What effect would ceasing to be a South African tax resident (non-tax resident), but still a SA Citizen, have on the finance application and transfer of ownership? I assume all that is needed is a SARS tax clearance as per normal.

Excellent video Rowan- and a great piece of marketing for your services BTW. May I comment that SA realtors present very professionally. We have property in Australia, Poland and also looked very seriously at in Ireland ( = got 3 bids agreed but withdrew from all 3 becuase of the chaotic, haphazard 'Dutch auction' which is the Irish property market!), the UK and Malta . You guys have an approach identical to Oz. Europeans still do not get it regarding internet marketing. Good stuff!

Hi, I am curious to know if the foreign buyer lives outside of South Africa, would he need to have an account in a south African bank? or can he take a bond with his foreign bank to pay off the property? Great video btw, this is very informative

im am soo grateful for this information, as a foreigner looking to buy a house in SA , this is what I needed. However, I have a question - is there a particular bank that is best suited for foreigners to help make things happen a lot sooner and smothers ? I have so many questions do you have a master class or something like that , where I can ask it all at once ? thank you by the way

It’s truly baffling to me that banks view salary income as more secure than self employed income. It makes zero sense. Salaried employees can be fired at the drop of a hat.
@@trevorhoyte9818 depends where you are employed - in the USA employment is at will , you can be fired at anytime for any reason or no reason. If you have a decently established small business like 5 years operating for example - there is no way on earth that a salaried position in the states could be deemed more secure for a bank. I chalk this up to backward underwriting procedures in South Africa.
I have a question: Is it possible that the bank finances with zero deposit but secured with a house in the UK as collateral? The value of the house is much greater than the value of the property in South Africa.

Can you share knowledge around development finance ?

I have a contractual agreement with no end date and different laws giving me security. As a self employed person you don’t. It makes sense.

do you need to have a SA bank?
You don''t need an SA bank account in order to apply.
I have a question:
