मतदान प्रतिशत कुछ कम होने का कारण भीषण गर्मी भी है। सरकार पर गुस्सा होता है तब मतदान प्रतिशत ज्यादा होता है या बराबर की टक्कर होती है वहां ऐसा होता है। सब सीटों पर टक्कर नहीं है, विपक्ष के मतदाता सोच चुके हैं कि आएगा तो मोदी ही इसलिए वे शिथिल रहे तो पक्ष के मतदाता भी नहीं जागे और उस सीट पर मतदान कम हुआ।

प्रशांत जी, पहले आप बिहारी ओ को आबादी नियंत्रण करने को कहें, सबसे बड़ा कारण यही है बिहार के पिछड़े होने का, गुजरात का एरिया 196000 sq km है और बिहार का सिर्फ 94000 sq km है, उसके सामने गुजरात की आबादी 7.25 cr है और बिहार की 13 करोड़ है, ये हिसाब से बिहार मे जो density of population hai उतना ही गुजरात मे अगर हो तो गुजरात की आबादी 26 cr होनी चाहिए, जबकी सिर्फ 7 करोड़ है, यही कारण है बिहार, बंगाल, up, झारखंड जैसे राज्यों के पिछड़े होने का.

From the whole interview it looks like Bharka Dutt tried her best to bring out something positive from Prashant Kishore in favour of Congress but people are now no more foolish to point out these things.
This is Prashant Kishore trying to attract attention to himself by making a false narrative that Modi’s popularity is falling - it means Prashant Kishore is suffering from FOMO - he has lost his significance so using Modi’s name to attract attention.

Great interview and a lot of incisive analysis. However, i am unconvinced on the following:
1. As per PK Modi popularity falling according to google analytics - in 2014 Modiji was relatively unkniwn and people were curious to know more about him so they searched online to understand him better. Secondly, Google analytics also includes data by foreigners who don't vote in India.
Over the last ten years, woth all the exposure modiji is getting on mainstream media, there's little need to gather info online.
Also, remember, in 2013/14 the media was relatively negatively presisposed towards Modiji and shared relatively less or mostly negative info about him. People needed more unprejudiced info so they searched on Google.
2. According to PK, 38% vote share for modi means only half the hindus are supporting Modi. This is flawed since average voter turnout at about 67% means only two-thirds of Hindus are voting. Actually the number is less since most muslims are usually made to vote and they vote largely against Modi. Assuming about 60% of the appx 80% Hindus voted, that means, of the 48% of Hindu vote, Modiji got 38% which is actually very good.
Hindus are mostly silent voters and when they come out to vote in greater numbers, they create a bigger vote percentage for Modiji and BJP.
