They sure are! Those links you sent are dynamite! I'm going to watch them soon as I have some time to sit down and digest. They are exactly what I was looking for.
Glad I stumbled across your videos. I have some beavers giving me a fit in our ponds. Damming up my spillway nightly. Decided I should learn to trap them. We shall see how it goes. You have some very good information
Your my favorite ! Thank you for the great quality videos and all the information . most important thanks for being a gentleman .that is very important for public views on hunting and especially trapping .good luck with the drought !
Todd Wittenmyer I'll be doing a full video on them soon. was just watching your turtle vid and reading the comments. I get the same animal loving idiots over here as well. lol. Take it easy buddy.
Great joob sir. Crazy how the video froze at around 1 min 20. Thank you for sharing and all tHe best to you and to your family!!! By the way great beautiful message that you put at that moment entering the foggy morning...
Bet your thankful for that boat trailer especially when loaded down with beaver. Hauling a small boat out of a pickup bed can be very difficult especially after a long day on the water. Nice work.
Great video! I enjoy all of your trapping vids. I do have a couple of legal questions though. I understand you are in Alabama so I assume that's where you're trapping. I also am in Alabama and trap beaver and otters. Alabama state law requires that a snare or body grip trap must be ''in water'' and I noticed that some of your 330 sets are in trails above the water also required by state law is having written permission from landowners. Is that required when trapping in a river system? Anyway TIA for answering my questions and tight chains!
good job!here on the cross river I noticed that they were eating small cedar trees so that's what I baited with and got 4nice ones!what's up with the cedar?I enjoy ur vids
It can if the weather gets warm. I use conibears only when the weather is cold, and I also try to make sure the beaver rolls into the water after being caught so the animal cools down faster.
Good catch, when watching you walk through the mud carrying that big Beaver, I realized I can't carry something that big more than a few feet with my fake knee. So I figure if I have to move it to the canoe or Kayak I will tie a length of parracord on it, go back to the boat and drag it to me after I am seated in the boat. I have a cart with big bike wheels for land trapping or carrying my climbing deer stand with me to the tree. I have figured that I can do everything I use to do, but I have to use wheels at my age. Don't ever think about getting too old to do something, think about what changes you need to make in order to keep doing it.
hey meat trapper got another recipe for you fried beaver ribs. just hack the ribs off trim execs fat and leave the belly connected. I bleed all my beaver in ice but take it and fry them. promise you'll enjoy.
Hey buddy! I will give that a try - I have been using the ribs in making soup stock and broth - but fried sounds great as well. Hope you are having a good year!
The Meat Trapper i did decent considering I only traps a week this year.gana wait for some colder weather its in the 70s over here in Louisiana. yet, I did get my biggest beaver that week 83 lbs.
Do you ever shoot ducks on those mornings on the river? I always take a shotgun with me and have my license with me just for shooting ducks on wing while I run traps. If I’m running inna place I’ve got permission I carry my rifle and shoot deer out there as well.
Really like this specific opening intro.
Literally, a "boat load". And some monsters in there too. Nice job Meat Trapper.
man what a nice day out! now all kinds of beaver meat dishes in the kitchen! looks so fun! liked!
I've got a lot to learn. Nice catch!
The Wooded Beardsman Thanks buddy. Those beaver pelts up your way are worth some money!
They sure are! Those links you sent are dynamite! I'm going to watch them soon as I have some time to sit down and digest. They are exactly what I was looking for.
I love beaver floats with a touch of castor a 330 and a 280 and catch em 2 at a time.
Great catch! I dig that you're taking the livers and hearts. I've started keeping the livers, hearts and kidneys of rabbits and squirrels.
John Barnett Yep, Ive come to like the liver more than the meat.

Steve Staggs I know, crazy huh? Who would think cedar is a preferred food!?
does being in the conibears overnight ever cause the meat to spoil?

Parrot Bill Good thinking! You've got me thinking about mounting a small boat trailer winch on the boat and cranking them over the mud to the boat.
The Meat Trapper
There you go, where there is a will, there is a way.
Excellent Video! Crystal clear camera. What camera do you use?
I use my cellphone camera. It's a Samsung Galaxy S6.
Absolutely beautiful swamp. Would love duck hunting it !!!
SUPER!!!
When you going to get a drone? Seriously...
Caster mound
