- Little over view of my 1997 s10 2.2 with the 5 speed in it. Shes on 12 in the rear 10 in the front, some fuel revolvers[15x10 -43],rgb halo lights,33's. It started as a stock baby blue s10 and I needed a project for autobody in school so I decided to paint her and build it up.
Great job. I have a 2000 S10 2.2l. I used Crown Suspension with 5" in the front and 3" in the rear. Running 31-10.50. Runs great with no loss of mpg. The engine is strong enough for what I like. Again great. Fun to lift.
how much it cost
I miss my old s10. That 4 banger just goes and goes. Mine had a total 7 inch lift with body and suspension and it got bagged hard when I was ranching
Dog this mug is sweet
Looks good, my Daughters 98 Sonoma has 6” lift front and rear on 31-10.50s
I like that. Nice and clean
Hakuna Matata Outdoors Thanks man
This is awesome
Thanks
So the rear is just axle flipped? Did you make the brackets or does someone sell them? And does it also have a lift shackle on the rear? Pretty cool build man. Never seen a 2wd that high
My friend just got a 2.2 RWD, aside from a lift kit and tires, what could he do to make it more capable off road?
Uhh, with mine on 28 in street tires a chain and a box of masonry screws made it through a gravel wash/river bed. So 10.5-15.5 wide would really do it. If its in the budget air shocks and bead lock rims to go low pressure in the tires and a few psi out of the rear to help get more weight in the rear will really help
how did you do your 12inc if you are using 3inc spndo
How do you turn those 33s on 15x10 rims with the 2.2? I just lifted my grandpas s10 with a 4.3 and 31s on 15x7 rims. Can't imagine having less power and even bigger tires.
mossman381 Its really not that bad,I mean it's slow dont get me wrong but where I live you never really have to go above 65,although I did do a couple 180 mile one way trips I was in 4th doing 85 and it only used 3/4ths tank or gas. That was with the stock gears, but with the 4.10s it's not that bad but its still slow.
The truck looks good. I didn't want to go any bigger than 31" because I wanted it to drive about the same way it did before. These trucks really aren't designed to have 33" tires on them. You will wear out ball joints, steering parts and bearings quick I bet.
mossman381 I have drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads and shoes. As for ball joints and all other ifs parts, they are holding up well and haven't hand any issues. I'm very meticulous on how I take care of my toys, every oil change I take apart and regrease my whole front end.
Gonna take this advice to heart about to do a lift on my 1997 chevy s10 auto extended cab so will take any said pointers
I got a 97 s10 ls ext cab 2wd
& I want lift kit that is noticeable right now its low almost lowrider I think its factory height low but I want put 33s on it or 35s & all I seem find is 2" lift kits
I want like 4" or 6" lift kit
Basically I want my s10 lifted
Jus like this s10 in this video
I think I seen your comment in another video thread I as well want to do something closer to that with my 97 s10 ls ext cab 2wd
Bruh. Why is there a lifted Square Body just sitting?
What’s the link where I can get parts for my truck
Looks like it’s doing a nose dive😂
Where did you get the kit
Hey can you tell me we’re you got your lift and everything
Somewhere someone else asked this and I linked it all down below.
Can anybody put the link back on there so I can see where I got to get parts for my Chevy S 10
I literally can’t find a lift at all for my 2000 Chevy s10
Where did you get the ball joint spacer
Can you please tell me I can’t find hardly anything for my 1994 S10 2wd 2.2 and I’m wanting to lift it
www.doetsch-shocks.com/14.asp
It had that kit it the video, but as of now I have also added a few more things and it's on 10inch upfront and 12 in the rear
how much it cost to life three inches all way around
hey man how much trimming did you have to do to fit the 33s? i have a 95 thats slammed and im going 6inches front and rear. not sure what im in for. Thanks for any help
I cut out a triangle shaped out of the rear of the fenders, along trimming the inner fenders but I curled it around to keep a factory look to them. As for the front plastic piece I just trimmed very lightly to the plastic valance, as long as you take you're time and don't plan on running hard off road you can get away with hardly any trimming.
Thanks man. So still some trimming with that kind of lift. It’ll be a learning process for me.
Where did you find your lift kit for your Chevy S10
Hey the link is no more good anyway you could help a brother out I have the same exact truck I just need a list of what I need
Wont I the bigger wheels be a lot to pull and mess up the transmission? I have a 2.2 and wanna do this exact thing
If your not bouncing limiter through the gears you should be fine. Just do an additional oil cooler, and 4.10 in the 7.5 or if its in budget new rear end with 5.00 gears would help it alot.
how did you get the 10 in the front? i feel like mine is maxed out at 3 inch lift spring and 3 inch lift spindles. Thanks again for the help.
3 inch body lift,3inch coils,3inch lift spindles,and a 1 inch ball joint spacer.
What's your lift kit specs just pick up A 96 2wd
Did change the headlights at all? I'm having trouble with mine on my 97 2.2 s10 I put h4 bulbs in it but they're still not bright enough.
Mine came in a kit,and I dont really remember what it all was but I do have ballast for them
@Cole Bronson you need to replace battery cables re-ground them or upgrade the wiring from battery to alternator to battery to ground. They use like 12 gauge from factory. Seen a lot of guys go to like 4 gauge to re ground the big 3
Do you have a link for the a arms?
How much did it cost
Where’d you get the lift?
hey man im currently in the middle of lifting my s10 and i want to know what you did to extend the rear brake hose. im stuck at 4 inches in the rear because of it. the front was easy, i used silverado brake hoses and they are same fittings, but more than twice the length. I cant find anything for the rear. please help. thanks
If you pause the video you can see where I made a metal bracket and put the brake line on top if it.
@@dippinandrippin1491 nice, thanks. also i put a 3 inch lift coil and a new upper control arm, but its bottomed out on the frame. is that why you used the balljoint spacer? thanks again for all the help
@@lyndaborges1929 I used the ball joint spacer for another inch just to make my tires clear a little better. The kit I bought came with different upper a arms and I had to cut and weld some new brackets for the bump stops. From my research I did you dont wanna go any bigger than 2.5 coils on you're stock a arms,I did it on one of my beater trucks and I can totally see why it's not reccomend.
I want this Hardware for the axle
I need dir help for my s 10
Can you put the link on
Where did you get the upper control arms?
They came in my kit I bought, somewhere in the comments below i linked it.
Yoooooooooo wassup
Where’d you get the lift kit?
www.doetsch-shocks.com/14.asp
What gearing do you have and how many mpg are you getting?
It had 4.10s and I couldn't tell you mpgs but I did 180 miles one way doing 80mph and it only used like 3/4ths tank.
@@dippinandrippin1491holy fuck thats 5km/l on the road! Ima sell mine asap
how brooooooo
yoooooooooo
What blue is that ?
2015 Corvette blue
Thanks
What kit
randy ward www.doetsch-shocks.com/14.asp
Why would you lift a 2wd ? Lmao
I wanted to build something different than, you're basic truck.
If u put lockers in it it’s just as bad as a 4wb truck
Because it looks bad ass and cheaper on insurance. Look at how many people have 4wd trucks and never put them in 4wd.
How did you do it and what kit did you use?
