I like the demo Phil, Imagine the potatoes you could dig out of the garden with it. I think it could be of use to someone that doesn't have the money to spend $1000 for remote hydraulics and another $2500 for a grapple. 👍
I didnt think of the potato digging. I get that would work! I think annual garden cleanup or a lot of yard waste, it would be good for moving around that kind of stuff too. Thanks for watching
I WISH I had a grapple! I've been looking at these for exactly these two jobs, and it does look like these are a force multiplier for a small tractor. (Mine is slightly smaller than yours, it's a B9200 [a real man would never admit his is smaller, would he?]). It's not a year later yet, but how is it working out 6 weeks in?
Hi Phil - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I'm not qualified to critique this product as I'm not lucky enough to have a compact tractor. My only observation is that the yellow tips appear to be out of the line of sight from the seat due to the top side of the bucket, which may impinge operation. It is unfair to compare it to a grapple if the latter costs 10 times more.
Poor man’s grapple is exactly what I was thinking. Or this could be a good way to enhance an old tractor like mine for dealing with brush more conveniently. I hand load it in the bucket and up the loader arms. Something like this would help contain it, and possibly reduce hand loading in some cases. I’d like to see a shoe or something to distribute the pressure where the screws clamp to the bucket.
In watching videos for a bucket mount hitch before buying one, I found one from a guy (wish I could remember his name so I could give him credit) who made a brace. I've got some 1/4"x6" steel, I'm planning on welding a couple up.
I don't think you ever stated what the cost of those are? I'm trying to figure if one already has a set of pallet forks and a grapple, would there be a need/purpose for those? I'm not sure where we would use them on our farm. Just thinking out loud.
What is the distance between adjacent forks? Looks like it would work for moving firewood that is cut & split to 16" long. For about $300 looks like a good value
Anyone have trouble with them clamping down? Mine walk side to side as soon as I start clamping then it lifts up to where the rings on the bucket edge aren't even touching??
yes it would, but this can be had for a small fraction of the cost of a grapple, which might be more appealing to some tractor owners. Thanks for watching!

I have a set ordered but only have a 25 horse tractor. I'll see how it does with several wood piles

So... Still enjoying it? We have a little Kubota with a 46" bucket and we're looking for an attachment to use to "stir" the compost pile ..

I'm thinking these are probably more of a low-cost grapple alternative for most folks. They were pretty handy with turning the compost pile.

that's for a four foot bucket, how come you didn't get the bigger one to fit your bucket?
