Yh all those dreams of him being surrounded by walkers but almost cherished... that is how he saw himself dying hence why he was smiling as he died! That’s my thoughts anyway. 👍🏻

The hug between Darryl and Carol... The Walking Dead finally got me.
Alpha’s mask is iconic. Still has the hoard following her to their death. Lydia’s character growth and Beta’s death scene were my fave parts of this episode. Also a very nice score

Beta's death was something... Like WHAT?! He imagined himself pulling the knives out and hugging the walkers, and the way they did it portraying how insane he was, smiling while being torn apart. The directing, wow👏👏👏

He was so insanw that he saw the walkers as his fans so he was imagining being torn apart/embraced as being embraced by his fans like during concerts
Along with him and Beta talking and the music with it? Fantastic editing too. This show will never cease to deliver some phenomenal moments.
beta was such an awesome character. one of his coolest scenes was when he rose from the grave in alexandria and went jason vorhees on them

@@franklange7692 nah it was better than his comic death where he’s just roaming around the woods and Jesus and Aaron are on a date and they mistake him as a walker so one of them shoots him in the chest to get him down and then Beta started yowling in pain b/c of the shot so Aaron and Jesus realized it was beta and Beta asks them to not unmask him but Aaron and Jesus don’t listen to his request so they unmask him and then beta screams one last time and then drops dead.
Love the scene between Carol and Lydia... SUCH AN EPIC MOMENT!

That is not the reason why he doesnt remove the mask. The main reason is because that mask is the face of his dear friend/brother and by wearing his mask is like they are together forever just like how he is wearing alpha face.

The Epic Extended Final Season of The Walking Dead...
Great reaction, this was a Masterpiece, I absolutely loved Lydias story and her and Carols scenes, and loved that Negan went out there to help(even though he didn’t kill Beta himself he did distract him enough for Daryl to kill him), also really thought Gabriel was donzo, but Maggie and the mystery bada** saved him, the shot when Lydia threw Alphas mask and it was falling with the walkers was literal perfection
WHAT A FINALE! BTW we are getting 6 extra Episodes for Season 10 and Season 11 will be the Final Season with 24 episodes!

Love that scene of alphas mask floating down the cliff! Just feels like the end of dreaded chapter in their story, a new dawn sort of vibe.

Beta's death scene was absolutely beautiful and badass. Also the two knives in the eyes made me think of the two pennies on the eyes in Boondock Saints with Norman doing it.
Man.... It sucked so much waiting MONTHS to see this episode but it was worth it.
The look of fear and terror on Steve's face when Beta pulled the knives out of his eye was pure gold!
The Lydia and Carol duet brought me to tears. Carol saved Lydia in 9x16, Lydia saved Carol in 10x16. The circle is complete.
Carol's revenge in 10s is the same as Maggie/Daryl's revenge in 9s. Which triggered a chain of events and led to Rick's "death". But the power of hatred that Carol was exposed to when Maggie and Daryl weren't even mentioned. She would have given her life for them. She's a lone wolf. Went on a mission alone. And Daryl always followed her. He told everyone to go to the cave, she didn't ask anyone. Is it her fault that the Alpha attacked? Yes, and Dante was already among them, slowly poisoning them.
I like Connie and I'm glad she's alive. It's funny that no one died at the border or in that cave, but Carol got all the shit. Okay, what would Rick and Michonne do if Carl or Judith's head was on that peak? Don't answer, I already know. And I know that no one would object to their actions or blame them for the consequences.

If I didn't like Lydia before (and I did), her bringing Carol back from the edge made me love her.

My first thought on Negan vs. Beta: “Leather fight!”
I’ve already had to rewind your reaction to Beta’s death a few times. That death scene was fucking metal, namely with Beta pulling out those knives. The walkers’ chanting as Beta succumbed to them - it’s like the chanting turned into singing a song.
Gotta love Negan being a little star-struck at Beta’s real identity.
This show’s green screen effects suck. The shot with the falling mask was awesome though.
One plot wraps up, and we’re afoot with the next one.
I’m guessing the green screen effects was due to Covid restrictions. TWD has never had great CGI in the first place
Nozzledog55 - Their green screen effects have been poor for a while. If you want a prime example, go back and look at the episode where Rick first speaks to Jadis, and Rick is at the top of the trash heap.
Anon Ymous - oh I know the one. They usually do good with large groups of walkers, but they typically have issues with green screens or cgi, specifically recently

I really would like it if for the remainder of the series, the writers would make things a little less over the top, but this episode seems to indicate the opposite. Beatrice leg being ripped off by hand?? A handful of whisperers instantly stearing 100,000 walkers on command, etc. I really hope they don't jump the shark the way they did last season of FTWD. I've always felt the show was best at it's most elemental.
As much as this show can jump the shark it pales in comparison to FTWD lol

As far as maggie, that's what I'm more interested in, I hope they don't skip over that shit, and cut that story/interactions short.

If anything, it's Maggie's fault that Negan is still alive.
I think you missed that it was actually a Triple Threat on Beta. He was distracted by Lydia [I had to go back and double check, but looks to me like it was Lydia who whispered "Alphaaaaa" which caught Beta's attention, he was focused on her when Negan dropped the "Hey, sh*th**d" diversion from her, which led to the ultimate Daryl double eye stab.
And *_ABSOLUTELY_* *_NO_* Beta did not pull the knives out of his eyes. A moment later you see Daryl pull them from him. *_THAT_* was all in Beta's head. [He's crazy, he hears Alpha, he hears the walkers, in *his* *mind* he had this ultimate badass moment.]

This was such a great episode! That person that was with maggie made me think of morgan because he before used to dress like that and have that stick with him when he learned how to use that stick skillfully back when he met that eastman guy that tried teaching him not to kill people . That’s what this guy reminds me of but just with blades. But I bet you anything this masked man that’s with maggie , I bet it’s that black guy with the dreads and glasses that we haven’t seen since season 6 back when he and glenn were trying to kill the saviors at the satellite station in there sleep , remember. We haven’t seen that dude in a minute since then .
Anyone notice the music at the cliffs edge? It was the same as the 701 scene as Negan leaves them and the table scene at the end of the episode. I also noticed Loren Cohen wasn't in the "staring" credits. What's up with that!!??
She was probably just a guest star for this episode and will be in the main credits for the add-on episodes (or for the final season).

Important! : The masked person isn't Duane. In S3 episode 12 titled 'clear' rick, michonne and Carl find Morgan. In the house Morgan Is in there is writing on the wall. I saw ' duane turned ' in big red writing. Also when rick asked him ' do you know who I am? ' Morgan answered with ' people wearing dead people's faces' meaning the whisperers. I noticed this when watching twd for the 6th time. Btw there are rumours that the masked person with Maggie is duane so that's why I mentioned it
Love that Daryl and Negan worked together even tho Negan tortured him yrs earlier. And them walking down the road with burning down the house playing in the background was awesone!! I screamed and cried when I saw Maggie and she hugged Gabe. Took me right back to when she met him on that rock and in the church after the termites were slaughtered and she said it's just 4 walls and a roof. Wow, goosebumps!!!

"We didn't lose anybody". Exactly how I felt. But I feel bad for Beatrice and Oscar though (the actors anyway). Both have been around since season 7 and got like no screen time. He got zero development and she hasn't been seen in a season and a half. Then they bring em in just to kill them. Man that's rough.
Between Supergirl, Agents of SHIELD, and this series, at least the actress who played Beatrice is making the rounds of appearing in as many genre series as possible.

This finale was...interesting. There were some parts I really enjoyed, but I kind of feel like there needed to be a major non-enemy death. Beta's death was great to see, although I was kind of hoping the showdown with him and Negan & Daryl would be a little longer before he died, but it was still pretty cool. Yay for Maggie's return and I can't wait to meet whomever is behind the masked character. Eugene & company are definitely in a scary situation! Hope it turns out okay. Also yay that Connie is alive, but boo that she's with Virgil.
Can't believe we didn't see Maggie's face when she finds out Negan is one of them now.
I wanted to see her reunion with Carol and Daryl, the 2 who have been in her life the longest that are still here.

Negan took out Alpha, Daryl took out Beta! It is just SO RIGHT!
Every reactor is reacting this way towards Virgil. Which I don't begin to understand. The reasoning for his crappy actions were explained. He was forgiven by everyone he had crossed. So I am not getting why every reactor is down on Virgil. He came to Oceanside because that's where he last saw any of our group. No one was there , so he obviously kept moving and in that general area he runs into Connie. I am not saying no way could he turn into a villain(although, I highly doubt it, but it is possible), but with what we have seen so far , no it's not very logical to to EXPECT Virgil to do bad things. His reasonings for doing what he did was made clear.
I am not EXPECTING. I don't want a repeat of that same storyline, but the writers have repeated storylines in the past.
@@noragriffin6432 I hear you. I don't see a second heel turn from him though. I think he came to Oceanside because it was the one place he knew that had people. Instead he found it empty and found the kingdom. Possibly got the horse from Oceanside too.
I loved the symbolism with Betas death. I feel like when the knives went in, his whole life flashed before his eyes but in a twisted way. It was his life as a Whisperer. Alpha said "we need to become them" and in his mind he did. So that's what we saw. That's just my view on it, but if it was indeed intentional. PERFECT.

The next arc is actually exciting to see. Things are gonna be taken in a different direction compared to all the other conflicts
AMC spoils their own shows by making announcements of spinoffs so most of this episode I wasn't worried bout anything really.
I was getting anxious about Carol for a minute there, but then remembered the spinoff news. I hope that show will be I New Mexico where I'm from!
Anyone else suspicious about the Deryl/Carol spinoff news? head fake maybe? Then Carol dies? They have done it before.
Seeing Judith and Maggie meet again reminded me of when Maggie was holding her as a baby in tears.
I would love to join you guys as I live in the Atlanta area. Can most definitely count me in! As for this episode I think the delay really built this up for me to be more than it is. It felt a bit easy for them to get out of the situation and would have liked to see a more epic fight against beta. Love Maggie is back and Connie is alive. Can't wait for the supplemental episodes.

Beta did die very quick but was very realistic , the way to beat big guys is to distract or use speed - Daryl used that to defeat him when he pushed him down the elevator thing - a longer fight would of been better but probs would of been just beta getting slashed up

amazing acting as always, great scenes, beautifully shot, Beta's death and his end plus the mask falling off the cliff was beautiful :) disappointed no major deaths for the finale of the Whisperers but other than that it was good :D
Carol sacrifice wasnt necesary but I think that she believes she deserves it/ she had to do it. She was exhausted after everything. She saw her sons head on a fucking pike and she felt responsible for Connies “death”.
I was a little pissed that we didn't get a real fight between negan and daryl vs beta.

My review on the season finale it was really really good one thing that kind of bummed me out but it's agood thing as well but the lack of main character deaths that kind of was odd but other than that I really enjoyed everything that happened and by the way Eugene and them didn't even need them them stormtroopers lol
1. I gasped and cried when Maggie showed up with her badass Jesus Vorhees. Oh how I've missed her so much! Happy tears. Can't wait to hear where she's been and what's happened to her and who's her cool friend.
2. Cried when Maggie and Judith reunited and hugged.
3. Cried when Lydia prevented Carol from stepping off the cliff and held each other.
4. Connie is alive! But I'm scared for her once again cuz freaking Virgil was the one who found her. I do not trust this guy one bit after what he did to Michonne and the other people he locked up for years.
5. My niece also thought the soldiers at the end looked like stormtroopers 😂. I don't know if they are involved with those people that have been flying the helicopters.
6. I watched the other spin-off, World Beyond, and that one was good and very interesting. It revealed some insight into who are those people flying the helicopters that we've been seeing for years since the start of TWD among other details that I saw once I paused a couple times to take a good look at it and oh man it gave us a big clue to how far they've traveled on their helicopters. Good stuff to check out if you haven't yet.
Season 11 will be 24 episodes. Half will be shown in 2021 and the last half 2022
