The YF-23,, I always thought was ''way'' better than the 22,, in ''many'' aspects,, including, looks, performance,, & aerodynamics ..
Think the cost factor in building & overall maintaining,, was less than the 22 as well,, & also fuel consumption.
I also was watching both of these Planes,, when they competed for the contract,, & ''of course'',, was rooting for the YF-23 ..
Damn shame though, that politics was the deciding factor in the 22 winning,, which never set well with me,, even today. ..

I too h*te politics, because as you said, they matter more than what's actually better 😕 and heck yeah! The YF-23 looks much better, like alien technology almost 🧐🤭
