@paingamepodcast , got your facts wrong there mate , Dana sold ufc after ufc 200, Conor fought Floyd in 2017 but I hear you the 2 fight left defo comes into play
There could be some merit to Conor's seemingly laclustre training. Max Holloway and Tony Ferguson went through periods where they didn't spar at all when they were (max still is) at the height of their careers.
There was a priest in Kenya from County Cork in Ireland who trained runners. They used to run at a very relaxed pace in training but always did well in competition. So much so that another guy came to him from a different part of Kenya to train with him. I forget the guy's name but he set either a world or Olympic record in the 800m on his way to the gold medal.
That said, I think SBG Ireland should've brought in Chad Mendes as a Chandler analogue for this camp. Chad would bring an intensity needed for such a high stakes fight, wanting to prove his worth against someone he felt he could've beaten at featherweight given a full camp and a rematch.
You can't compare a post fight press conference when Dana mentions McGregor v Chandler to a promotional event hyping the Mayweather fight, totally different situation. In fact, this was pretty much the only time Dana has screamed out a fighter's name like that, b.c he was McGregor's promoter for the Mayweather boxing match, a situation he's only ever been in once.
dana is the “promoter” of every ufc fighter
@@drewbishop9090 U don’t understand what he is saying. Nobody would ever shout like that at a post fight presser
@@Divockorigigoat doesn’t mean dana’s not the promoter, just means he isn’t being a good promoter.what sense does it make to announce your biggest star’s fight at a post fight presser anyway???

Everyone is fighting themselves. Who knows what you dealing with with right now?
A PRIME Conor McGregor would beat Micheal Chandler, similar to how featherweight McGregor beats Chad Mendes
Yup. But that's ancient history now - his last good win was Alvarez EIGHT YEARS ago.
Connor isn’t washed it’s just the game evolved he hasn’t
@someguy701 he is absolutely washed, he's flat footed, neglected kicks, his stamina is gone to pot, he's put on tonnes of muscle. He's slower, more fragile, softer. Doesn't have the same mindset because he's rich and he knows he's declined a lot.
145lb Connor beats everyone at that weight he was so fast and light on his feet at 145.
Kavanagh Parrot
he can always resort to eye pokes like Chris Eyedman if all fails
If he pulls that off they're gunna have to change the gloves again
One two eye poke is a legit combo now.
Exactly, Holloway did that
Dana looks like he was about to pop a blood vessel in his head introducing Conor lmao 😂

Chandler is going to come out the gates like a mad man & unless Connor catches him early he’s toast.

exactly dude
@@sharetruth9010 what you dont understand is that Conor doesnt need to fight, he has everything, he is only doing it because he wants it doesnt matter how many victories he has.
Atleast chandler doesnt have to wait anymore 🤣🤣
It seems like a bit of a plan. Keep Chandler waiting for as long as possible, Chandler be inactive so Connor might stand a better chance cause he’s been very inactive in recent years, Connor gets a better chance at beating him and then it’s a prestige fight for Conor to get him back on the map. Because Connor gets TKO’ed by anyone inside the top five right now in any weight division.

Great video Brian, buzzing for this fight should be interesting
I disagree. I think they was respecting UFC300 and at the same time casually releasing what everyone wants. Or what they think what everyone wants
I agree with you 💯. Dana knew that making the announcement during UFC300 (and the anticipated reaction) would totally overshadow and outshine everything/everyone else on the night, he was respecting his fighters by letting them have their own moment.
I want to see Conor vs Max 2
If Conor really has 2 fights left on his contract and decides to see it out, I could see the UFC feeding him to max in his last fight.

great vid again bri
your analysis videos are something else mate, great to watch
How do his farts smell
@@blank1611 smell alright u know mate
How are u comparing him announcing the fight at a post fight press conference to him announcing him at a weigh in/press conference Whatever it was. When do u see someone shout like that at a post fight presser?
Hey, thank you for the video. Will you make a video about Beterbiev vs Bivol?
If mcgregor loses only thing that would make a bit sense is a rematch
Chandler is not tiny for the weight class - cuts down from 185. He’s very stocky and strong . Height is not the only way of understanding weight classes
Even if his last fight against Max for the BMF.. it would be strange seeing him sign of with the BMF belt and never defending that one too
Geordie your analysis is bang on mate
give his hoop a lick while you're under there
Mcgreggor had an interview not long ago can’t remember who with and he mentioned how ufc hadn’t been in touch with him and he had no idea whe he was meant to be fighting and it was a huge interview he also basically said he wasn’t sure what he was doing after the 2 fights so maybe that’s why or maybe he just doesn’t have the trust from Dana anymore
Geordie did a good video covering that interview I'm pretty sure 👍
jfc yall are such casuals
He does not want to resign and this is his last fight on his contract thats why dana is pissed and had him out for as long as he can, waisting mcgregors prime years its a hate move
I totally agree with you fella i do really want to see it and do have more or less the same view as you on this situation nuff Respect E-TRON!
chandler is the easiest comeback fight he can have and even then I dont know if he will win , that says a lot
i mean mcgregor could fight some ranked 15 as a comeback fight
no matter how hard you train there is always an element missing and thats adrenaline.
Mcgregor is washed up

Listen, BET THE HOUSE on Chandler to win, Conor is a washed up drunk, he is finished
Agreed. I thought the same at Poirier 3 (which was 3 years ago) and won a pretty penny.
Nah the Irish are just built different man, he could pull it out of the bag
Excellent vid
Big Up Brian 💪💪🥊
The UFC is afraid that they can’t the announcement a secret if it is part of the PPV.
If Chandler beats him then i think Mcnugget only has one fight left on his contract and it will be against Dustin or Nate and then that will be him finished / unless by some miracle he beats Chandler then he will fight for the BMF or a title shot and then he will ride off into the sunset.
The fact this is at 170 makes it more winnable for Connor for sure
???
I disagree, ufc will still do anything for Conor. You compared two completely different situations mate
Would like to see you react to the matchroom vs Queensbury 5v5
Been a Conor fan since day 1. Yeah he’s had his ups and downs (recently mainly downs) if this is his last fight as much as Chandler is a nice guy and great dad and role model I hope Conor smokes him and rides off into the sunset.
I don't think the video tag is correct. He's already made it so if he loses and retires the next day you can't say the fight broke his career
“Conor relied on speed back in the day”…
Looking at previous interviews, I think he still does 😂
Seriously though - very interested to see where this one goes. You’re on the nail about his athleticism after such a long lay off and recovery.
You completely misinterpreted the Dana announcement
Last fight,he’s got 2 left on his contract

Yeah, that fake laugh
dana did the same introduction for ufc 300 main event, at a post fight press conference

Do these UFC fighters leave the hardware in the leg/ankle (pins & rods) when they go back fighting, or they get the removal surgery?
Bro, he could come back okay if he focuses on tight pack house head defence also. It's not that he needs to work on offence. I'd love him to look great, man he was and still holds that megastar, cheers bro from New Zealand 🎉
Interesting Paddy power are giving them BOTH 9/10 odds.
After so much sputtering buildup it is an afterthought compared to how spectacular 300 was.
Best fight channel by a mile
They can’t take the risk of doing a big song and show because they can’t guarantee he turns up and fights
McGregor has no interest in fighting Chandler.
Diaz, Poirier or even Max would be much more appealing, but he did TUF to stay 'relevant' so here we are.
Also it would be absolutely mental to go back in against Holloway or poirier for his first fight in 3 years after a leg break. Chandler is the only one that is realistically beatable, at least for a return fight.
Tony was great on the feet and had an endless stamina, but unfortunately his prime finished a long time ago.
100% well said !!
It’s not his final fight unless he hurts his leg again, he’ll still have 1 fight left on his contract and will probably go to do gimmick fights
Tony is a legend of this sport....
Yeah the before and after announcement of his fights is hilarious. 😂
Connor hasn't got the chin for Chandler, imo
Crazy he has a great chin never been really hurt aside from the khabib overhand and Dustin landing a lot of punches get him out of there and he still wasn’t out unconscious
@@someguy701in Conors defence he got dropped by that shot (By Khabib) but never looked particularly hurt and Dustin throws absolute STINGERS that could probably hurt genuine WWs.
@@RMILLSMMA he didn’t slip so he definitely got hurt but ended up clinching so he can recover
chandler doesnt have a chin either
@@someguy701when you say he was hurt are you saying he was close to being knocked out by it on a scale of 1-10 how “hurt” would you say he was? 10 is knocked out an 1 is getting a solid jab
I’d argue that Chandler has way more power than Dustin. Dustin walks just over 170, Chandler weighs 190 normally. No way could Dustin have more power when there is that much of a weight difference between him and Chandler.
Dustin said he used to walk around 180- 190 when he was a feather weight. There’s also more to power than just weight
Dustin doesn’t walk around 170 🤦
nate diaz walks round probably 190.. doesnt mean he punches harder than dustin
Dustin walks at 190 as well
lets wait if the fight even actually happens. i still doubt it
I'm not an athlete or a fighter. But I do wonder, with both Conor and with Ryan Garcia. Is a partying life-style really that detrimental to your performance as long as you get in camp in good time and reverse those habits? These guys are obviously performing at peak elite levels, but at their ages (20-35), is it really that important what you did with your body before a camp? The camp shapes you into the guy you'll be on the night, not your entire life before that. Or am I off by a mile?
History has given us endless examples of fighters (countless boxers) who deteriorated badly due to that lifestyle. Hardly a super scientific way to present an argument but there are just so many examples it would seem a bit ignorant to claim it doesn't have a serious impact.
It’s more telling about the athlete mentally than physically. If you’re partying 24/7 it means you’re comfortable with life and have no desire for discipline. If you turn that off completely for a few months to train for a fight how does the body mentally and physically deal with the withdrawals.
Conor is way too rich to be fighting at this point, that hunger is naturally gone.
I can see Chandler wrestling Conor for the first 1/2 rounds and then bullying conor till he quits/KO’d. Or Conor catches Chandler early in round 1 cause Chandler’s chin has been touched in every fight he’s been in the UFC.
bro love the video but your camera transitions are awkward AF
the biggest difference is if conor comes out aggressive like the dustin fights, or he goes back to his counter striking days, key difference in his fighting style which fucked him over
Personally I wish they announced it and gave him another 8 weeks on top to prepare and mindset, who knows he may get cut in camp 👀😆🙋🏻♂️
Are you going to the mcgregor fight?
Michael Chandler will brutally knock out Conor. Michael Chandler is a unique physical specimen.
True Georgie can not go one episode without stating that Conor McGregor called him out, he has to mention it, he loves it, he loves my comment saying it, it makes him feel good that Conor knowledged him, he makes out oh I don’t like him because he called me out, what he’s actually saying is guys Conor noticed me and called me out, he wouldn’t notice me when I was a fan and it made me angry so I turned on him and now I got noticed, but it is masked by him trying to make out he doesn’t like Conor cus of it, when really he’s announcing and celebrating it
Thanks for stating the obvious
Chandler did an interview & literally spilled everything. Training, game plan, what he expects & doesn't expect, etc. There's no way Conor is going to lose if he watches it or has watched it. & I don't mind Conor sparring like that in a training session. He doesn't give anything away. Why would you want to show that you still have it if you actually do? It would be a giveaway on how to beat him.
Co main event
K. Chimaev vs S. Rakhmonov
Do it dana
Why can’t Mcgregor just have a couple easy tune up fights before going against a top 5 guy? he’s setting himself up to fail by having 3 years of partying, a leg snap, then going back in against top level competition. I think it’s entirely reasonable if he went back in against a lower level guy and just see how high he can climb back up. Pro boxers often have easy tune up fights. Mcgregor should swallow his ego because starting low and building up is probably his best chance of climbing high again, not diving in at the deep end after being so inactive AND coming off losses
Between the leg injury 3 years ago and the partying that tank is on E.
Scalded by the kettle or what mr estrogen booooorrrnnnsss lookin thing you 😅
This man cannot speak 5 words without editing😂😂 I mean damn😂
Connor still relies on speed though 😂
"Who scolded you with a kettle"
Forever goated
Yo you clever af in all you say, how
The Blue print has been laid out. Chandler knows what's coming. Weather the storm. Move to the right Go for a take down as he will prob get it. Just get Conor into the second round and start working him. Chandler has been in wars. If he pace himself he will outlast Conor and will prob get a KO or force Conor to take him down so Chandler can then get a sub. One thing Chandler shouldn't do is get star eyed.
Of course it’s make or break for his fight career atleast, he will still be a successful human being in other ventures , but yes if he gets beat down by chandler, and that’s very possible, it will honestly be time to move on to other things
The best thing Conor can do when he returns is to completely avoid throwing low leg kicks, it was never really his style to begin with so he needs to just remove those entirely, it’s not worth getting hurt really bad again
He NEEDS to actually hit leg kicks, look how bad Nate was during the 2nd fight and Poirer would have been if not for the break
he needs that cringy movement coach back
Love you Gordie but just one to think about……..Tony was a savage on the feet
Conner might have a chance against other retired fighters but not active ones now... he not won against a solid oponent since 2016...
Weird take with the mayweather comparison.
In fairness, I don’t remember seeing cardio issues for Conor until he fought at 170lbs. I get that he’s too big to make lower weights these days, but it can’t be denied he was much better smaller.
It should be Conor vs Tony..we were supposed to get it years ago
Connor should do that if he loses to chandler, or as his last fight
The way true Geordie spoke about McGregor mid interview is the reason Dana is not getting excited about it.
Dana announced it like that because even he doesn’t believe it will happen
I believe Conor's odds are 50/50 his had a major leg injury and his spent hree years out of competition doing work on a movie. No one knows how much sparring he's been doing. Whether he's gonna have the necessary conditioning in time or the timing. He arguably has been doing coke, drinking and partying most weekends since that Poirer fight and that takes it out of the body. Chandler has been constantly in an out of competing and in out of fight camp, gaining valuable experience even though he lost his fair share he's treating himself better than Connor has been. Having said that, Connor does have the skills and power to get the job done. The thing is though mcgregor needs to not be as a stationary as he was in the Poirer fight. He needs to look for counter and not stand in the pocket. But dufe Chandler has the size and strength to take Connor easily he's one strongest lightweights in the division. Have you not seen how he easily manhandled Poirer and Gaejthe? He's definitely stronger than Connor by a mile. If Connor gets the job done it will be first ror second round k.o and will go similar to the Alvarez fight.
0:49 LOL
Did this guy just say Tony Ferguson was never good on the feet 💀
I wonder if Paddy Pimlett would beat McGregor 🤔
Also the fight anderson won was against brunson and anderson arguably lost that fight aswel
He beat nick diaz on a close decision post leg break
Is it just me that thinks everything about this fight screams a bribery is involved? If Chandler wins - basically no one cares outside of serious McGregor haters, the UFC’s biggest moneymaker will probably immediately retire, and that’s basically it. if McGregor wins - the UFC make an astronomical amount of money and then get to continue making astronomical money by immediately giving McGregor either the BMF fight with Holloway or straight into a title fight (which he doesn’t deserve, but we all know he’ll get). Both fighters are gonna go for the KO, it would be the easiest thing in the world to just say to Chandler “swing a few in the middle of the octagon, act a little tired, the second McGregor starts throwing act like he clipped you, back against the stage, then just let him finish you and you take home $XX Million”. I don’t think the UFC has rigged fights before, but if there was ever an occasion to do it, it’s when your cash cow is facing a situation of retirement vs continuing to bring in unprecedented revenue.
I thought this would never happen and they were silently retired
I'm not sure why you're calling Chandler small and questioning whether he has the size to bully McGregor with wrestling. Chandler is by far the strongest lightweight and one of the biggest lightweights when it comes to mass. Look at how easily he picked up Poirier and Gaejthe when he went for the takedowns. If Chandler does a heavy wrestling approach, he will def bully McGregor.
I don’t think the ufc would be happy about chandler making it a wrestling match. And make no mistake, Conor chose 170 against chandler for a reason. Because he’s small. I predict chandler looks slow compared to Conor. Chandler shouldn’t have agreed to 170
I think with conor, you can never write him off, i thought against dustin he looked sharp it was only a choke attempt that put him on the Canvas, if he is 100% focused he will win he just has that mindset.
Yeah I agree with you he still has the beast within him
If Conor loses i still see a possibility for him to fight diaz or maybe even masvidal
Isn’t it funny how McGregor has come public lately hinting that it’s the UFC that are holding him back and all of a sudden the fight is made… yet Dana still blames it all on Connor and his other activities that have held it up… we all know Connor has been ready to go for 12 months now!!
Do you just not understand how weight works chandlers not tiny for the weight class he’s short for it but he’s also very stocky for it and I’m pretty sure chandler bullied dustin before getting caught
Back then Connor was more reliable, now a days who knows what McGregor will do next? ...Will he actually fight June 29th???
