, and the flow
2000s: Eminem, Jay Z, Nas
2010s: Kendrick, J.Cole, Drake
2020s: JID, Denzel, Joey? Maybe Roddy Rich for commercial success
But we in good hands either way
Not having Wayne in the 2000s is insulting.
@@razatiger22 True, Wayne did kill it. But there's so many more that could be up there Andre as well
@@baptista6191 True, I would replace Nas with Wayne considering the 90s is the decade hes most known for even tho he dropped heat in the 00s.
Jay-Z, Eminem and Wayne were the biggest Rappers of the 00s tho when it comes to hits and all 3 are very lyrical.
@@razatiger22 Fair play my man
The fuck is that list man LOL.
To be honest the peak part about s the beginning. Then opinion, they both rap to fast for the beat making the song dip. I think a rapper like mad child or someone who takes their time would be way better. Hopefully I'm not the only one?
JID stole my heart on Slick Talk, and Denzel stole it again when he did that Bulls on Parade cover
I was going to comment that Joey should be in that conversation before I got to the end of the video
Those 3 are all goated
7:08 “the never story from JID coming soon” lol
“Feel it, similar to fish on a skillet”
Fillet 🔥🔥🔥
I can't believe jid is 30 🤯
Yooo, listen to slowtai, SKEPTA - CANCELLED!!!
I am saying this now, its absolutely a crime this song is not talked about at this moment!
So wholesome when Jon starts vibing😂😂
So underrated!! 💜
Old JID verse but it’s the exact same! My man SPAZZES
When the song is so good you don't know what to do with yourself. Loved this
Crazy how everyone is reacting to this song now like it’s new but I’ve Been listened to Bruuh, that shit alone was fire and he didn’t switch it up in the remix, cause he didn’t have to.
Right
Here come the bandwagon jid fans after this next album know what I mean? People still prolly haven’t heard Para Tu or even know who Spillage Village is
@@WattssyMw Wouldn’t you want people to listen to his music and that he is more successful? Unless your under 20, cuz that’s a thing that younger ppl use to feel cool or unique and hopefully ppl grow out of it. I know when I was a kid I used to get annoyed if the underground band/person I liked started getting famous. But after about 20 I think it’s immature.
@@rubyrayne8 nah I do I just thought it was funny how people didn’t know his bruuh verse was 3 years old
I’m ngl, if any other artist had Denzels verse, people would probably call it trash😬😂 the flow and energy is great but I’m not gonna lie, he was saying some gibberish
I don't think we heard the same song. Zel was just going for technique. It don't have to be lyrical poetry. He had some good bars too, Jon even mentioned them. The only person who sounds as good on a song as Zel is JID.
@@WalkingPaceWP He isnt saying its bad, its just denzel has such a unique energy and flow that you dont focus on the lyrics, but if any other artist had the same lyrics it would be called trash because they wouldnt bring the same energy and flow as denzel, cos its unique.
He was kinda mimicking JID’s flow and just messing about a bit, no one is matching JID’s flow and rhyme scene on this song
Denzel never been a lyricist, he NEVER says much of anything on tracks
@@dadorage1695 damn sounds like you've never listened to his music cool opinion

Denzel kills his verse omg. the bounce!
i got a cramp in my neck because i stank faced so hard while listening to this song
I'm so glad this song is on streaming services now haha it's too good, plus with Denzels verse on it makes it even better
JID even had to re record this shit
React to Vic Mensa and Chance the rappers song Shelter
undefeated.
Ayyyyye. I've been lowkey waiting for your reaction to this. I'm surprised most haven't heard the original version of this without Denzel but it's still good to see J.I.D get the credit he deserves. Keep doing your thing.
Edit: 🙏🏼☮️❤️
First time seeing your video and I absolutely loved how you caught so many bars, and appreciated them and even explained them... I subed!!!
Please listen to the Beast Coast Album... its Flatbush Zombies, Underachievers, ProEra, and Joey Bada$$ U would love it
Denzel 🐐. Not even close.JID has some amazing verses but overall no one comes close to Curry in last 6-7 years.
“So testy, I feel Dizzy Gilesspie” what a nuts bar, Dizzy Gilesspie a famous test cricket bowler! JID out here with the cricket barrrs?!?
Bro I did look it up, but testy has nothing to with jazz does it? The whole point of wordplay in rap is that one word or phrase can mean two things. But cheers for condescending me and gatekeeping 😁
@@dillon321 not gatekeeping, you wrote the lyrics wrong and I overlooked the testy part in my ignorance. I will delete my former comment since you are right. I missed the triple entrendre, thought it was only a double.
Still doesn't seem right to me to classify it as a "cricket bar", ignoring the actual Dizzy Gillepsie that inspired JID. It ties in with the next part of the line but I guess you don't care or don't know. Cheers
Not sure it's a cricket bar just because you don't hear them in US rap but it makes more sense
Dizzy Gillespie was an American jazz trumpeter
@@TD-dj9ep We understand that but how was he testy?
