this map specifically haas some of the craziest games ive ever had, cause often you have to swoop in some of the craziest spots when youre not the middle in the top 4 so you can take advantage of whichever dudes self destruct
I don’t think your logic on timing attacks with the white bar holds. You say it’s best to time your attack right before your opponent gets more troops, but that’s also when you would get more troops. Also by attacking right before the troop resupply you’re taking away extra troops that you would have been able to attack with if you waited, since the amount of resupply scales with your total troop count. So you attack a slightly weaker opponent but at the cost of also making yourself weaker. By the time your attack goes off your opponent will get his resupply drop which will buffer their defense against an initially weaker attack. Plus the defensive bonus. I believe the best time to attack is right after the white bar resets
The white bar resupply scales with area, not troop count. Troop count is for the 0.5 second interest. That's why it is better to have bigger area right before the bar fills. Same with opening attacks. You hold for interest, then attack before the bar fills to get the area bonus.
@ I’m under the impression that the cap for troops scales with total area controlled, but that the resupply of troops is directly linked to total troop count. That’s why (conjecture) we appear to see players in the mid/late game who have lots of land but who overextended are easily punished when they aren’t able to build up army quickly enough to defend against attacks. It’s not just the fact that they overextend, but also the the amount of troops they used up in doing so - “interest” in this game seems like a reference to percentage of total troops rather than to pixels controlled.
The bonus is based on land held and troop count. Attacking right before the end of cycle bonus you lower your troops yes, but you also lower the person you're attacking's troops. This would mostly even out as the defender has the defensive modifier but by acquiring the extra land and denying that land bonus to the person you're attacking you come out ahead. Hope that Helps!
