When you can re-snatch 170 kilos without taking your hands off the bar immediately after a failed attempt...you know that you are simply...a badass (and to add insult to injury, whilst off-season...damn!)
@@RecExistance11 you can still take your hands off. The straps only stay tight if you have Good grip but if you let go also the straps will let go. Just like when he drops the bar
I also thought like you. I was waiting for him during every lower BW category in 2012 London' s Olympics, but he didn' t show up (of course we both now why). From this time he is only showman for me.
@@lukarancini1630 As far I know, because of a kind of "Russian team drug gate", escalated to a ban for whole team. As I remember, in lower categories, the Russians was yet there.
You do realise he's on a lot of steroids right. He would never have achieved this without jabbing his ass full of oil. Just stating facts and giving you delusional ppl a reality check 👍
Okay. If you really want to nit pick, then technically it might not be a "power" snatch. But it's still pretty fucking impressive whatever you want to call it.
Great lift, but not a power snatch. A 180kg power snatch would be absolutely ridiculous. I have only managed to find one video of a guy legitimately power snatching 180kg and it's none other than Hossein Rezazadeh.
Awsome! But I thought he was going to power snatch it. Not even close to power. If he actually would have that would have been one of if not the most impressive lift I've seen him do.
It is pretty close to a power snatch. People use "power" more leniently because most people go down to their ankles for a full snatch. (Really low) I don't think I've ever heard someone call something like this a "squat snatch." It makes much more sense to say it for a clean, but not a snatch. And if you have seen Klokov snatch much, you will notice he goes as low as is possible. This is "power" for him as well as a lot of other people.
This guy has had this style of lifting for a very long time and has not had any crazy injury's to my knowledge. It's also definitely not grip and rip, it's a dynamic start, not the same thing as a grip and rip.

no doubt he is a badass, but you realize he can't take his hands off because of the straps right haha
Alex Roan With very little rest.

Immenselystrong
I love this man. He has inspired me to pursue olympic lifts

haha cant help but chuckle at 1:55 when he misses and re loads and gives that war cry... the guy means business and aint missing again.. I love it
So many of the individuals criticizing Mr. Klokov here have absolutely no idea who he is and what he has accomplished lol.
Peace, Billy
That was a nice sequence of snatches.
Doesn't even begin taking it seriously until 140.
Matt Williams I take it seriously at about 60, not far to go then 😂😂
I don't have to take it too seriously until 140...pounds lol

Nice!
Insane!
i wish i could clean pull 180.
I read it but it does not change what the definition of a power movement is. Subjectivity can not be applied to definitions.
The guys a beast!
Interesting to see the warm up
Then 180kg Now ?!
Damm respect for 180
His face at 1:47! Fucking MACHINE!!!
klokov Monterey Mexico
👍❤
That face :D
the powers lasted until 160
Красиво
Did his thighs go below parallel?
Can someone get me the song at 2:10
Tancy Minus "Tam za beloy rekoy"
its not fair
Not really a power snatch but when its Klokov it doesnt really matter lol what a beast

dude, in oly power means above the parallel
@@cainmillan9666 no it doesn't.
And klokov was way below parallel here anyway so I'm not sure what your argument is about
thats not power snatch but insane

Olympic Coaches are generally very lenient with what counts as power work. Or at least that is my experience.
Not a power snatch but not his typical snatch either, he didn't go that low.
The way he disrespects 100 x.x

Power movements are movements received above parallel.

dude just let the weight drop lol, no need to be polite in front of the camera, this is not LA fitness
Grip and rip. You’re an injury waiting to happen.
Is this a joke? This guy is one of the most famous weightlifters of all time and dynamic start is a standard safe way to start

So overrated
Quit juicin and screamin
Quit complaining and being jealous.
Aww, how cute he's wearing straps to help hold the weight.

Can you even pick up 180kg let alone toss the weight over your head?
