The rom can be played in Nintendo 64 (through everdrive + Expansion Pack), Project 64 and Retroarch. It can also be played in Not64 (Wii homebrew app), but it suffers from several sound glitches in my case.

Funnily enough, waaaaay back in Ganbare Goemon 2 for Famicom, the ending twist revealed Ebisu was a beautiful red/pink haired lady.
That being said, this was NEVER brought up ever again... like, ever... forever...

I know he's there to be a boss character, but the fact that they added in someone so absurdly obscure like him into this game is kinda funny to me. Slippy and Peppy? Sure. Mad Piano? A little strange, but it works. Dragon King? Uhhh, he only works specifically in the context of Smash 64, but ok? Ebisamaru? *…Now they're just trolling us. XD*
Good luck to the PMEX Remix devs on trying to figure out how and when those guys would be added over there. *Lol*

@@samukadatp7969 Those are probably a bit too specific for Smash 64 Remix since pretty much all of the "newcomers" they added are from N64 games, outside of the ones who also appeared in other future Smash games of course. I can see Rayman and maybe Shantae happening at some point for PMEX Remix though, especially Rayman since that mod already has other floaty limbed characters like Sukapon and Vectorman.
Not as obscure as ya think. Ebisurmaru, or the Goemon series in general, may not be a western household name but those two have had decades worth of titles released in japan over the years since the 1980’s, quite successful ones at that lol.
Aside from their large Japanese audience recognition, the other valid reason I think this isn’t such an “out there” pick is because Mystical Ninja starring Goemon is arguably one of the very best games on the console. It was the Ocarina of Time a few months before there even was an Ocarina of Time lol.

I don't know why but every final hit makes both characters on screen stand still. The ending screen doesn't appear and none of the buttons work, I have to reset every time I beat giga bowser. (these problems only started happening when the update came out)

Tu que vas a saber de agregar personajes a smash remix, si ni siquiera conoces joyas ocultas de la nintendo 64 como Mischief Makers (el cual la protagonista es Marina) o el todo poderoso Mistical ninja (el cual el protagonista es Goemon) el mod o hack no solo agrega personaje que estén de moda, también agregar personajes que ni Dios conoce para que la gente los conozca, o no sabías que smash ya hacía eso verdad? Desde el primer smash agregaron a personajes como Ness que antes nadie lo conocía ahora todos los conocen por haber salido en smash lo mismo Lucas Terry min min Hero entre otros XDD
I dont mind that at all. What i do mind is that they add characters like Dr.Mario, Dark Samus and Wolf etc but dont give them a unique moveset compared to Ultimate
había mejores opciones como rayman, el hype fue casi nulo, pero con banjo me conformo. Quizás marina te lo medio acepto, pero creo que la ración de representar mystical ninja con goemon estaba más que servida. aparte para el gringo conker era juego de culto de n64 que se volvió franquicia insignia de rare junto a banjo kazooie
