My view is that we have an interview panel of citizens taken from the election register. Then they chose who gets their name put on the ballot paper and not the political parties deciding. I don't know if you are aware of this process that the political parties just nominates no one challenges them. This is how we get the poor quality from all the parties. We should have a second ballot paper for us to chose the pm and ministers instead of their mates choosing them. So write to your mp they will not like you saying that and pay attention to you in the future I know I have done this in my past.

Yeah this is roughly my take on it. If I was a cabinet minister I'd probably see if I could avoid the embarrassment of sitting in a speed awareness group and go 1:1. Personally I want the Tories out but getting hysterical about such things just looks daft. There's enough genuine failure to shine the spotlight on

It’s a shame Angela Rayner doesn’t spend as much time on her own constituency as she is doing on minor issues such as this. Both major parties should sort themselves out as both groups appear to the population and the world as bickering, nitpicking children in the school yard. I'm not so sure about Rachel Reeves, but I doubt the daughter of two teachers is likely to have an issue with the public sector. She sounds like she'll be tough on those out of work and oppose open door immigration, but I suspect that will be popular with the general public
