@@vahngeo2260 "Not strong enough." Ya a button lock is fine. And anything crossbar is terrible due to weak springs. Crossbar is probably the only lock I don't use.
What do yall think about this Hyperpulse versus the Sentinel Strike 2? I want to get one of them for my teenage son for Christmas, but not sure which would be a better value for EDC. Looking at the Damascus version of the Hyperpulse and the Nitro V Sentinel Strike 2. Both are priced same (~$89)... Thanks.
It'a nice like all Civivis, but they have been cranking out new models so fast, I feel like it's watering down the brand. It's almost like they are using AI to design these things, as they all seem similar.
They don't need AI they have a country full of designers to steal from. China's copyright laws are not like the US, so I'm guessing that smaller companies in China have designed almost all these knives, and civivi has stolen the design and popularized 😅t
Absolutely wonderful design with a problem that reduces the value almost completely. There is no reason to buy a knife with that choil and pin placement, it's really sad.
These knife manufacturers will never understand. Never learn.. Just like the new Marten with mushrooms 🍄 growing in the shade it's a 100 knife. , plunge grinds all jacked up across the market... And the bad thing is they may do one knife perfect and the next one they screw it all up... You would think once they get a knife right they would continue to do the same positive things but no you must watch every night that comes out for tiny flaws because they don't learn from their mistakes
I don't see what the attraction is with knives that have holes in the scales. Makes 'em look like gas station knives to me. 🤷♂ I'd probably be a buyer of the Hyperpulse if it had solid scales.
Sure are alot of people getting excited over Civivi in the last year or so. For the price range of most Civivi ,you can opt for a cheaper Spyderco. Its strange how China made knives have become the standard for budget knives. Especially with increase in quality. Cheers!
Have all sorts of knives. Just can’t do Spyderco knives. Hate their blade shape. May want to get one just to say I have one but none of them interest me. 🤷🏻♂️
Qubit is in my Top 3 Civivi.
Thanks for the update
If it had Emerson wave opening technology I'd be buying it
Hyperpulse is the right size but imagine it with a cross bar lock. That’s what we need.
Whats wrong with a button lock?

The stop pin hits right behind the edge.
My wish was that it was G10 handle not aluminum.
no lol. aluminum is the best :)
@@ayobro3055aluminum is slippery as shit and gets dinged up incredibly easily. I can’t see why manufacturers use it other than aesthetic appeal.

At least when they design 10,000 of em you will find the one you like somewhere in there 😅

Ummmm.... does it also open my beer? No? TRASH!

Considering most cheaper Spyderco blades are 8cr13, it makes sense to see people excited about Civivi 😅
@@SamGrey I see your point.
The price equivalent spydercos are also manufactured in China.
