This game was so good, I loved playing the dynasty mode made up teams of guys like Ichiro, Pujols, Big Papi, Sheffield, Beltran, Beltre, and other beasts back then
I quit the Show months ago and started a franchise in this. It's not that out there that modes were more fleshed out back then when you think about it...the modes were all that would sell the game...there were no microtransactions...if your modes sucked...people would not buy again. Nowadays people don't care if Franchise hasn't been touched in a millenium because...OMG SHINIES!!!!!! (for a fee, of course).
I'm not saying if EA was to make a baseball game today that it would be better than the Show...it would be plagued with microtransactions too...
It's only missing mascots lol but this game was beast I think even real managers and pitching coaches in it to
NHL allows you to customize stadiums in expansion franchise.

It still has the best Owner mode/Franchise mode of any baseball game STILL!! I don't think the outfield fielding is as good as as newer baseball games. Other people may differ. It's good but not great imo. Tried playing this last month and still had fun pitching!
On my lazy days..and there were a lot of them..I absolutely loved just pouring hours into managing a game. Especially since I traded my favorite pitchers onto my team. And if a game was still close or I was behind in the 8th, I’d jump right in. I’d like to think of it as me playing Diamond Dynasty and it’s Moments before they were even a thing haha
I would play this game and spend more time on the menus just for the badass soundtrack
God I used to grind the fuck out of this game

Once you unlock a legend he will show up as a FA. Just select no on "Default Rosters". If you get them all unlocked I suggest using fantasy draft

this is what I used to do in this game, first a draft and picked all cheap players, sign them for maybe 3, 4 o 5 and around 500k a year, then I will change all their attributes, I made them on between 80 to 90 players and in 4 o 5 years I would to the same with the new players after 10 years or maybe I would the stadium with 60000 capacity, around 500 million in the bank, with I guarantee you will won almost every world series and then you can start signing players with big money, personally I created myself as a pitcher, all 99 and sign myself to a 4 years deal and 25 million a year, and created another me but center fielder, all 99 and again sign him for a 4 year deal and 25 million a year, in this game it can be only up to 7 years deal and 26.4 million dollar a year, by the way, it is the best baseball game ever, 2004 was good too but this one is much better, better than the show
