You can reset your phone and go through the process again, but as soon as you connect to Wi-Fi, get to UA-cam as soon as you can before it updates, or for the best luck try purposely connecting to a slow Wi-Fi network (around 1mbps down maybe) like maybe a hotspot if it's throttled by the carrier]_ ▶ *The biggest problem people seem to be having is it asking for the previous owners information. Restarting the phone should fix it.* Here's some other solutions... Can't open file/no download button solution: Make sure both of the files are downloaded before you do this... Step 1: Search for Google Maps in Chrome and tap on the first link. It should open the app. Step 2: Tap menu, then tap on Start Driving and tap OK if a message shows talking about your location. Step 3: Tap the Voice Command button (the microphone) and say "Open File Manager" then it should open the file manager. Step 4: Tap the yellow/orange downloads button, tap download, then follow the video from the part where you got stuck (on the file manager) You should be good to go.
I just want to say that as of July 2022, I researched several videos and have been trying to break this phone that I bought from Goodwill 2 years ago. After coming to this video I thought that it would not work. It worked with a few hiccups but I mean you just think on what to try. To get around the update just scroll down and click on the join the community link and it takes you directly to google. Then from there you just follow along and everything goes great. Be sure to accept that you are the one accessing you google account. Everything works great and I will be saving you website for any future use if I end up with something google locked. Could you please help me ? I've been trying to bypass Google lock on my daughters tcl from tracfone and I've found a few videos but yours is by far the most in depth, you know what you are doing. I can get to the list where it has developer settings but this phone doesn't have a help & feedback option. Am I doing something wrong ? Hope you respond. If you do I could send you a pic of it too. For those who receive an UA-cam update the only thing you need to do is take another phone and a micro sd card then download the latest version of UA-cam apk at the moment then move it to the sd card when is done take off the sd card and put it in on the phone you’re trying to bypass then go to settings>storage, enter on the sd card and find the apk and install it, after that continue with the video. I hope was useful :)
Brian Valdez when you turn on talkback and make the “L” gesture Go on text to speech settings Then press volume up and down at the same time for a couple of seconds this turn off talkback, now slide from left to right, at this moment u gonna see a menu go to storage then you will see the sd in here

Followed the steps till the end, after all set it says adding finishing touches and then it fails. it won't let me get to home screen. "Error Not Signed In .. To use this phone you first have to sign in to owner's google account in use on this phone when it was last reset". help!!!!
i did all the steps to unlock it and i was getting the couldnt finish setup because it wanted me to enter in the google info of the account when it was reset.. ive been playing with it for hours and i ended up unlocking it. after downloading quick shortcut maker i used that to get to the launcher and from there i went in and went to the apps and went to google play services and deleted all the data. then i unchecked the device administrator for find my device(not sure if that even matters). Then I installed the google play services then the launch google settings. I did the copy google account from my second device then after that i reset the phone and continued setup as new device. went through with no problems and is now unlocked. hope this helps
I’m not sure how to get my other device too find the z982(476) I don’t know who’s email was ever on the device so how will it find it? Can’t I just sign in instead of all this??
Just wanted to say thanks... I've had an old ZTE tracfone wasting away in a drawer, and all I wanted to use it for was run some music apps. Even though this process felt like jumping through seven hoops of fire (not counting the five times I had to start over with a hard reset because I messed something up), I finally got through it and kicked the old, lost Google account out of the way and now the phone is actually useful again !!

On my zte300 I could not back page after setting the wifi on. (Must be a recent attempt at fixing the software) I just played with it and came up with a whole new way to bypass frp. After I eventually got it on chrome I did however go to Lattrell Jennings and your downloads R still doin it! That phones mine now!!

I'm having issues trying to bypass the frp lock on my ZTE z986u. Ovr watched your UA-cam video like a hundred times n I get all the way up to where I have to install the google play settings and then launch until it pops up saying there's a problem with Google drive, I can either close or report. I clicked close n figured I would at least try to finish the steps (even though I knew it wasn't gonna work) after I did the launch, I clicked the settings, show debug items, but when I scroll down for smartdevice target flow, I click on it n nothing will happen. Can you help me please?? I have the zte z986u. I've tried a few different ways by watching videos as well surfing the web & yours has been the only one to get me this far so I'm hoping you know where I did wrong and can help me figure it out.

It seems it did everything except the last step and didn't copy from my other device. Now it says the account is already added, but says "not signed in" but won't bring up a Google sign in anymore. I restarted the device, changed nothing and it worked. Very weird. But salute man, your video was the only one or of 50 that worked. Plus no one has these old phones anymore, I decided to use this one to take pictures at job sites, but what a headache. Now androids are becoming more like iphones (headache wise).

Okay I am going to try this method. Though I am thinking about inserting SD card restarting the phone and going to factory data reset/reboot option and VOL key down to "apply from SD CARD". Fingers crossed hope it works I'll let y'all know.

HELP... I let my now X use my ZTE phone and he factory reset it. And then put his info in it. Well now I have my phone back and I can't do anything with it because every time I factory reset it again it's asking you for his info. I want my phone back in working order. Any ideas on how I can do this? I tried to follow your video but got lost.... the phone in question is a ZTE blade Z Max from Boost Mobile. It's not hooked up to a carrier I turned off the service I'm not going to turn the service back on unless I can get the phone to work. So I'm running it through my home Wi-Fi. I get all the way up to where it connects to the Wi-Fi and then it says checking info and it wants his information it said this device was synced put in the email and password previously synced to the phone. That's his information for so I don't know it and I'm not going to Ask him because I want the phone to being back in my information I don't even know how he got it to being his info in the first place. He's really smart when it comes to these kinds of things I'm not what you call a hundred percent tech savvy. So please help??!!🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have been following your tutorials so I know it works and thank you for that however I am trying to bypass the frp on my zte Z982 and it's telling me feedback is paused so TalkBack is unavailable, do I need to do a hard reset for that to turn off?

Hey so I just posted a comment on your newest video. I just tried to unlock this ZTE again and am getting looped at the end. I back all the way out to the Welcome screen>LET'S GO>Select WiFi Network>Add as New>Accounts Added to >Getting account info>Protect your phone>Meet Your Google Assistant>Anything Else>All Set> Accelerated Location>Not Signed In>Set up phone>Welcome to your Z557BL Copy your data (only option) and it loops from there no matter what options I choose
On a "ZTE BLADE A521" I couldn't enable TalkBack but instead got access to Chrome by holding the home button until the Google app launched and then searched "UA-cam Google", went in there and then to their About section and carried on with your video's instructions. Cheers!
May 2nd, 2020. This method STILL WORKS. However. It will ask you for “previous owners information.” As Latrell said, just reset the phone and it will bypass that setting as well! Thank you so much for the video it worked perfectly!

It worked. I tried synching with one LG phone, but it failed. I used another one and it succeeded in transferring data. I then did a factory reset and it's no longer Google locked. Thanks for making this video.

OMG This worked 10.29.18/7.1.1. I have so many Blades that were collecting dust, now i can used them. For the people getting the message about "not having signed in with the owners email" just hold the power button and restart the phone, once it comes back on, just press copy data, and sign in again. Went through every step you did in the video. After my google account was put onto the phone. Did another factory reset and then tried to logon and the phone still said "to continue sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device" is there anything else I can do??
I just thought of something that may solve everyones problem with the final moments resulting in failure. So, at the screen where it shows that your account has been successfully added to the device, Try pulling the power from the router that both phones are connected to. This may allow you to bypass the connection to Googles account services to verify, simply because the device previously believed that the correct account was added. Worth a shot at this point.

Hi latrell I don't understand why I can't get it if everything worked out except I could not download easily but found another way and then I could not finish the last part which was to finalized by transfering to the other phone at the end! what can you suggest I spent all day yesterday trying to finalize know I don't know what to do? I am stuck at 6:50, when i try to sign in with the gmail, it says "The password you gave is incorrect" when in fact the password is 100% correct and signed in to the other phone :( any suggestion ?
After I copy everything, it doesn't give me the option to input my password etc like it did for you. Did it just pop up or did you have to go to a different page?

Reset it by the recovery and try using another Google account

Okay I am going to try this method. Though I am thinking about inserting SD card restarting the phone and going to factory data reset/reboot option and VOL key down to "apply from SD CARD". Fingers crossed hope it works I'll let y'all know.

Yes, I have the February security patch as well and it did not work. At the very last step it says the phone has not been set up with an email and takes me back

HELP... I let my now X use my ZTE phone and he factory reset it. And then put his info in it. Well now I have my phone back and I can't do anything with it because every time I factory reset it again it's asking you for his info. I want my phone back in working order. Any ideas on how I can do this? I tried to follow your video but got lost.... the phone in question is a ZTE blade Z Max from Boost Mobile. It's not hooked up to a carrier I turned off the service I'm not going to turn the service back on unless I can get the phone to work. So I'm running it through my home Wi-Fi. I get all the way up to where it connects to the Wi-Fi and then it says checking info and it wants his information it said this device was synced put in the email and password previously synced to the phone. That's his information for so I don't know it and I'm not going to Ask him because I want the phone to being back in my information I don't even know how he got it to being his info in the first place. He's really smart when it comes to these kinds of things I'm not what you call a hundred percent tech savvy. So please help??!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

Try a regular restart first. If that doesn't work reset it.

Hey so I just posted a comment on your newest video. I just tried to unlock this ZTE again and am getting looped at the end. I back all the way out to the Welcome screen>LET'S GO>Select WiFi Network>Add as New>Accounts Added to >Getting account info>Protect your phone>Meet Your Google Assistant>Anything Else>All Set> Accelerated Location>Not Signed In>Set up phone>Welcome to your Z557BL Copy your data (only option) and it loops from there no matter what options I choose

On a "ZTE BLADE A521" I couldn't enable TalkBack but instead got access to Chrome by holding the home button until the Google app launched and then searched "UA-cam Google", went in there and then to their About section and carried on with your video's instructions. Cheers!

May 2nd, 2020. This method STILL WORKS. However. It will ask you for “previous owners information.” As Latrell said, just reset the phone and it will bypass that setting as well! Thank you so much for the video it worked perfectly!

I had to do this, because it went back to the start. "The biggest problem people seem to be having is it asking for the previous owners information. Restarting the phone should fix it." after restart i did a few same steps and then it went to the main screen.. Yay! Thanks!

It worked. I tried synching with one LG phone, but it failed. I used another one and it succeeded in transferring data. I then did a factory reset and it's no longer Google locked. Thanks for making this video.

So I've had to push through an deal with it till I got to your page. Because I'm still stuck in TalkBack mode, I can't access you drop menu on your homepage. Is there a direct link?
Nvm my guy, got it figured out. I was afraid I'd have to start all over if I clicked on TalkBack settings in the tb sub menu. We good haha.

OMG This worked 10.29.18/7.1.1. I have so many Blades that were collecting dust, now i can used them. For the people getting the message about "not having signed in with the owners email" just hold the power button and restart the phone, once it comes back on, just press copy data, and sign in again. Went through every step you did in the video. After my google account was put onto the phone. Did another factory reset and then tried to logon and the phone still said "to continue sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device" is there anything else I can do??

I just thought of something that may solve everyones problem with the final moments resulting in failure. So, at the screen where it shows that your account has been successfully added to the device, Try pulling the power from the router that both phones are connected to. This may allow you to bypass the connection to Googles account services to verify, simply because the device previously believed that the correct account was added. Worth a shot at this point.

Awesome video. Just like every one else, I watched a million videos before this one and none of them worked. Finally got my phone to work! FYI maybe go a little slower, had to pause like every few seconds to catch up.
That was the intention to just have people pause the video while I go through this, otherwise people would say I talk too slow.
