for non Tamil speakers Balleilakka ( no meaning), is a Movie song about village life in one of the southern states of India, Tamil Nadu, where the singer sings about a scene in that movie where the actor Rajnikanth visits a village to pick a wife so the song is roughly translated as thus, " who is he? a Pandya king? a chera king?, a chola king? a sun/ a moon? who is he? reveal me now " then "lets go to a village in districts of madras or, salem or madurai or tiruchy, or thirutani the beauty of the cauvery river, playing kabadi game, natives with handle bar mustache, mud path, huts , spicy country chicken curry dish and unpolished red rice, damsels with plaited hair and traditional saris, casual flirts with maidens, Oh How can I forget the beauty of a country (Tamil village) life ?" ... the grrrr, durrr sound etc are not tamil, its just like saying wwwwwwwwhat a bbbbbbeauty etc..
No. Tamil language is the best. . the tamil words, the way how its arranged in this song convey emotions, its called IRATTAI KILAVI & ADUKKU THODAR in Tamil grammar which is 2300 years old atleast which the tamils follow even today. its so poetic and cute the way words are arranged to convey the meaning. in olden days, kings would heavily shower them with riches for such kind of poetic mastery over the language. so artistic

Wow.....Goose bumps.... On behalf of Durham Tamil Association in Ontario, HATS OFF TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU FOR SINGING SUCH A TOUGH TAMIL SONG.... Pronunciation may not be perfect, but you guys made us all feel proud about of you ...GOD BLESS A.R.Rahman.
please think about cultures coming together thru music. please do not think about this as an accomplishment by a single individual such as rahman... the choir is singing in tamil because they support tamils. not because of a single individual person..I hope you understand this. I am not criticizing you btw.
andrer2006 It is the music that make them sing not about language. If so for language purpose why'd they tamil why not kannada or telugu? If its not about composer then why not about illayaraja or someother music director's tune. All about composition of A.R.Rahman.
Tamizhan themselves will be super afraid to sing this song due to ita tongue twisting words and fast paced tune but the foreigners are doing it so effortlessly and the words are actually pronounced well enough. Goosebump evoking performances ( all foreign choir versions of this Amazing Tamil song).
Man! This song is everywhere.

Every Tamil should watch that video. The tongue twisters were very difficult even for the native speakers, Hats off. Loved it.
Aravind Rajasekar Thangamani yeah ... all credits goes to the great na . muthukumar for lyrics & the legend AR rahman for music ...
