Interesting podcast. You may be interested to know that Emily's original career goal was to be a character actress. She revealed that in a SAG-AFTRA career retrospective moderated by Perri Nemiroff. EB cited the Prada film as being very helpful in getting those parts. Her diversity of roles and genres has been intentional, since she doesn't wasn't to repeat or get typecast. I get the flaws in The Fall Guy, but I enjoyed it anyway. (I'm an older person who hasn't been an avid movie goer in recent decades. I do wonder if there's a generational divide in that movie's appeal.)

The big "what if" for me and Emily is that she was cast as Black Widow in the MCU but Fox (due to her deal to be in Prada) blocked the casting and forced her to be in another Fox movie instead.
