6:05 I hate that you can't really tell if a build is straight up unusable until you've wasted your time getting all the way to empowered. I had this experience with disintegrate
One thing I respect about you as a veteran is that you are always generous when balancing a build. You don't play "8 second Aberoth kill" builds and generally you make up well rounded builds that can push most LE content. So when you say "the numbers aren't there for this build", my guy, that tells me it's absolutely dead in the water. And we know why. Ciderstrike doesn't really know what it wants to be. Half utility skill as a buff attack (e.g. Amarathy's Decoy Bomber) half self sufficient attack. It's becoming obvious that the biggest impediment to build diversity is the age of most skills. Gotta wait up for the devs to modernize over half the Masteries to say 'Falconer' status.
I would still like to see a build planner just to see what ur using. Currently using Cinder Strike, but slightly different. I'm a Falconer though with that character. Going to find out if it falls off today more than likely.
It's really too bad. I tried unarmed melee cinder strike several months back because I wanted to do an unarmed alt and got the same results. Just not enough damage to get anywhere good.
The older rogue skills are beyond terrible. At least they made acid flask less bait in 1.0 (?). I feel forced to play either shadow daggers or falconer, but I want to play things like bow detonating arrow and long range multishot... (I know there's a point blank build that is somewhat passable)
You could probably get more ignite damage by just using the burning blade stuff(without Overexertion) + Decoy with the Kelthan agent (the ignite duration pretty strong). I ran a setup like that a looong time back. Overexertion is pretty messed up in terms of cost->reward I don't think Coated blades can save it.
I tried so many times with First Strike only CinderStrike Every Patch even this patch because I like Bows every much, even with 2X -4 Mana cost to Throwing attacks Rings making 0 Mana cost Burning Cone Knives, For Sapping Strike +8 mana gain from 0 mana cost Burning Cone Knives + CinderStrike Fire Eater Node +9 mana , will not work with Sapping Strike +8 mana gain with 0 Mana cost Burning Cone Knives. I played only Ranger in POE for first 4 years every season. Normal CinderStrike + Burning Cone Knives + Sapping Strike was perfect for damage till normal monoliths, but on starting Empowered monoliths its brutal compared to Warlock Cht Fissure.
Hi Dread. Would you be able to have a look at Aurelis and Palarus swords and Orian's Sun seal and try to make build that would apply absurd amount of Electrify stacks?
Eleventh Hour Games is a smaller studio so they deliver less and on longer time tables with Last Epoch. To their credit, they have a pretty clear vision of what they want, and they do seem to be moving in that direction at all times. Blizzard is a massive studio so they deliver on a more consistent schedule. But their vision for Diablo 4 is much more wishy-washy and has changed numerous times. A lot of Blizzards seasonal updates hew very tightly to the "borrowed power" concept though. This makes it harder for them to make any of that content permanent in a satisfying way. Grinding Gear Games was delivering on a consistent schedule of 3 months, but then they kind of split their studio on development of Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2 concurrently. So as of late, 5 months is not out of character for them either. The general perspective I have heard from the community is that GGG seems to be shooting to eventually get to a 4 month cycle for each game, staggered so they have A release for one or the other every 2 months. GGG seems to have clear visions for PoE 1 and PoE2, but those visions can be a bit heavier in complexity than a new person to the genre is ready for. Also of note, GGG is by far the most experimental with their updates. They are willing to really throw things at the wall to see what is good and bad about the idea, then circle back 6 months later to incorporate what worked and rework/discard what didn't for the base game.
@@eepopgames2741 I can agree with you that it makes sense for them to take a bit longer because of how small they are, but that's about a year before anything changes and the game right now has allot of things that just doesn't work. Mainly skills that are extremely under tuned, and items that are borderline not useable. 5 extra months isn't to bad, but 10 is worrying.
I did play Melee Cinder Strike and i managed to grow the dmg to 500/600k dps on the dummy. I even have video of it killing Tier 4 Julra. Yes it was not the best build out there, but with the right items the Cinder strike skill works pretty good. This is my build planner BMN3nlPo
When I talk about this kind of stuff, I am talking about fresh out of normal monos into empowered monos. If your build can't handle empowered monos at level 80 on a fresh save, then its not a good build imo (outside of specific unique reliant builds with level requirements). If I just took this build into Trade and bought upgrades, it would have worked just fine. Very bad for the investment, but not worth it. Every skill should be able to beat the *level 80 empowered monos* check. Its a very very low bar to meet considering enemies in endgame get well over 700% more health and damage now.
@@Dr3adful I remember using Odachi Two-Handed Sword and Damage while having a sword affixes on armor, helmet and idols to make the low level farm much more easy and enjoyable. I was looking for level 60 to 70 Odachi with tier 7 melee fire dmg or physical to make big dmg and slowly upgrading to tier 5 flat melee crit. That makes a big difference. Was going with those items until i manage to get that unique dagger that gives 13 flat crit and eye of reen for late game. Hope this info helps those who are interested in the challenge :D

Damn, the patch cycles for LE are gonna kill the game before it pops off
I feel the same way. Already finished all the builds i wanted to try and now i have to look for something else to play in the next 3 or 4 months,...
@@Kkkkkkkkkk747Slormancer if you havent played it already
@@micah_up Ohh thanks mate! I remember i had that game and didn't play it much.
Everyone here right now clicked to see if it was their build, don't lie guys
thank you love the dead brain build idea douing the torment lock now like it better than the totems
Just wait another month and we can play Patch of Exile 2

Cinderstrike is one of my favorite skills and I have tried to make it work so many times, hasnt happened yet.
i had fun with cinder strike and it was strong till lvl 30 when it falls off sharply. I went the first strike route too
This is a sort of a guide... a guide to not use Cinder Strike haha
It's really too bad. I tried unarmed melee cinder strike several months back because I wanted to do an unarmed alt and got the same results. Just not enough damage to get anywhere good.
This is the perfect time for you to create the no weapon no shield melee only build
I use Cinder strike instead of Puncture on my Falconer. Cinder seems to be better with a bow I think?
What you mean by them taking a break? So like what happens when this event ends. Does a new cycle start or just nothing?
LMAO I had to watch this, great job.

I play unarmed cinder strike religiously to level all of my rogue before switching build. From my experience you will always want a good shield 🛡️

Yeah, this is the problem: players and EHG have a vastly different understanding of what a "good" build is.
Hi Dread. Would you be able to have a look at Aurelis and Palarus swords and Orian's Sun seal and try to make build that would apply absurd amount of Electrify stacks?
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see your gear or anything and no planner included... did you try this on falconer with the falcon fist gloves?
cinder strike gets better after 100 hours
EHG said they are taking another 5 months off? Holy hell!
need to improve the patch cycle time
5 month break seems kinda long is that normal for a company to have such a long down time or is that just how it is for these types of games?
Not normal at all, EHG is slow

Counterpoint alluvion wave.
Have fun making that garbage work (no making a shatter strike build doesn’t count since that does 99.99999% of the damage)
how replace poison to ignite?
It's a node on cinderstrike
