The gtst is great Still gets almost the same attention as the gtr for half the price and it’s just as fun to drive! They aren’t fast but it is a damn good drivers car
Wouldn’t it be easy to do an awd conversion anyway? Also to be fair the gtst models where improved in the r33 there is a gts25t type m.

If your on a budget buy a gtst. If you want the king of JDM with no compromises buy a gtr. Sometimes I regret selling mine.

i know this was 2 years ago but king of jdm? thats arguable... tied in the top 3 absolutely but its not the undisputed king there is easily 2-3 others that tie for that spot... id argue the 2JZ mark IV and the FD3S... the GTR is amazing no doubt but the FD3S is touted as having the best out the gate handling of any JDM car and as far as performance goes ill line up a well tuned and well taken care of mark IV against a GTR any day of the week.. i sound like a fanboy but for the record Godzilla is my favorite JDM car period.. but being unbiased the 2JZ mark IV and the FD3S stand toe to toe with it for king of the mountain

I'm looking into buying a GTST within the next few months mainly because of costs. In Australia a gtst can range from 7k-15k depending on mileage, condition and model. But the GTRs here can range from 30k-60k and in Australia its just really not worth it. Same as the Supras, the N/A Supras here cost between 10k-20k and the turbo supras between 30k-50k. which is absolute bullshit imo.
Gtst in the us are usually 14k-34k 🥲

Yeah but you would need a new trans, axles, diff, etc. plus the motor itself, it would be more cost effective to just get a gtr

I own a R33 GTST.... have to be honest, I would of bought the GTR all day long.. if I had the extra £25k needed in the UK to do it. Love my Type M spec 2 R33 thou. 😊👍🏻
How good is it to drive?
Don’t let the name discourage you. Just cause it’s not a GTR. Doesn’t mean it can’t preform like one. And plus no one really cares about what car u drive
If a awd transmission is important you can swap in the NEO awd rb25det transmission in .
Reasons to buy a gtst over a gtr:
1) it’s cheaper
No there’s nothing else u should’ve known that before u clicked read more
so a gtst basically a weak/cheap gtr that you can easily tune to the power of a gtr and has RWD. well that settles it

You can’t really compare the two, different cars built for different purposes. I’ve owned gtst’s and currently own a 33 gtr, sure the gtst’s where nice cars to drive fairly easy and willing to slide about, but it’s not touching a gtr when it comes to grip and the cars abilities. There is a reason they are almost double the price in a gtr the car really feels special with lots of pedigree

Let's be real, maybe when they were first released there might've not been much of a decision whether you bought a GTS-T or GTR. Just like now if you were to compare a Mustang 2.8L and Mustang GT 5.0L, there's probably not much fuss there and pretty much the market's saturated with both. However nowadays why the fck would you want to buy a GTS-T if money was not a factor. They are over 25yrs old and are now classified as classic cars. I don't think anyone would even consider these cars if they weren't car enthusiasts or collectors, and on that note the GTR has more value considering it's history and heritage.

You could’ve made this video a lot better by going into the details and how the car handles without the front differential in front weight or the differences in balance through being able to pick wider tires in the rear in skinnier in the front

I found one GTS25T The Price is 32k US price and the miles is 18k miles …I’m not sure if it’s expensive or not

The only reason not to get a gtr is if you don't have the cash its like buying a 6 cylinder Camaro instead of a ss also who buys a 25k gtr for a drift car lol you can get a rough on for less than 1/2 that i got a super clean gtr with hks upgraded turbos hks suspension tomei cams for less than 25k
Can I ask how? Importers I find seem to be charging a heck of a lot more than 25k.
@@ignignxkt i got my r32 gtr for 26k no rust at all with hks turbo upgrade and hks coil overs perfect interior minus 1 small cigarette burn in the back seat in 2016
