Jeff Jarrett is a wholesome person. I love how passionate he is when talking about his friendship with Owen Hart and his family. Dude has my absolute respect.

I'd always kinda thought of him as a bit carny but this has really changed my opinion on him. I always thought he was a good wrestler but this proves that he's also a good person as well.

I remember when Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart were tag team champions. It's great that he's still there for the Hart family.
Yes, they wrestled together, they travelled together. This hit every Wrestling fan hard when Owen died 25 Years ago at WWF Over The Edge Pay Per View at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. It was unfathomable that this could and did happen. It chokes me up and I almost want to cry as well.

44 over here and been a wrestling fan for 35 years. This definitely got me choked up. You can just see the love Jeff had for Owen.

I was working in Calgary when he passed. I remember the restaurant was showing the PPV... and the people watching it all stopped doing what they were doing.... the disbelief coming from the back of the kitchen as we had no idea and had to take the words of the servers... then hearing the radio announcing that he had a tragic accident.
Still feels like yesterday even though it was 25 years ago....
Owen (and the rest of the Hart family) are so proud, especially Jeff Jarrett's passion for his fallen brother!

The last championship that Owen Hart held was the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1999 with Jeff Jarrett, and those two got close, after Jeff Jarrett won his 4th Intercontinental Title in 1999 he tributed that win to Owen Hart, and its wonderful that Double J hasn't forgotten his friend 25 years later.
I have a lot of respect for Jeff Jarrett not afraid to show his emotions and cry
I remember May 24th 1999 like it was yesterday, Jeff Jarrett on the Raw is Owen tribute show telling everyone that he would make sure nobody forgot Owen and that he would always be there for Oje and Athena. Well, 25 years later here we are. JJ is a man of his word and he's doing Owen's legacy proud.

The best promo Jeff Jarrett ever delivered. No teleprompter. No script. He shares his feelings about Owen Hart and being in the tournament with his heart. I don't care if he's a hero or heel, thank you Jeff for sharing your true thoughts about Owen with his wife and son. The promo was emotional. Jeff lost a great opponent and friend in 1999. It's deserving that he's a participant to not only represent himself and his teamates, but for Owen's family.
He even pronounced Calgary properly! That’s rare even for non Albertan Canadians.

The nearest weekend to May 23, I always sit down, have a few bowls & watch my favourite Owen Hart matches & interviews. Including the Owen Hart Memorial RAW.
I have them all on two vhs tapes & it’s the main reason I still have a vcr connected to my tv.
I remember on the day that Owen died when I was watching the pay per view, and I have to say that Jeff is the real one. I was 10 years old when that happened. RIPower Owen.

I miss Owen alot if he was still on this earth his career would've been recharged. I'm not crying you are. The Vignette that Jeff did at the beginning of this tournament of Owen was definitely heartbreaking and honest. This video with Jeff and Martha is definitely the real side of the wrestling business that makes me love it more and more. At 43 years old growing up watching Owen,Bret,Taker,Jeff,Jake,DDP,Yokosuna,Billy Gunn,Road Dogg, Hogan,Randy, Ricky,Flair,Sting. Just made me realize that AEW shows the true human side to these " Characters" I grew up watching Monday,Friday, and Saturday watching as a kid to now watching made me realize, yes these guys and gals are Superstars but they are human beings as well. Thank you Tony Khan for allowing the truth to be seen.
Owen's legacy will NEVER fade. Till THIS DAY! One of the best to ever set foot in the squared circle.

All kidding aside though, this interview and the tournament were a beautiful tribute to Owen Hart and if Jeff couldn't win Bryan Danielson was definitely the next best choice to win it and I'm hoping he goes on now to win the world 🌎 title at Wembley at All In!

Outside of his early Memphis days, Jarrett has almost always played the heel… and I think fans often associate that as his true character. I’m glad the tourney and these interviews let the public behind the curtain into what sort of man Jeff Jarrett is and hopefully they can recognize the many contributions he’s made behind the scenes as well.

I can tell up in heaven, Owen Hart is gotta be feeling happy for looking down at Jeff Jarrett and feeling a moment and gotta be feeling proud of as a friend and tag team partner Jeff was back in the attitude era before Owen died. It's a shame that I didn't know anything about Owen Hart for like a month or so either before or after he died back in 1999. At least it's nice to see double J have a special moment with oje and Martha.
This year's Owen feels like it has much more prestige. Jarrett's emotional investment in it has been a MASSIVE reason.
