@@Shorts_tube777 For a GM, it's relatively easy to realize that the endgame is advantageous (even I, just an NM, could see it). But knowing that brilliant final blow was truly surprising.
True, those games with shorter time controls reduce accuracy, but I find it cool to see the skill of these grandmasters in dealing with it. For example, Kasparov's intuition in playing h6!! and Kb6!! was incredible.
Magnus, is a very pragmatic player, notice how he exchanges one advantage for another. Q4 was a important square throughout the game, first for the Knight and then the King.
The tournament used the Armageddon system, where one player has less time to secure a win, while the other only needs to draw. This dynamic creates unique pressure and makes the games even more exciting!
Bobby Fisher is the greatest and Spassky would be number 2. These guys played with out computer help. They studied hard and long. Practice was on hard boards of various types. It makes me sick that anyone says that these modern chess players like Carlson are better than fisher. No way! No How. Take the computer away from modern chess masters and make them study their opponents to old fashion way and then see where they come out.
Flawed argument. They are better because they learned from those before them and technologies have developed. Just like any sport, business, war etc. Only time I can think when an older generation was better was during the medevil times when drawing skill went backwards.

Good strategic endgame play by GM Magnus Carlsen. 🎉😊
Pragg's face at the end saying "why is this guy so good?"

Parece aburrido Carlsen, como si no existieran sorpresas para él.

I miss the longer time controls I felt it lead to more accurate chess and sharper games.

Honestly mind boggling
Yes, that endgame was incredible for me. I thought it was a draw, and suddenly... Nxf7!!
Магнус навсегда останется гением эндшпиля. Красивейшая игра
Instead of going dynamic he simplified to a favorable endgame.

What happened at last 😂
Pragg resigned because he was in a losing position.
Time win?
Pragg resigned. There is no way to avoid the promotion of the pawn.
Magnus!!!
2 grandi campioni!

this game should go in the books
At 10:36 why praggnna did not take the knight with e6 ??
if fxe6 then Qxb6 Rxb6 and Rxc7. And if Qxe6, Rxc7.
