- We kicked off 2019 with a trip to a location that we have never been to before: Sri Lanka. With beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife, it’s an adventurer’s paradise and we made the most of the ten days we had there!

Been following you for some time now, mate. Really like your technical abilities - you make everything look absolutely stunning! My feedback would be to focus more on the storytelling aspect if you want to take your channel to the next level. At the moment, every vlog you upload is pretty predictable - you tell us how you wake up early to catch the sunrise, say "it's gonna be absolutely incredible", cue the cinematic b-roll, then vlog saying "this view is insane", then abruptly cut to the next day. Your 'story' is more of you telling us which camera you use, which shutter speed you picked for which timelapse etc. rather than the people you met and the culture you experienced. I like watching your vids cause it's technical but I feel if you only go down this path, it's not going to help grow your channel. Not hating, just saying how I see it and helping you to grow 🙌

Why do you use black bars if you never use full screen 1920x1080 footage? wouldn't it be better to export in 21:9? This way on my screen i get vertical bars sideways. I would like to know why do you choose to do this, is it because of the end screen support?

Hey buddy! Some stuff you should know so you have a nice trip:
I have to add a few things about Sri Lanka which the video doesnt tell you. Call me a hater, despite the fact that I just give you some truth: You have to be aware that he cut out most negative stuff. He didnt show the broken and dirty roads on his way between the shoots, he hasnt shown all the poverty and the people who will beg for money, try to fool you with fake products or the high amount of sexual assaults that happen there if you travel alone as a woman. I met much travelers there and there are also much cases postet in the biggest facebook group about Sri Lanka travel which documents that you shouldnt travel alone as a women there. Also the drivers prices are way to high due to influencers like him who can pay high prices which lets the people there think that every white person has so much money. Dont get a driver from a company but a selfemployed one who gets recommende by other travelers in online groups. Skip Ella and Nuwara Eliya
since its just nice if you have a drone. Its not worth the huge detour. There is nothing up there which is nice to see. Nuwara Eliya
sadly is just a dirty lake with strange stuff build around it. Ella is just a dirty road with a few mountains around it. So better stay at the beaches or visit Kandy. Regarding Kandy: If you visit the temple you have to leave your shoes and go in there with long trousers and you will get pretty dirty feed. Ignore the people who try to get your money by showing you the temple, they dont help you really much, so better do it on your own. If you go to a reserve to see elephants also say that you dont want a guide, its wasted money. They will try to insist but just be selfconfident. I really loved the trip and there were much nice people, but be aware of scams, much dirty areas, sexuall harassment if you travel alone as a female and much overhyped spots that just look nice with a drone or gimbal shots. I dont like it when places to travel get a fake review to lure people into that place with false hopes. Sri Lanka isnt the heaven they promise you, so you will have a better time there if you dont have the expectations that a video like this will cause.
Other important things:
Pls dont go to the turtle sanctuaries at the coast since they keep them under horrific conditions so tourists can make pictures. Dont go whale watching since the companys hunt the whales and really disturb them. Dont ride on elefants since they get tortured. People there will lie to your face while smiling about the conditions, but there is enough evidence providet by honest Singalese people who took videos of the torture of the elefants. Dont pet the stray dogs (there are 1.5 million of them in the country) since they get agressive easily and they have deseases. Dont get near lakes or rivers since there are crocodiles in Sri Lanka. Dont cross streets easily since there have been much dead tourists due to street accidents. Enjoy the food, the weather, the beaches and the tea. Remember that if your weather app shows rain all week that there will be most likely no rain all day, its just heavy rain for an hour. Fullmoon is a holiday there so shops will be closed. You can get your visa right at the airport at your arrival. Dont trust cops there since they are really corrupt. Always set the prices for tuktuks and taxis BEVORE you drive with them, or you will be fooled. DONT party with the guys who work at the beach bars. They are called "Beachboys" by the locals and they are all around Sri Lanka. They are like entertainers who try to lure you to partys and stuff but their main goal is to get a white woman pregnant so they can follow her to her country. I met a guy who managed to do that with a girl from austria. They are sadly shady and not trustworthy. Dont drink the water there since its not safe for Europeans. Enjoy the fresh fruits there, since they have everything from huge avocados, over king coconuts or passion fruits. They are really delicious. Also stay away from monkeys, they are sneaky and steal stuff. Thats all that comes to my mind right now.
