In my opinion, Chicano Rap started with Spanish Fly, 18 With a Bullet..those dudes had the underground tapes going way before Kid Frost came out with "LA Raza" from what I hear from my OG's...don't get me wrong, Kid Frost was around doing music but, real Chicano Rap started with Spanish F.L.Y. ( Rich Roc and Ese Daz)
Yup ... Brown Pride , Spanish Fly , L.S.D ,Proper Dos and Brown Side... in my opinion led the Gangster Rap from Hip Hop style to Gang Bang rap style. Street shit. I think Brown Pride May have came out with their shit a lil before Spanish Fly but not that much more .
I think spanish fly and frost started around the same time. ICE T used battle Frost. Frost didnt get a deal till later. Entreprenuer Like spanish fly, steve yano. , jammin James and Eazy e all saw talented who were latinos.
Brownside, Proper Dos, Spanish Fly and Cali Life Style were doing it before anybody. Respect the legends.

When Mr. Dee was on Hood Stocks and they wanted him to bust a freestyle near the end, he couldn't even do it. Then, just to bust an acapella of one of his songs and he couldn't do that either. That was embarrassing. I think Mr. Dee's manager is the biggest problem. No experience, no schooling, on managering. He even said in the interview that he doesn't even know what he's doing, everything is just on the fly as far as managing. He's just Mr. Dee's big homie and that's the only reason he's in that position. And the manager has such a downer personality, who would even want to be working with someone like that. Anywayz, I like Mr. Dee and wish the best for him.

Totally agree. This dude was a dj and hanging out with nwa. Produced some early hits with HI-C. His podcast is growing and having an influence. Even the couple of beats I heard with Mr Dee got that authentic 90s hip hop feel. They don’t sound like some generic keyboard or cholo rap beats most these dudes be rapping over. I really wanted to see Tony come back to being a producer.
