Perez has always been one of the most underrated dark horses in the UFC. Amazing fighter but hasnt really been in the spotlight, mostly because he had trouble showing up or he makes minor mistakes against the very best. If he continues to be active and puts everything together, he will be champion

Love the punch combos and aggression, but he'll have to dial it back if he wants to compete for a title. Pantoja would take him down real quick if he tries to string 4,5,6 strikes together like that.
@@theywouldnthavetocensormei9231 I think so many flyweights understimate the wrestling offence of Pantoja and Perez probably thought he could defend but Pantoja is a strong dude
@@daredevilofdallas seriously though, I think we should all step back and recognize how much better the classes under 155 have gotten in recent years, they used to be kind of a novelty, for a long time Mighty Mouse was one of the only legitimately world class fighters in that range. But we have so many super talented guys at 145, 135, and 125 right now, it's crazy. I'm not trying to hate on Alex Perez at all, he has lightning hands with serious horsepower, in another era in the UFC he would be the champ easily. There's just so much more stiff competition, he needs to add a few more tricks to his bag if he wants to be at the top.

Perez is a dog, he has some sick punching combos and puts constant pressure, it was a great performance. But I'm still skeptical if he can step up with the top of the top, his aggression leaves him vulnerable for level changes.
