Hey u would ideally need a good credit score above 700 atleast i would say to qauliify for amex cobalt , so first apply for a credit cartd with your bank where u hv a bank account , they would usually give u a card without crerdit score, build a credit history and then apply
@@sofiaincanada I am moving to Canada soon to use my PR and explore work opportunities. As per your response, I am not eligible for any credit card? So how do I begin building my credit score since it will take me a couple of months to find a good job opportunity. In fact I am sure many immigrants must be facing this challenge since they might take a few months to settle in with jobs. I think you might want to consider them as well in the newcomers category. Would love to know if there are some credit cards for new immigrants as well who are still navigating the job market. Appreciate the prompt response! :)
Hi great question, u can start with opening a credit card with the bank where u open your bank account, most banks will offer immigrants a credit card upon opening an account even if u don’t hv a credit history , plus your phone plan also contributes to your credit history
Is Amex cobalt issued to newcomers with no credit history?
