My Pi Star does create a its own Internet location that I can connect to, unless it is the "hidden" location, so can you help me?
Do you have a Pi that has wifi built in or a pi-supported wifi dongle?
@@temporarilyoffline the hot spot has a small board that fits on top of the. Raspberry Pi.
That's a ham radio hat, that's not wifi. What model of Pi do you have it attached to?
@@temporarilyoffline yes that is correct. It is the ham radio hat. The WiFi is built into the board, but I can not connect thru a wired connection nor thru the WiFi connection. From what I read the hot spot is supposed to generate its own address, which I find with my computer and then go to Pi-star. It does not generate its own address so I can’t get to pi-star to check Lan addresses or WiFi. Any ideas on how to get to pi-star?
Anytime the pistar software can't connect to a known wifi, it creates its own wifi access point. You have to connect to that first, then go to the pistar website (from the pi) and configure your wifi settings and reboot.

@@temporarilyoffline You must have a firearm for a reason, but there is no reason whatsoever to show it on a video.
@@colinlyne7399 why does this bother you so much that you continue to comment on it? You must have a pen for a reason, but I'm not constantly bringing it up. I just assume that the pen brings value to your life and I move along with mine... Yet you keep coming back around on this thing (which isn't actually even a firearm by the way). You might want to do some soul searching to find out why something sitting on somebody else's desk from a several year old video bothers you so.
