Your cards and techniques are always amazing! I look forward to this video every month! Thank you for putting so much time into them, you are truly appreciated!
I believe this is my favorite video! So many wonderful cards and variety of ideas for using different products in our stash. Very much appreciated. I always look forward to seeing your videos. I have tried several new mediums after watching. Also appreciate all of the tips shared. So glad you are feeling better. When a Nurse rests/calls off work, you know it was bad.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. When your video didn't show up around the normal time I started praying for you and your family. I love that green card! What a creative way to use the cosmic shimmer! I was surprised that when you sanded it didn't go through the red to the white paper. Your cards are very inspirational as always. Thank you for putting all the time and energy into these videos that you do so that we can learn from you. Now I just have to go back and find where you shared how many glycerin drops to how much water to refresh our oxide pads!
Tanya, I am absolutely amazed at the fantastic cards you made from this month's kit. You are truly inspiring! My favorites are the ones you did with the cloche trees. I did not order any of these but now I certainly will! Also, I like the techniques you did with the peppermint embossing folder (the ones you sanded and the ones you painted.) You always have such fun ideas for embossing folders! The tags you made with the cloche tree are pure genius. Love, love, love watching your videos--I am glued to the set and sometimes I watch multiple times! Plus, your voice is clear and well-modulated--easy to listen to and understand. And on a side note, I also am a very big fan of Hero Arts and continue to support their business as best I can. I wish you did videos with their products, too!
I'm glad you are feeling a little better, it's awful feeling rubbish. Gorgeous cards as always. I love this month's releases, it's very rare that I don't like the kit clubs these days 🤣. Thank you for sharing how to rejuvenate the gilding polishes, I have quite a few so that is useful to know. I could not choose a favourite as there are so many gorgeous ones, I have to admit, the green one was my least favourite, for me, there was too much green, green is not one of my favourite colours. Thank you. X
Sorry to hear you have not been well. I loved all the cards, my favourite was the bright Christmas trees although it was hard to pick one. I think the green card turned out great. 😊
I wanted to add something else: In my experience acrylics tend to wreck brushes over time by paint buildup around the ferrule. With watercolor brushes especially this becomes a problem because they kind of splay out and no longer come to that wonderful fine point that we buy expensive brushes for. I've been using cheap brushes for acrylics for years now and I really feel like my watercolor brushes live longer this way. It might not bother you, but I wanted to warn you anyway :)
I've been wondering whether buying the Distress Refresher would let me get more use out of my ink pads until I can afford to buy refills. And I suspected it's glycerine based, thank you for that tip! Also, maybe you could tell your contact at Spellbinders (assuming you have one) that the layering stencils are difficult to line up. Other brands add etching to make it easier.
You mentioned that you refreshed your Pearl Lustre Gilding Polish… what did you use to refresh the Gilding Polish? Thx so much ! I love all your videos and cards !
I used plain water with an eye dropper to add 2-3 drops at a time and stirred/broke up the gilding polish with a metal palette knife. I use this method for any paste.
I’m sorry you got sick and I hope your hubby doesn’t have Covid or flu. I love that green card, and the sand block trick was really cool! I learn so much from you, now I want all the cosmic colors and a sand block too. Do you get it at craft store or hardware store? 😊
I got the sanding blocks from Simon Says Stamp. I don't have affiliate links with SSS but here is the product link: www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/paper-artsy-sanding-blocks-set-of-5-01175

Thank you for your kind words, Polly. And maybe I will do Hero Arts kits someday, if I can find a little more time ;)

Good reminder. I try to only use my not-watercolor brushes, but sometimes I forget.
