Out of no where I got this video recommended, and I can say without a doubt: if I had the chance to live one moment in history with anyone and anywhere I wouldn't choose anything else besides this.
The fact that it became one of the preferred/overused songs to start introducing students into the art of singing doesn't make it boring, it became very popular because of that but it is actually a very beautiful song.
I once heard Luciano Pavorotti's father singing and he was even better, if possible, than his son! The technique was there, even though he was quite old at the time. With proper technique, one can sing throughout life.
I agree and there was a time when Luciano strayed a little too far from the tree and did not sing at all well, though he must have gone back to papa to study again because he later improved.
Yuh, as if. Maybe for two weeks. Give up, tootsie. He is the greatest tenor in history - go listen to his Caro mio ben - the hardest song to sing because it is the most boring and the most simple - it is the history of vocal art, not just a great performance. You people who nitpick, please-keep your inane comments to yourselves. No one has ever equalled his artistry as an exponent of pure bel canto at the very highest level.
@heron520 non ha mai studiato la messa di voce e lo smorzo . e nemmeno bene il solfeggio..ma cio nonostante cossa fare con la voce lo sapeva eccome e poi che mezzi
