the day i was going to kill myself, my friend told me about this song. i heard it and i called her back and told her that i was living in my jeep and i didnt know how to go on. i felt so lost and this song helped save my life. that night another friend opened her home to me and i knew i wasnt alone and that i am ok. this is my life's theme song. thank you for being a voice for God's love to pour out on us. blessed.

Lauren, this song means so much to so many people. For the last 3 years I have played guitar and sing for my Mom and Dad while they were together in their old folks home. My Dad passed away Dec 23rd 2019 and now I just sing for my Mom. Then sadly in March 2020 the horrible virus hit the world and where my Mom is they got hit very bad with many deaths. My Mom tested positive for corona 19 but I played outside her window as often as I could. I sung "You Say" for my Mom and the other residents and staff at the locked down old folks home outside her window with my busking amp and mike so as many could hear your wonderful song. It was so hard not to cry when I sung it but like the song has in it, I got strength from our Lord Jesus. Greatest news of all is my wonderful Mom has fully recovered from the corona virus. God bless you Lauren for the beautiful song and your love for the Lord. God bless

So... a few years ago I was really struggling with my mental health. One day I decided I couldn't keep fighting my own mind anymore and went to end my life, when suddenly my phone rang. At the time you say was my ring tone. I didn't answer the call because I had to listen to the song. It made me change my mind. I didn't want to kill myself anymore. So to anyone who reads this and is suicidal, go get help and keep fighting. God has amazing plans for you, maybe you don't know what they are just yet but there's am awesome plan there. You say is my anthem. I can't stop playing it. It reminds me that God is with me every step of the way. Anyways, I'm glad that you didn't get "medicated" for your gifts. America likes to "medicate" people for spiritual gifts nowadays well at least in California they do. Your song about "voices" and "every high and every low" reminded me of a lot of the psychiatric diagnoses of spirtual people like bipolar disorder and etc. Your song is healing to my soul. That I am not just a diagnosis, I'm God's child.
The first time I heard this song, I only heard part of it because the sound was down low and I was only making out certain words and I thought it was about a really bad abusive relationship... and then I started listening harder and turned up the sound because it said "YOU SAY I AM LOVED WHEN I DON'T FEEL A THING" and I thought, that makes no sense with what I was thinking and then I realized this is a prayer! What a beautiful prayer! Now it makes me cry every time I listen to it. I try to sing along but end up crying every time. It's beautiful. Thank you.

I love this song because like Lauren was saying we are always having to combat these lies that our insecurities tell us and that fear tells us. Too many times have I believed those lies or given into them but this song reminds me that God says I’m his and he says that I’m loved, special, everything to him, and worth dying for.

I played this song in the car once, both my friend and I started crying, I didn't understand why he was crying it's not often he does. He told me he knew the meaning behind the song and so it hit him in a different way than it hit me. Today curiosity struck me to find out the meaning myself and it turns out this was something I needed for myself and to better understand him. I was picked on and bullied when I was younger and because of that I've always had really bad self esteem. Even now as an adult I struggle to see myself in a positive light.
