I started noticing so many changes in our toddler this past month - she'll be 3 in 2 months. It's incredible - definitely the biggest leap since turning from baby to toddler.
We got this kit early, as soon as it was released. So we also had it for a while. I'm so glad that we got it early. She loves the house so much, we always have it out and she plays with it daily. I think they could have added a couple more accessories - I got a small wooden set from etsy with a bathtub, sink, stove, table and chair (which I labeled potty). Adding these couple things are so helpful for her to act out a routine or a situation that happened.
The emotion peg dolls are in our calm down corner. They are such a hit. Even the baby loves the happy peg - always steals it 😆 these pegs were a huge contributor to our daughter starting to process her emotions and identifying feelings. We tried a lot but these plus emotions and feelings pictures by the SkillEase brand were such a huge help and definitely reduced tantrums a lot. The books plus the playdate book are also always in the calm down corner - they all show such great examples for feelings and offer ideas. Our daughter's favorite is the "Quiet in my body" one.
I've wanted to ask for a while now how your calm down corner is going. If I remember correctly, you started it around your son's 2nd birthday, too? How is it working? Did you make any changes with time? We tired a lot and it evolved massively over the months, so I'm always interested in ideas and how it's working for others. The most important thing for our daughter compared to how it was at first, were bigger and fewer pictures. We recently added the a little spot series, which our daughter also responds very well too. So I drew the faces from the lovevery peg dolls on some of the colorful peg dolls from lovevery. She now started to be able to tell me in the moment "Red" when she gets angry - identifying being angry after it happened has been working for a while but adding colors to the feelings through the little spots books made a huge improvement for her in the moment.
Anyway, it's definitely a kit, I'd recommend to get early - it's been so helpful for us. Although, the weather board is well made, that is one aspect, where I think they could have stuck to it being a weather board and add more to the clothing aspect (what to wear based on the weather) or even the months. It all makes more sense in regards to weather. Then have something separate for days of the week. The way it is, there is just too much going on in too little space. It's close to what is available to buy anyway, so I wish they would have made it more unique.
But overall, it's been our favorite kit by far. So worth it. Funnily, when it first came out, I was just about to buy our daughter a small doll house - the one you showed here as an alternative 😉 so the release of the kit was perfect timing for us
Oh that's a good idea to find additional accessories! Although my son has been slightly more interested in just playing with cars right now he might find the pretend play a bit more engaging if there were more furniture.
My 10 month old daughter loves grabbing the emotion dolls too! It must be the fun faces on them, which definitely helps them want to learn the different emotions.
We did start around my son's 2nd birthday and like you mentioned it's constantly changing. We've found that the best way right now is for me to be like a sportscaster and acknowledge his feelings. Like saying "I see that you're disappointed that you knocked over the tower. You worked hard to build it. It's upsetting to see if fall." The books especially Lovevery's emotional books have also been great. My son still isn't too vocal yet on telling me his feelings yet though.
I agree that getting this box even a year early isn't a waste as so many of the items can be used earlier and I imagine that we'll be using many of the items for quite a bit longer. For the weatherboard I think they tried to find a middle between putting too much information and not enough information.

I don’t think there are many toys for babies and toddlers with such good resell value.
We just got our kit in July my son is obsessed w the house 🏠 he also loves the feelings characters for some reason. I haven't even tried the shoe stickers I know he won't understand then yet. The weather board is fun for him to play w too bad out temps stay super high here in Houston 😭 I want to draw a muscle shirt and shorts on the 100 degree mark lol

Haha yeah I don't think Lovevery expected such a hot summer especially for us in Houston! I've been teaching my son left and right foot when putting on his pants so he's getting a better idea and the picture helps him a bit. The emotional dolls do have some fun faces so my son likes them. My daughter also likes them too!
I only wish I had more room so that I wasn't covering up all the other pictures!

I am hoping against hope that they bring the 3-4 boxes to the UK. So far it only goes up to 36 months here. I've got a year til she's 3 so fingers crossed. I'm very excited to receive the sink box in a couple of weeks, I know it's going to be a massive hit
I imagine they eventually would bring them to the UK. I don’t see why they wouldn’t. My son still like playing with the sink over a year later!
