It's sad that in the beginning, almost every iPhone had a new design, and now the last 4 generations look almost the same
It's not sad, just a fact of the device maturing. Do you want them to arbitrarily change the design just for the sake of it? If so, how?

Because the iPhone has pretty much already reached perfect design.
I don’t think it’s sad. It’s a strategic move that companies make to allow for things like more time to develop a refreshed design or completely new one, a more streamlined and less wasteful process, etc.
I can see where you are coming from though.
And we still buy them 😔

Got some nostalgic feelings seeing the iPhone 4, the first one I've ever had and did I enjoy that phone?! It was a total breakthrough for me and it's crazy how technology improved in all these years.

I’ve had an iPhone 4s for exactly a decade when it was newly released and up until 2021 and let me tell you it held on.. even tho I had to change original battery at some point, but it served me well. Now I have an iphone SE 2020
Although I'm not upgrading to the iPhone 14 Pro because I already have the 13 Pro, I was hyped to see the dynamic island. To those of you who are buying, I hope you enjoy your new Phone.

@@young2256 It isn't worth upgrading from the 13 Pro to the 14 as there isn't huge improvements between those two and is more of a downgrade. I don't even *need* the 14 Pro to begin with so there isn't a point in getting things I don't need right now because money.

Everything except the last 4 was probably ready and he just added Iphone 14's
So many great memories with many of these iPhones! They went the distance for me. The best of the best were the 4, 4s, 6s, SE 1, and SE 2. SE 2 is my currently daily but all of them but the 4 I still use in some capacity to this day.
The nostalgia hit hard for me my first ever iPhone was the 4 loved that thing then made the switch to the 6 and finally made the return back to apple with the 13 earlier this year it’s amazing to see how far the iPhone has come in 15 short years

I respect your dedication to keeping this up to date. While the iPhone 14 standard model is basically the iPhone 13S/X/c/whatever, the 14 Pro looks amazing and I do like how they have taken the notch needed for FaceID and turned it into the dynamic island. That is some clever use of a cutout and I can't wait to see this trickle down over the years to the price point I can afford

My dad was still using my old 5C up until last year. When he brought it in to upgrade the kid working didn’t know what it was and couldn’t believe it was still working and he was still able to use it.

I finally got my iPhone 14 pro max and I am so excited! I had the the iPhone 12 Pro Max so it’s definitely a huge difference in the screen display. And as far as playing games on the phone that require a lot of memory this phone is by far the best at it! 🖤

The 13 mini is my favorite since the original SE. I’m a huge fan of smaller phones, I had a 7 Plus and an 11 between my original SE and 13 mini and while they were great, I was always missing my small phones. So upset they didn’t do a 14 mini, maybe they’ll bring it back at some point but for now I’ll be using my 13 Mini until I can’t anymore like I did with my SE.
So sad there isnt a 14 mini because the 13 mini’s sales weren’t high 😢

@@mirzarizwanbaig9449 iPhone has much better cameras though. The amount of zoom and MP doesn’t matter as much as how it’s optimized. Apple is very good at optimization and makes the iPhone 13 pro max’s 12MP camera blow away competitors 108MP cameras by a mile

The last design’s are so beautiful, let them keep this way!
Bezels are too big still, especially considering Apple's new darker backgrounds with iOS 16. The Earth theme just screams at the big bezels when using the menu. But i understand Apple is probably waiting for 10 more years, until the structural rigidity for materials is strong enough to give almost bezel-less design
Guys, its not sad the design doesn't change anymore like the old days. Imagine a total new design every year. Never change the winning team.
Yea we found a good design, why are we going to change a good design unless there’s actually a better design?
Its also a matter of what could they even change it to? These days people want as much of their phone to be useful, so its always a race to get the highest screen %. The best they can do is shave off some bezels here and there.

@@twhylerm Well, there's obviously going to be spec bumps each generation, for example A15 -> A16 and 12MP Main Camera -> 48MP, so not making another phone will leave them a generation behind the competition.
@@Renovqte I think the real reason is to get people hyped and buy products that they don’t need so they can make money. A 10% better camera is not “innovation”.

i honestly love this iPhone, i think its amazing, i love their new front screen design, finally they upgraded the camera, the new chip, the new safety features which are just amazing and im sure will save many lives, and pretty much everything about the new iphone...

I wanted to get it as my new phone but not having a physical SIM card is a deal breaker so I'm going to have to go with the 13.

Had the 4s, 5, 6s plus, 7, XR, 11 pro, 12, and finally 13 mini. Overall favorite is the 13 mini and I plan to hang onto it as long as possible. I do miss the rounded design though.

Same, when I was 5-7 I had the 4 I miss it so much!!
At first the iPhone was a revolutionary product, basically the same thing whit less or more storage, that was the main difference just like iPods. Now 15 years and 37 phones later you have 4 different models of one single generation (the one that fits on your palm, the one that makes your hand looks big, and two ridiculously big that can’t handle in one single hand), with 3 different storage possibilities. That’s a huge marketing success, and the next year they make you wish the new model despite its the same thing that you already own from the prev year
If you look it trough carefully you will notice the differences, and it does fit in one hand although it’s slow to use it that way
I bought my current iPhone (the XR) right when it came out in 2018. Still working perfectly except the battery is shot which isn’t surprising after 4 continuous years of use. I’m quite impressed with how well it’s held up. Anyone else?
I just switched to the 14 pro max from the XR. It's going to someone else in the family and I'm going to miss it. The XR is still pretty amazing. Dropped it 3 times from waist height on hard surface and still works fine but all were indoors. XR is probably one of the most durable smartphones out there. Battery is still at 82% and I've had it since start of 2019.
Impressive! The iphone XR has a very good build! I currently have an iphone 11 and it work very well!

I still using the 11 Pro Max, for me the best looking notch era iPhone, planning to upgrade to the 14 Pro Max.
Honestly, I would have liked to see them maintain the notch design only to jump directly to an under-display camera once the tech got good enough for Apple. I personally don't like hole punch cameras but am excited to see the dynamic island and hope it would make the hole punch less visible.
I think the dynamic island and hole punch looks cool.
Isn't iconic and recognisable, which is one of apples main selling point.

Could you explain why my clipboard gets randomly deleted? I have the iPhone 13 but it did the same thing on iPhone 11. Is this just an iOS feature? I thought maybe it was because I switched apps or maybe it’s on a timer or something but from my observations over the past few years I feel like there’s no rhyme or reason. I can copy something to the clipboard and then I go to a different application to paste it and it’s just gone. Is it due to the low ram or what’s happening
I’ve got myself the iPhone 13 mini 512GB in starlight ⭐️😍 and I absolutely love it 🥰 to be able to use my phone one-handed and to fit in my pocket, for me that’s the number one purpose of a cellphone. And the 5.4-inch screen isn’t small at all. I’ve also got the iPad mini 6 256GB to go along with it and I couldn’t be more happy about this combination 😍

My very 1st iPhone was 5c in blue. It was a good one for a little bit over 3 years that I upgraded towards iPhone 8 in silver. I still have it as backup towards my SE 2 in white. Just in case something went wrong on the SE. My next iPhone will be iPhone 14 in purple. If the place ran out of that color that I will get the blue one.

Hello. I’m new here. And my history with iPhones have been a hit or miss, but I still like the brand. My sister and I shared an iPhone 4s. My first real iPhone was the 6s, following with the 8, then with the Xs, and now the 13.
My first iPhone was the 6s back in mid May of 2018. Until mid May of 2018, it was the iPhone 8 Plus. I still have both phones. I have my 6s for nostalgic reasons and for very sporadic uses.
I still use my 8 Plus but I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 since early January of this year.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to upgrade but I will stick with these devices.
The 2022 Realme GT Neo 3 straight from China $400 with latest Android 14 firmware and regular security updates. That's not all 😂 charges from 1% to 100% in under 50 min (overshot) with its 150w charging speed (not a fire hazard) 😭 Android forever 👑
I just bought the 14 Pro! Tim Cook would be Proud and I bet Steve Jobs is looking down at me from heaven saying “Well Done”

It’s NOT sad for me, iPhone X to 13 has a notch, but why iPhone 14 Pro Models have a Dynamic Island? I give you Reasons:
The First iPhone to iPhone 8 has a Home Button, and iPhone X to 13 has a Notch, not Home Button.
iPhone 12 Sides have squared. they don’t know, instead, they ask me to make iPhones out of Paper or Cardboard.

The very first iPhone I had was the iPhone 8, and I was very happy, it did glitch many times with the button for home not being able to be pressed, then I now have the iPhone XR, where I don’t even need a button!!

Series 5 hands down best looking ever. Also my first one.
From 5 went to 7, from 7 to 11, from 11 to 13. Next stop: series 15 ultra.
iPhone 4 was my first one and then I went with Samsung. Now I got the 14 Plus and it’s a trip seeing all the changes.
I'm genuinely surprised to know first iPhone had 1400mAh battery, that's like saying 9000mAh in 2022 by the standards back then.
Did you also notice how the iPhone after that had actually less battery capacity?

@@realracer0353 it was also way cheaper i guess lol, im still searching for a iphone 2g, i collect older apple iphones and ipods and have alot of 3g/gs and aloot of 4,5,6 etc. Too bad alot of iphones cant be used ever again if owners leave icloud lock when they donate there phones into goodwill and such, wish they had features to find old owner to give it back to them if lost or ask them to unlock like they did back then. Now they try to get you to buy new new new new

I really like the iPhone XS and XR, they are my favorite in terms of design personally. The XS design seemed like the last design that was reminiscent of the Steve Jobs era
