The bridge between pipes is bigger on the “raptor” intake. Is it WORTH the big price bump? I have the same setup but the “ reg f150” model ON a gen 2 raptor. At the time of my purchase, that product “fit my vehicle” I recently purchased the scorcher and wanna kno if the minimal larger diameter on the “raptor intake” is worth it or would I be fine
You could run it open, but you'd have more dirt and hotter air sooner. Basically have to clean it more depending on your climate. The box does help with pulling more cold air from the factory routing.
From my understanding the open box has a rubber gasket you attach to the lip of the box that seals against the hood when you close the hood. Doesn’t this effective provide the same result as the closed box version? Your Setup looks great just seeing what you opinion is with the gasket hood seal vs closed box
What was your final decision on getting oiled filters or non-oiled
