I wonder how the listeners here feel about having your kids or grandkids trick or treat. I was always against it when I had a child at home… I heard AB talk once about it.
@@patriciavarga4084 I'm against it also. As a youngster we were not taught that way even though we were in the Plymouth Brethren. As a very young adult(16yo) in the early 1980s Detroit the night before the city was ablaze. Now church's have *fall festivals* and trunk or treats in church parking lots. I feel like just because it happens at a church it is still wrong. We just heard 'Legalism by AB. A possible way to handle it is to teach a child it's wrong. Not to dress up etc. Suggest a activity and teach the child it's a wrong way,why it's wrong and ask the child how they feel. Take them skating or putt putt golf. After my ordeal in the jungle of a 3rd world country at 14yo I left my family home afraid of being sent away. It's a miracle I'm still alive. I'm glad you brought this topic up. We shouldn't ever observe the Pagan roots of ALL holidays. Denounce them at all times.ESPE CILY on the dates of said holidays with pagan roots.
God is in the redemption business. We should be too. Redeem Halloween. Teach your children the Bible and have them dress in biblical characters and witness to this dying world!
