Another hack for socks, especially baby/kid socks- put a mesh zipper laundry bag next to the hamper and put all the socks in it! Wash and dry them in the bag, no more missing socks!
Yes! I do a bag for socks and another one for underwear, and it saves so much time with sorting after drying. Mine bags all have different colors, so if my bf is changing the laundry and I have something delicate in a bag, I'll just tell him what color zipper he needs to remove before drying.
The brush is for cleaning out the lint catch area on the dryer! Remove the lint catch and stick the brush down there to get the lint that remains and collects in the vent!
@@vasseurbeauty Yes it is a lint brush! For some reason they bent it it's suppose to straight! I thought I would just let you know all you have to do is straighten it out. You can also use it to clean out the back part of the dryer where the dryer vents out and the hose if it metal if you have the aluminum foil hose I wouldn't use do it because you could accidentally put a hole in it.
My dryer balls live in the dryer, part time in the laundry basket. 🤣 My favorite mom laundry hack: each kid gets their own laundry basket, each kids clothes it's its own load of laundry. Don't mix their clothes, then you won't have to sort them after. 👏🏻
That giant brush is actually for cleaning inside where the lint trap screen thing goes. Makes it easier to clean deep down inside plus you can use it to clean out lint from the hole/vent on bottom back of dryer.
@@tourmii after I use the brush I use duct tape and either an empty paper towel roll or gift wrap roll (cut down) as a diy vacuum attachment lol. It's a little tedious but it does work
I use the collapsible baskets in my car to carry in groceries. When done I push them down. Makes it so much easier carrying in a lot of bags by yourself
I love that idea! I just have an extra laundry basket that I don't really have a good place to store. I'm taking it to my car today! Thanks for the awesome tip!
Who ever known that watching a video about organizing your laundry room could be so exciting! Thoroughly enjoyed this video and will definitely utilize some of the tips you provided. Many Thanks for sharing 🙏
Been doing laundry for 55 yrs & have never lost a sock. Ever think they never made it to the hamper....I always make sure there are pairs before I wash. Great video!!!
The huge “spoolie brush” is to clean out the lint deep down in the dryer! You know, the extra that gathers in down inside when you pull the lint catcher out. I have one (not as cool as that one!) and I use it constantly!!
I just started watching your videos today and I am obsessed. I just can't stop watching them. You give such amazing tips and whatnot and it's really just satisfying. An you're also very beautiful.
Using dryer sheets/fabric softener with towels reduces their absorbency. They leave a film on the surface of the towels making them not soak up as much water. I stopped buying dryer sheets/fabric softener years ago. We haven’t missed them.
I don't use fabric softener, but I do use Bounce dryer sheets bc I can't stand my towels being super static. I only use half a sheet per load, and it doesn't seem to affect the absorbency.
Yass I love laundry videos! I love doing laundry lol and I LOVE my matching washer and dryer set! In New Zealand it's not common for everyone to have a dryer, but as I live with CFS, I have to have one, and I use it year-round. I love cleaning my machines and organizing my laundry so it looks pretty and tidy. The best thing I have bought for my laundry is the 3 matching, wire, cloth lined hampers, 1 in the bathroom upstairs to catch-all, and 2 in the laundry room to separate linens from clothes. I also have a pretty little wire, cloth lined basket on my dryer for cleaning cloths and dish towels My favourite hack ever is hanging wet, dirty items over the side of the hamper to dry before they go in. Life changer! No more mold or mildew! I also rinse and dry everything that's soiled before they go in the hamper too. I have big machines, and I'll do small loads (whites especially) if I have to, but being just me and 2 kids, I only do laundry once or twice a week, so some items can be sitting there for several days before they get washed, and we all know that's long enough to grow a colony of mold spores. Also, keeping my washing machine clean, and dry, makes a huge difference, I've never had to strip my towels, they always stay fresh, fluffy, and super absorbent. That's another "hack" that I love, not using fabric conditioner or anything smelly on towels, just the regular amount of scent and dye free liquid, sanitizer in the rinse, and the 60°C heavy wash is all it takes for the most lovliest smelling and feeling towels! I could talk about laundry all day 😆
Very nice to watch! I wish I had a laundry room! We have a small California house. The washer and dryer are in the garage. A plus side of having it in the garage is that I can keep the drying rack up all the time. Love Ryan!
I loved the tip about upgrading your laundry room light fixture. I wouldn't have thought about doing that so thank you. Heading to Home Depot today to find a new one!
The little clip for the microfiber towel thou 😍 QUICK TIP: the lint can be used as a fire starter when camping or just making a fire at home to roast marshmallows 🥰🥰
Lol I love your dedication. My infant is crying and just not sleeping tonight and I need something to calm me down so your videos are important. I'm going to lose my mind over here.
I just bought the 4000 version of your washer and dryer! I cannot wait! Plus I'm going to be using some of these ideas!! Thanks for all your hard work with all of your videos!
Speaking of laundry rooms.. when I moved into a new home last Jan, I bought the same washer and dryer combo as you after seeing your video. The sidekick has come in so handy and I love the washer and dryer. Thank you! Now to put some organization to it :)
Brittany you always have the absolute best ideas and hacks thought I stepped up my game with the glass jars! But they don’t have labels I need these!! Great video!
I love your organization hacks although I'm wanting to switch to more natural options. It's so hard to replace bleach though. At last if I can get mostly natural I'd be happy. :) I love the natural laundry balls and the glass jar organization and the magnetic lint bin is so so stylish and such a great idea!! So pretty!
“Welcome to the good life! First, bourgeois laundry detergent! Next, you’ll be with me on my yacht headed to Abeva!” 🤣 (Omg, what is Abeva? 🤷♀️ 🤣) Then he goes from prancing in a meadow to being infiltrated by stinky shoe! 🤣🤣🤣
Lol 😂 Hey Brittany thank you for making my day love this video. Omg the animal dryer balls are so adorable. I bought the cart on wheels for my mother and she loved it thank you so much for the recommendation from your previous laundry video your the best.
So many of your recommendations are in my Amazon wish list now! I think that massive spooly brush is to clean the lint vent after you pull the trap out. It's amazing what the trap doesn't catch! Love your vids!
Love your channel. Appreciate the research you put into your recommendations. I usually apply at least one of your tips from each of your posts and have purchased many of your recommended products.
I love the Diva detergent! Thank you for sharing that! My linens smell soooo good. Well now EVERYTHING smells good. I’ve ordered multiple times. Just ordered BIG bottle yesterday. ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Brittany! I wanted to make a quick comment, which is not related to this video, but the video where you were answering people's questions. Specifically, you shared that you got offended by someone who wrote to you that you should get a real job and then complain about not having time to manage your household...or something along those lines. That would offend me too. Clearly, that person doesn't have any idea how much planning actually goes into all these videos pre-production and then things you have to do post-production. Sometimes when I watch your videos, I think to myself, "When does this girl rest? How in the world could she come up with 20+ tips?" Thanks for all your videos you upload. It's fun to watch them. And I love your bright personality :-)
First of all, you and Ryan are so stinkin cute. You just fit so well together and are great at making videos. On a different note, I wish my laundry room looked like yours. Mine has dirty industrial carpet on it that I have wanted to remove since we bought the house 2 yrs ago, but my husband wouldn't let me, even though it doesn't fully cover all of the floor. Second, it was never finished, but the gyprock that was put up was scrap pieces and unfinished corners. And it is in the basement, so it has a ledge around the 2 external walls that never had any cover piece put over them and just collected dirt over the years. I will eventually get that room done and cleaned. I am totally ordering that magnetic set and thinking about the holder for the detergent jug. Two things that would neaten at least my drier top. Lol. I love all of these ideas and when I get my dream laundry room, then I will be using more of then for sure.

My daughters (14, 11 & 9yrs old) love your videos, thanks for your dedication when making your videos!!!
