Yes! That’s what I keep telling my husband! But he keeps telling me No 😮. We are less than 7 hours from there and finally going to plan a road trip soon, I can’t wait! Plus will also take a side trip from there to visit the Museum of the Bible in DC as well. I’ve heard it’s amazing.

@@Juan0481 LOL! We actually moved from Long Island to NC 5 years ago…never looked back! Best decision. We also looked at a few areas in DE, VA, and NC, but ended up in southeastern NC. But I have not found a local church or pastor as wonderful as what you have at Cornerstone Chapel. So I go in person locally and watch here online as well for the in depth teaching.
The lack of discipline by David is very valuable. I love your Bible studies!

I listen to audiobooks books sometimes. I’ve been listening to “the Heart of a King” by Jill Eileen Smith. I’ve finished her one on Bathsheba, this second one is about Solomon. These novels make you feel you are there and that these were very real people. I enjoy them. Angela Hunt has some too, I’ve read her Bathsheba. They follow along the Biblical accounts pretty well. Just putting that out there if anyone is interested.

I don't understand why Nathan would want Elijah to have the throne when the Lord said Solomon should become king. Nathan the prophet is a messenger of God so shouldn't his support have been for Solomon?

Because it was not Bathsheba who committed adultery it was David as king she had no say. Therefore God gave her justice and honour by giving the Crown to Solomon their son. He married her and made her legit. Hence doing right in God's sight. Remember, Solomon had the genes of his mother who would and could have been a humble devotee to God and lived in the fear of God.
I wonder why the church is dark, can the congregation see the bible?
Maybe David just accepted his sons evil ways because God had said the sword would never leave his family...
