Are they worth it? Are you going to preorder and which one or both? Let me know below!
This is painful. 1/4 scale is just too big for my space, but these are two titles I would buy from NWT in a heartbeat.
Understandable
I’d love a Crazy Climber machine. Or Stratovox.
Crazy Climber is a fun game but I always frigging die
People hollering about the price seem to have no apparent clue on total cost and economy of scale constraints. If they were a charity, or used crappy materials, then lower cost. Return on investment curves are hard.
Zookeeper is one that was never ported to many platforms since it's arcade release came close to the video games crash of 83. I remember pumping quarters into it at the arcades back in the day. Those crazy corner "floaty" jumps and wild sound effects were what kept you coming back.
Appreciate the comment thanks for sharing!
Your new background music is bangin Pdubs. I especially like the music during the Elevator Action showcase. Cool mix overall
Hey thanks man, I have lots and lots of new music I'll be rolling into videos
Like the looks, like Numskull, but haven’t bought one of their products since they went north of $200, except the 7-11 soda pop machine, but that is only $60 if I remember right (Hope that ships soon too.)
Even though I know they’re bigger, I’m just not sure they’re worth $60, $70 or even $100 plus more depending on the game, for me at least.
I just found 3 soda pop machines the real deal on facecrook for 300 each!
No worries! I appreciate the feedback!
I haven't bought any if the numskull products as of yet.. have a great selection of NWT models as they are priced right and great quality products.. I just have a hard time dropping $250 and up that in reality is going to be a shelf piece the majority of the time
No worries man appreciate the feedback!
FML x 2. I'm in for both but this is becoming a true problem. To date, I have every NWT and QA machine released.
QA has delivered on every promise to date except for Track and Field. That deposit never turned into an actual machine.
I used to own Zookeeper and this is a great way to get it back in the mix.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks Scott! I can't believe you own every one!
I was hustled. When I was in the Centipede Kickstarter, I thought that would be a one off build and now...... Well, you know the deal.
Maybe I'll post a clip on UA-cam showing them all.
Hello. My channel is not monetized, so hope this is OK. I put up a 42 second video of the NWT collection. If this comment is against your channel terms, please accept my apologies and delete.
Elevator Action! Yes, I am in.
Boom 💥
Between those 2 I'd probably get Zoo Keeper just because I think it has slightly better gameplay although Elevator Action is still pretty cool
Thanks for sharing!
thank you for telling us. but i wish they would have did ghostbuster first. but i will get zookeepers
Ghostbusters soon hopefully
That Elevator Action looks amazing. I have never got an arcade this size but I might have to get it.
Boom 💥
Hopefully they improve the screen quality because Bubble Bobble was terrible.
Screen looked good on TMNT etc so I have hope
PDubs,
I'd love to pick both of these up, but with the other one's Numskull's announced, Pong, Lunar Lander, The Real Ghostbusters, and Burgertime, I have to be a bit choosy, because I want those as well (no Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja for me :P). For this round I'll be going Team Michael B and get Zookeeper. Though I lean more towards Elevator Action when it comes to gameplay, like you, I don't often play these machines. I collect these, because they truly enhance my Home Arcade. Something about these replicas give me a trick of the eye and make it feel like I have more machines in my arcade. It's some kind of perspective thing where it looks like these machines are full size, but just tucked further back in the arcade.
Numskull and New Wave Toys have made it possible for me to add more arcade machines to my Home Arcade. I can have their machines for the look, while playing the actual games with full sized controls on my 3/4 scale sized machines. Brilliant!
I wish the preorders were available on Amazon. I get free shipping there. Getting a preorder on Just Geek, you'll actually be paying more even with the early bird discount. I think I paid around 40 some dollars to have Space Invaders shipped.
I loved hearing you perspective on these two new beauties! Have a great one!
vgv
Thanks Vegas! I'm assuming the other titles you noted above would end up being more popular and sell more units. Maybe they wanted to get these out of the way.
PDubs,
I love the fact that Numskull isn't stuck on Pac-Man like another company we know :) I want to see more games like Zoo Keeper and Elevator action. I actually asked them for a Wacko machine, which is in a very unique shape and I also asked them for Cosmic Avenger as it's artwork is some of the best I've seen. These weren't as widely known in the Arcade's I visited, but I love to see a company hit some of these deep cuts. Elevator Action is a huge win and I'm glad you'll now have an amazing replication!
vgv
Hopefully Coleco will release these also😂
Hopefully not!
I'm holding off for BurgerTime (my brother's favorite) and Pong.
Who asked for Zoo Keeper and Elevator action? Where's Gauntlet, Tetris, Hyper Sports, R-type, Kung Fu Master, etc.
Wish I had a crystal ball for ya!
They both look great but I'm waiting for Burgertime 🍔
Excellent choice
Elevator Action cabinet should've both 1 & the sequel.....
Damn it Pdubs...I really hate how you reach into my wallet and spend my money before 730 in the morning....lol. Elevator Action, I'm in! Buy now, forget about it, be surprised when it arrives and don't think about how much it cost!! Actually I have 4 of these, and they're worth it. I know you had an issue with Pac Man, but so far, I think they've improved quality overall.
Also, I suspect that means Bad Dudes won't be until Q1 of 2025
They can hold Bad Dudes until 2029.
They should stick with the top arcades of all time. Just my opinion.
But once those 50 or so are done..what do they do then?
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Then you move into those that many haven't heard about and check them out carefully for their best in fun factor!
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Select the best of those unheard of arcade games and then release them.
I love Quarter Arcades but they are both a pass for me. I have no nostalgia for nor interest in either. I’ll get Burgertime for sure. It’s good to see them doing more obscure titles but I don’t think they will be big sellers.
Appreciate the feedback!
Waiting for Space Dungeon or Sinistar..then my wallet will open again.😮
First guy I've seen ask for space dungeon
One of my favorite Atari 5200 games second to the 5200 Robotron..hours and hours playing those two games..😊
I’m done with numskull they went from $150 to another $150 making their games costing $300 now not worth buying you want to pay $150 more that’s fine but the size matters I’ll buy from arcade 1 up instead who makes a lot of sense why that game costed that much I see no reason why these games should cost $300 if their 1/4 scale size
No worries and appreciate the opinion
I bought a few of them in the beginning, but then I decided there’s no way I’m collecting new wave toys and numbskull and new wave toys releases way more & quality is better. It takes numbskull years to release a cab or two. Not disappointed going with new wave.
I love this comany
They do a good job!
As one of those people that voted for quality instead of cheapening the quality, they never mentioned that the costs would be nearly 2X from the original prices. As it stands, the cabs are all way too expensive. NWT is doing it right (aside from that non-playable pinball machine)
And yet the coin doors are plastic. Why not make metal coin doors if people are willing to pay more for quality?
@@decadentdave they were asked that recently in the group and explained how it would've added more and they did what they could to get it to $249.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft it’s like we can’t have it both ways. People are willing to pay more for quality and yet they can’t seem to bring costs back down to pre-Space Invaders pricing.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I think the problem is overly high profit margins. The difference in cost of materials does not equate to $30 at keystone. (I'm an importer of 20+ yrs)
@@decadentdave NOTHING costs the same as it did in 2018 (when the last pre-Space Invaders Quarter Arcades were released). Even the corporate superpower that is Sony increased the cost of their PS5 in 2022 due to rising production costs - so what hope do small companies have? In short, those pre-covid prices have gone forever.
These are more than a little too rich for my blood, especially for a 1/4 scale, and for something I'm not "SUPER" interested in.
No worries! Appreciate the feedback
@PDubsArcadeLoft Even if it's not something I'm not interested in buying, I still appreciate the reviews for new and different products.
Neither one of these games pulls at my nostalgic heart-strings, however even if they did, $250 for a mini-arcade cab, is asking a LOT.
Yes sir, $250 is some cheddar
$250? They Are Out Of Their Minds. “Dust Collector” items P-dubs. Love your channel.
