Yep. Might have had one of the best seasons in Oregon history considering the numbers he was putting up when healthy. Just happened to bust up his throwing hand in this opener. VA was a special talent. Not great size, not the strongest arm. But the guy somehow could dance out of intense pressure. You'd think he was gonna be sacked for sure & all the sudden he'd start tap dancing & find his way to a throwing lane. And his deep ball was truly a thing of beauty. Sometimes it almost seemed like he was just heaving out into nowhere but then it would somehow find his target 30+yds downfield. When I heard he was Grad-tranning to Oregon I watched his EW highlights & I remember his deep throws being the thing that impressed me most about his game. Then when I got to see him live I was completely sold on him as being a legit stud(@ ASU). BEST GAME I'VE EVER WITNESSED IN MY LIFE! It's just so unfortunate he had that hand injury nagging him all season. It really showed against Michigan State. Plus it really exposed the lack of qb depth that was developed during the Helfrich era. Just watch what happened after Adams went down at the end of the first half vs TCU in the Alamo Bowl... just pathetic. I'm pretty sure he's been making a good go of things in the CFL for Montreal(i think Masoli & Lokombo are still balling up north too). So hopefully VA keeps playing & I get to catch him slinging it on TV for the Alouettes once in awhile.

Lots of talent on the field. DeForest Buckner for Oregon and amazingly 3 NFL standouts from Eastern Washington in Cooper Kupp, Kendrick Bourne and Samson Ebukam. Great video.
He definitely was, but I don't think people realized just how good he was playing since he was replacing Mariota. The Ducks were already starting to fall apart under Helfrich and Vernon Adams actually masked a lot of their problems this season with the way he could avoid pass rushers and extend plays.
I was lucky to watch Cooper Kupp all through college. Season ticket holder. Knew whoever was going to draft him was getting an absolute steal. Edit: fun fact Vernon Adams was Easterns qb the year before
