@@georgiadyer665 idk if this was so much about Mark wanting to get back at Derek as it was about Mark wanting to get over Addison... you can kind of see his thought process, as if he thought of Meredith as the after-Addison pill
I've watched this plenty of times but I've only just noticed one thing. This is Merediths first time working with Mark and she gets to help and gets to scrub in on one of his surgeries. Alex only ever got told to run to get his dry cleaning or lunch.

She could literally stop hormones and then just get the surgery and also get breast implants. Laser hair removal for the face and where ever else. It’s not that crazy
I mean she could have still had re assignment surgery and tried her best to live as a women without the hormones. They didn't have to start treating her like a guy just because she can't live whilst taking female hormones
Its sad that sometimes we ignore the feeling the spouses/significant others when their loved ones come out as Trans. Its painful to find out youve been lied to by the one you love. Yes they were suffering hiding who they were but they betrayed a trust from their sc by keeping a secret like that. Sometimes we ignore the pain of sc for the pain of the transitioned person is grant but that doesnt make it more significant than anyone elses pain.
Lie to? Do you know how hard it is for us to figure it out for ourselves and also do you realize how dangerous it is for us to eventually come out. We are killed everyday for who we are, our families disown us, our “friends” abandon us. It wasn’t some secret we kept from people if we didn’t realize either. Like I thought it was totally normal to have full meltdowns whenever I was forced to wear a dress/blouse. I thought it was normal to wear T-shirts only in unisex and a size up because it hid my figure and chest, I thought it was normal to only ever identify with the male characters in shows, I thought I was just a tomboy. It’s not this simple black and white thing. The only reason I realized by 15 that I’m not a girl was when I realized that I was way more comfortable being considered by masculine names and terminology. Also by transitioning we’re not becoming a completely different person, we’re just showing our inner self and expressing it on the outside so people can finally see it. So i don’t get how anyone is being betrayed or anything. It’s fine if the S.O isn’t sexually/romantically attracted to them because their sexuality doesn’t align with their S.O’s gender identity but we are not betraying anyone’s trust because we just didn’t fucking know until afterwards
@@alexanderthegreat101 ok but the think about her viewpoint though, it’s nice that she came out as trans but her wife has every right to feel this way because when it comes to marriage it comes with a pact featuring commitment and HONESTY. Idk. Can't they still do the surgery? Also, her breasts wouldn't shrink that much... She can still live as a woman even without the hormones. Or if the body needs hormones and estrogen is killing her give her testo after the surgery....
She can still have the surgery but without the hormones , she would just be a man pretending to be a woman . She wants to be a real woman . Without the hormones, facial hair will grow , voice will drop, her new clitoris can potentially turn into a penis , a small one but still a penis . Testosterone can also affect personality as well .
People can transition how far they want to. Trans people can live without hormones because they’re still trans. If Donna stopped taking hormones she would still be Donna. She may have to shave her face more or maybe could go on hormone blockers

I think it was the wife (ex-wife's?) way of trying to get Donna to realize that if she wasn't going to die she was going to have to see herself as Daniel
It's not exactly easy for her to have her husband suddenly tell her she's a woman and then to make a decision that could force her wife to watch her die either, there's not just one side to the story. And she did come back, twice, that's more than what most people would have done
@@ekstadropsen Exactly. How else were they supposed to handle it? They are doctors trying to save a life and they gave her two options: stay as a woman and die or transition back to a man and live. Donna's wife did a lot more than what I and many others would have done.
Strange to picture Mark and Meredith as a couple, but at the end of this clip you really get the feeling that he could understand her
I mean for some reason he had a soft spot for Grey's

In fact for trans women I think estrogen don't help that much with the voice, they need to practice.
