Honestly, I usually announce myself when I enter the room. I've startled Loki a time or two coming back from the restroom while he was cleaning and he didn't notice me until he looks up. I usually tell him when I'm leaving the room and ask that he not get into trouble. I don't know why, really.
Thank you very much for this informative video . It really helped me begin to understand our world from my buns' perspective better and how to help him feel happy and secure. I have been looking forward you releasing a video on this topic. Rabbits are so specialist, it can be difficult to find reliable , unique & practical information such as this to help me improve my bun's quality of life. This is fabulous. THANK YOU x
Awesome video for the topic! Doing an arthritis video might be helpful for some. When my bun was arthritic I didn't know or understand what to look for. Now that she has passed I know what to expect as my other buns age.
I just found a rabbit outside about 5 hours ago and I don't know what to do it can get back to its fammily I know how many siblings it have cause they live under my house 3 babies 3 teens and 2 parents
I feel like ever since my rabbit went blind, i just see that she is breathing faster alot especially when she is running around trying to navigate, and i just never knew if that is normal of if I should be worried.
Thank you for this video 😊. Always get rabbit's eyes checked by a vet, a cloudy eye can indicate glaucoma and is very painful. One of my rabbits has had one eye removed due to glaucoma and is getting cataracts in his other eye, thanks for the ideas so that I can keep him occupied!
My 8 1/2 year old 3 1/2 mix rabbit is blind from cataracts. The cataracts came on quite quickly - a few weeks. I never move anything, but he bumps into things all the time, the same stuff over-and-over. His bounded pair died last month, and I think his buddy really helped out, as he would just follow him. I'm thinking of trying to pair him up with another elderly rabbit, if possible. I try to give him more attention, but he is so lonely. He cleans his stuffed toys all the time. He even thought a pillow was another rabbit and started cleaning it. Is it harder or older to bound an old, blind rabbit?
Do you or Anyone else has tips for how to deal with the loss of a bunny. I have a really hard time right now. And a lot of people don’t understand because they think its just a bunny. Thats What makes it even harder for my cause no one Can relate or understand.
I will tell you it's not easy. I lost my baby back in July. And anyone that thinks it's "just" a rabbit has never had a connection with one. They are extremely smart beings that are very interactive with their human friends.
Idk if it’ll necessarily help deal with the loss of a bunny but I recommend the video by Lennon the bunny, “signs ur rabbit is dying.” I only mention that because I saw a lot of the people in the comments talk about their bunny loss. Which I think can be cathartic and maybe a space where you can talk more about it if you want. Ofc, you know yourself better on the internet, def better than some internet stranger, so do not watch if you know you won’t be comfortable with that topic. That said, I recommend going thru the comments just to see that there are other people who have/are experiencing the same pain Losing a pet is, imo, one of the hardest and most painful experiences to go through, you have my condolences and I hoped this helped
Oh, how my heart feels so deeply saddened by hearing you're experiencing similar problems as I do with my recent loss. My bunny was my everything since I do not have kiddos or a partner of my own; my emotional support animal. Let me tell you, it hasn't gotten easier and I don't expect it to at this point. However, I think I'm learning how to just function with that sadness. I always hear, "time will heal. You'll see things differently soon." or "you can always get another bunny..." and it's just not the case. I still cry if I see photos or videos of my boy and still dream almost daily that he is here. Here is what I have been doing: 1) Keeping myself busy as much as possible. Any extra jobs I can take on or projects, I try to do it. 2) When I have down time, I use Instagram and go on my bunny's account and I blog about his most amazing moments or stories I want to share. I am terrified that I am forgetting things each day that passes of him, so I want to preserve it as much as possible. 3) I tell my closest friends when I am sad or happy and they listen. Sometime I just need someone to listen. I made SO many amazing friends on Instagram that are bunny or animal lovers and they are SO compassionate and will always give you the time of day to hear you out. 4) I try to do something in memory of my boy. One thing was making a little shrine dedicated to him. I have his hand-made urn, a flower pot, a candle, and a hand-made photo frame. I light the candle when I am home to let him "find his way home." I also have started making rabbit snuffle mats or try to volunteer my time and information to new bunny owners... things that can help the future of bunnies everywhere. I hope that helps give you some different ideas. It is hard... and I know my heart will never heal with this loss, but I am learning how to function with this new life. CRY when you need to cry! It is okay. It was an honor that your bunny was in your life and gave you SUCH happiness. I hope your journey through this new step in life comes to ease soon. Take care!!
great ideas for a topic that's much overlooked I'm sure. Amazing how many rabbit do develop cataract's during the course of their lifetime.
Probs cause they aren't designed to live long

I adopt a partially blind bunny yesterday 🤩
Have a great run

My rabbit is only 3 and blind after a UTI
Blind after a uti how that’s a urinary tract infection and had nothing to do with eyes
