One thing I read under other comments of this episode, the princess could have resurrected him in a better state, but she chose not to, she chose to leave him in the most miserable state possible so that she could heal him and have him for herself , The poisoned food that shw mentioned was for the children of the orphanage that you have seen previously in the episodes , The singing scene in the light novel is not there but the author really liked the choice of the addition
I could have sworn the novels mentioned her singing, but never elaborated. Did they really not talk about it at all?
Renner mentioned she was so happy she could even sing about it. but not, she didnt
She didn’t use a more advanced resurrection because she wanted him weaker so she could tend to him herself
The singing scene is the visual medium ideal of "show, don't tell". In written medium, like the light novel, it makes sense to describe how happy she is with words. That's what writing is all about. Words. In a visual medium like anime, though, instead of her saying "I'm so happy I could sing and burst into a dance any moment now" you can just show her doing exactly that. And they did.
It's the logical result of competence of the people who made the anime.

This was a fantastic yet incredibly dark ending to Season 4. One detail that was overlooked was the scary silence as Climb ran around with the treasures to hide them. This was hinting that at this point Mare had already murdered everyone in their homes so there was nobody left to scream for their lives. That and that it was noted earlier that some of them committed suicide. Truly a dark yet fitting end for the corrupt Kingdom

If we’re being honest the only reason he’s alive is renner he would have been killed many times over if the nazarick forces didn’t have orders to not touch him and he’s resurrection is also because of renner too so u could say renner being in love with his albeit twisted was his plot armor
Yeah, he was completely safe...and screwed at the same time, best plot armor ever if you ask me.
The "item"was the demon summoning statue from end of Season 2 - the one Jaldabaoth was "after"
I thought John would have picked Cocytus, but both simping for Albedo totally understood. When Ains was leaving Nazarick he told Albedo it was to go play his role as a villain, here he gets to give his villain speech.23:00 now you get to see just how far back Renner's betrayal started. The author states he'll finish with volume 18 so there will be four volumes of material to draw from for a final anime season, volume 16 just got translated so the LN readers are still in the dark as well as the anime viewers so welcome to the waiting room. now then, there were 3 hints as to renners transformation. 1- she could wield a sword larger then herself without effort, 2- she could run with said sword and lastlly the Frost maiden greeting Climb as the last human in the castle.
For the sword, it could be her special class, not the transformation
her spacial class is not phisical, she cant lift an item that waights more then her. also the way she was swinging it aeound it looked like she was testing her own strenght. she wouldnt do so if she always was this strong@@andreanecchi5930
Yeah, her special class is called "genius" or something like that. She can exchange her 5 levels in "genius" to any other class she desires.
I think she turned shortly after Climb died.

I cant believe ive been here for the entire reaction of the anime, overlord is my favorite anime, im glad i got to experience it with you guys!
The only issue with this finale is that it cut what actually happened to Phillip from the episode. What wasn't shown is Phillip was dragged by his ear to the outside to see that Albedo had every single person in his domain executed. she had them impaled from their butt all the way to their mouth creating a forest of death. Nobody was spared. Every man women and child were impaled. After this Albedo tells him she considered having the villagers execute him but thought it was too boring and brought him to Nazarick for eternal torturing and experimentation
It was so gorey that it couldnt even be censored. That is the only logical reason philips fate was entirely cut out.
@juups86 Eh idk about that I think they could've found a way around that to show Phillip's fate and find some way to censor just enough so that it could be allowed to be aired 😂
Every character in Nazarick has a combat specialty:
In Mare's case, as a dps druid he has the best aoe damage, which makes him the perfect choice for just bulldozing an entire city.
And fun fact Aura is a beast tamer, who despite her low personal damage, can keep enemies at bay by sending out a lot of angy monsters and let Mare freely fire at his enemies. That's why a lot of raids against the tomb ended on the sixth floor, back in Yggrasil days.
No need to worries. As far as i know Overlord is their gold son from the anime Studio called Madhouse. The profit from Overlord is just high, the LN only when the new volume release it always at the top 10 chart most sold LN in Japan. So they will make this anime until the end.
The thing that season 5 still unconfirm is because the material from Light Novel/LN is not enough.
So not because they don't want make another season it just the source material not enough for make the season 5.
And the movie will fill the volume that been skipped in this season 4. Volume 12&13. After eps 7 this volume 12&13 suppose to be happen but since this volume story' just works like standalone and doesn't make sense if just put on the season 4 because their arc mostly around the kingdom.
And if you want to watch any other Overlord you can still watch Pleplepleaides, this is short content from Overlord with comedic way too show you way more personality to the battle Maids and the guardian floor (also other npc).
I think i already said it before. But there's a collab with 4 isekai anime which is Overlord be the one of it. Is called Isekai Quartet. To watch this show you need to watch big 4 isekai first.

Also if you want to watch series like Overlord there's two in my mind that could be inspired by Overlord.
The first one is The Cautious Hero. By the name of it you know why it's inspired by Overlord. Yes since Ainz character is Soo Cautious.
The second is The Eminence in Shadow. This is Overlord but way more comedic. Tho comedic not in a bad way, you will still enjoy the story'. But the premise and the execution more on comedic way.
Also you can react cut content from Overlord. There's a lot of them on UA-cam. But sadly idk which one the best channel for it. I just know one channel from my country which is not in English language.

That was a sacrifice for the box that allowed her to become a demon...
Okay as I said in a previous episode here is what I heard about what the box actually is. From my understanding the box is called seed of the fallen and in order to activate it you need to get a karma of -150 to -200. And in the previous episode when she fed the orphanage and encouraged the ladies that were running the orphanage to eat she was actually poisoning and killing every single one of them and as you heard in this episode she was mostly the person who planned the destruction of her own kingdom.
Well, it was that or die with her kingdom. Even without her plan, they would have no problem destroying the kingdom.
Plus, the original plan was that of a civil war to then absorb the kingdom in a pacific way. Phillip is the one to blame here xd
Season 4 covers volume 10, 11 and 14 the movie will cover vol 12-13 and they happen before 14

did they ever do it?
Normal revival drops a persons level by 5, thus they experience a state of weakness for some time afterwards.
If a being is revived whose level is 5 or lower they will simply turn to ash.
The movie will explain certain things that weren't covered in this volume (the Holy Roble Kingdom arc).
My personal guess would be that there'll be one final season after this, considering what is still left of the Light Novel (which is said to end after the next ~2 volumes). So unless the author changed his mind about that (or makes each volume 800 pages) we'll probably have enough content for only one last season.
If we go by past announcements they'll probably make an announcement when the final volumes drop.

the Eight Greed Kings - previous players that got sent to the New World (that are now dead) - actually founded a capital that still stands till today! Eryuentiu is a city founded by the Eight Greed Kings, located in the middle of the of the desert far to the south of the Theocracy. Apparently all Katanas (a creation of them Greeds) are manufactured there. Unglaus also got his katana there

From the way Ainz spoke his last words, I could tell he wasn't satisfied. I felt a sense of futility and emptiness. Is it my misunderstanding or does it mean something?
I think you've started watching Saga of Tanya the Evil. If you don't mind other requests, my request is Uncle from another world (Isekai Ojisan).
From what I've read, the author does not intend to tidy up all lose ends when he stops writing, leaving some things open. You could almost view the series as an epic setup for a fantasy roleplaying campaign, establishing the evil kingdom that's taking over the world (or has taken over the world).

Basically the movie takes place before the destruction of this kingdom. The movie takes place right after the Dwarven arc. The is the SlaneTheocracy and The Holy Kingdom. The Holy Kingdom is what the movie is about. There will definitely be a fifth season eventually, the novels are still going.
The movie will adapt the arc that the anime skipped, the Holy Kingdom arc. On the other hand, a season 5 in the best of cases would take at least another 4 years to be released since there is not enough material to adapt it yet.😑
Also, a funny detail that the anime does not explicitly show is that the guardians had to experiment several creative tactics to guarantee the complete annihilation of all the inhabitants of the kingdom, which is why Mare is so worried at the beginning, since he feels that his results are not so good because his earthquakes leave a lot of survivors. Poor boy 🥲

- That's true, but he did say that he can't beat him alone after his fight with Pandora's Actor...
His armor was already running out of HP by the end of the fight and he didn't even damage PA...
PA stopped the fight, but he was still able to continue and Platinum Dragon Lord was no closer to dealing significant damage than he was at the start of the fight...
Side Note: Remember the Orphanage she setted up? She used all of those kids as a sacrifice ritual for the Black Box she received from Albedo that allowed her to be an Immortal Imp or demon of sort, so that she can be with climb for all eternity as her sex slave or "Happiness" as she puts it. As long as that is maintained she doesn't plan on doing anything against Ainz and is loyal to the tea as long as her dream is kept forever.

The movie happens between episodes 7 and 8 of this season that just concluded. If They cram it, there's just enough for season 5 but the volumes aren't all out yet. If they adapt more, they MAY have a season 6 but given "the end begins", I would think they're going to do the first.
Once the movie comes out, the series will be completely caught up with the light novel with the exception of volume 15 and 16. Season 5 might not happen any time soon since the author has said he plans on ending the series on volume 18, so the studio might wait for the series to be complete to wrap everything up in one season.

The Black Sword was something he found in the Dwarvern Treasury, allowing anyone regardless of class to use it. Though it's a level 50 item so useless for a level 100 player. Climb managed to take a tier 9 Spell that was the favorite of Ainz like a champ.

Movie will cover volumes 12 and 13, and according to some Madhouse interview, it should come out next year.
As of now, there are volumes 15 and 16 that came out last year, and the author said that Overlord will end on volume 18. So far, the publishing schedule was 1 volume per year on average. We had to wait 1.5 years for 15 and 16, but they came out within one month from each other, and the author said that he plans to release volumes 17 and 18 in similar proximity. Taking all this into account, we can expect the last two volumes and the movie to be released next year. Which means that season 5 will be released at the earliest in 2025.
All the more reason to read the light novels :)

About future releases without spoiling anything, the movie is covering content that happened at a different place in the middle of this season and was mentioned a few times in the season. The lightnovel doesnt have enough content for a 5th season rn and sadly the writer has voiced multiple times his lack of motivation when writing overlord which leads him to just rushing to end the story
If you wanna see a relax, fun and overpower anime there a lot like farming in another world or kuma kuma bear

Renner got totally screwed over by ainz as he was never a part of her plan, he just inserted himself as the villain. Her relationship with albedo became MUCH more hostile because she was angry ainz got pulled into renner's plan by playing the villain to climb in the throne room. By having ainz do that now she has an impossibly large debt to pay to him in albedo's eyes. She will never be free again and worked to the bone.
I thought you guys were gonna pick one card of Ainz or Sebas, but Albedo was always a high contender 😂

The orb on ainz is probably the strongest thing on his body. Contrary to what Climb believed, Ainz did not use magic on him instead Ainz used a skill from his class.
No, Ainz literally used GRASP HEART. After his death he was resurrected in a state that Renner preferred so that she can have her fun.
Well ofc the orb is world class item and destroying that wont kill ainz but well climb is trying😂
