Info display auto rotation is a great feature don't turn it off ..maybe you don't get used to it and frustrated as it was personal preference so don't suggest others do so but it's an excellent feature and very useful

Thanks for your feedback. When I'm shooting, I like it.
However, when I'm playing the images back, that's when I hate this "smart" feature. But it's true, it's my personal preference only.

I don't understand why so few videos talks about the Silent Mode. Because personally it's a big step forward: it takes the pressure off from bothering people during a silent performance like a theatre or cinema screening.

Thank you but. 1. I like that the camera auto rotates. 2. I can see less noise on the lossless compression. 3. Buy a mosquito repelant.

Do you think the Z8 AF is at Canon level?

Good question: I did not have a Canon camera with me when testing the Z8, but in my experience, the Z8 gave very reliable results, there was no occasional misfocused shots. Also, even with a running dog, even at F/1.2, the focus was always spot on

RAW recording needs to be on lossless compression if you want your Mac to recognize them. Found out the hard way.

Just got the z8 and while it's really the most irrelevant of features regarding the outcome the terrible quality of the artifical shutter sound greatly affects my shooting experience. In a €4.5k camera there should be room for better sound! Maybe I'll get used to it but shooting without audio feedback is simply not such a nice experience...
