- In lieu of a crafting video today, I will be going live from the dead space with a Fuse Foiling System update, and I'll be here to answer some questions about foiling too!

Aloha Gina! I'm so sorry folks were upset and said some mean things about you on your pages. I have found you to be so kind and empathetic, creative and giving. You always always provide high quality, useful products that last for a long time. You have never given off a "gimme all your money" vibe, and always help folks to remember to use what they have and they do not have to buy the "latest" thing. I totally agree with your kind words about Gina. Infact I use to order craft/card making products from many businesses but I only order from Gina K now due to the quality of her products and how she cares about her customers. No other business owner would do what Gina is doing by having more of the fuse machine in the limited addition. Can't say enough kind things about her and her business.

I've been looking for a machine that was well-made and sturdy but didn't cost an arm and a leg. The added gifts were a bonus! It was a no-brainer for me. The tips in the video yesterday were very helpful! Looking forward to receiving it! 🇨🇦

Please do not take one or two people’s snotty comments too seriously. They may have just been a bit too hasty in expressing their disappointment, had a bad day in other areas or just be unhappy people. I have 100% empathy for you, Gina. One of the hats I wear at work is to order merchandise that takes 60 to 90 days or more to arrive at our company's door. As you did, I weigh all the known factors, and shoot my best shot for ordering what quantity we'll sell of those items while not going overboard. You have an especially tough job when it's a new item for you, and at a cost point that's nothing to sneeze at. We do the best we can. ❤

Gina, thank you so much for offering a second phase of the Fuse. I was so disappointed when I got home from a doctor’s appointment and found that the Fuse was sold out.😢. Thank you Gina for addressing those of us who were so disappointed. I love watching your videos but rarely can watch lives, especially during the day. I even had to catch this posting hours later. I had already hit the notify me button on the website so will watch for it to come back. I hope it gets in before Christmas but if not, just knowing I can get one at some point, is enough for now.
imho you have nothing to apologize for and nothing that you need to "make right". That said, I am delighted that you are offering a second round because that means I have a chance at this gorgeous new crafty tool! (yep, I clicked on that Notify Me button right quick) If your timing of 60-90 days is about right, then I'll be looking at getting the Amethyst Fuse Foiling system right around your original expected release date. Love you, Tom, and the whole team! Most of my stamps are from you. I hesitated getting the machine because I have never done foiling and then it was sold out. I put myself on the Notify Me list. Don't bother about rude people. They just aren't worth your time. You are as sweet as they come. One of my dreams was to come up to your store when it was open. I live in N. IL I was afraid I would run out of money!

How exciting for you that these sold out. I did order one and think I will be getting it in the first round if the website showed it was available. No, I wish I dreamed about card making. But I dreamt last night that I was competing against Meryl Streep for a role in a movie as Mark Ruffalo’s wife. Isn’t that one crazy?
Gina, just to put your mind at ease, it seems that in the past 5 years, when something new comes along, the crafters want it - they can have 3 other foiling machines but they want the newest - the newest color - a new heat press comes out and there is a furious frenzy to get the latest - a new type of card stock, they want it and they want lots of it - there is a new glue press on the market from Spellbinders and they all want it - it may take them a while to pick it up and use it, but they want it - I have a Minc and a laminator but when I saw the Fuse, oh my gosh, I wanted it, but didn’t buy it - if you ever watch Crafter’s Companion, a show from England, that has a US warehouse, the way they present their products, the audience can’t get enough - so don’t take to heart what some are saying - I hope this helps

Gina and Tom -- you go so far above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I did place it in my cart and something came up and when I came back it was gone but I never once held you responsible. It was a limited edition and I never expected you to go out of your way to provide additional machines. Enjoy your success which is very well deserved.

I should have ordered during the live, but I thought it would make a good Christmas gift for me and I currently have nothing on my wishlist. Then I got distracted. Came back and too late. Ah well, I’m on the notify me list.
No one should call Gina a scammer. This upsets me. It’s not just that I am a fan from all the way back to the StampTV days, but Gina has been in our beloved industry a long time with a demonstrable track record. I hope Gina didn’t take that comment to heart. There are better ways than name calling to express frustration.
Did she say when the white version of the Fuse is coming out? I think I will be happy with either color.
I discovered I’m in a distinct minority of Gina K customers today. I do not have a single Gina K ink pad. The only hydrophilic inks I use are Distress and Distress Oxide. I have a few other brands but those came in kits and for the most part they sit unused.
I’m more the collage/art journal type crafter so I want products that don’t reactivate with the next layer of color. I make cards too naturally.
I use a ton of die cuts in my papier-maché products. And I use foil to decorate those and decorate paper I make for collage.
Anyway I have a tip for those who foil with black toner and get incomplete coverage that results in black specks. Another pass through the laminator is unreliable so I use a Quickie glue pen. Go over the speck with one of the dries tacky glues and when it dries rub your foil over it. Easy Peasy lemon breezy.
Another tip, you can foil with other colors of toner besides black so if you coordinate the color you print in with the color of foil, areas that don’t foil are less noticeable. I don’t have a color laser printer at home so I use a print service. You can also just print at home and then make color copies in a bunch of colors at one of the office services shops.

From UK: would love a fuse. UK voltage 240v and a 3-pin plug. Europe generally use a 2-pin plug. Hope this helps you.

I’m right there with you. I am sure I could have taken a very early lunch. But I think it does everyone good to not get everything they want as soon as they want it. How many of us remember ordering something from a catalog and waiting 6 weeks? So everyone needs to take a deep breath and thank Gina for doing a second round of the limited edition. Hi Gina, Tom and all support team from across 'the Pond'. This live answered the question I had...would there be an international version. The voltage in UK and EU was harmonised a couple of decades ago 220 - 240v. However, in UK we use 3 pin plugs, known as 'type G'. EU uses 2 pin plugs. But I'm sure your manufacturer will get it sorted.
I do have a full size Minc, but don't tend to get it out because of the size. The smaller size Minc doesn't appear to be readily available. Will look forward to...hopefully...buying an Amethyst Fuse in due course.
Sad to hear that a few took out their frustration by writing unfair comments. Reminds me of the saying "You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time."

While voltage in Australia is the same as UK (240v) the plug end is different. You can't use a UK plug end in Australian electrical sockets.
I have all the stuff to do the foiling, but my laminator would not work. So excited that I got my order in.

Teal & purple do look awesome together. I have those colors in my craft room. Purple is also my favorite color. My Cricut is a dark purple which is why I love the lighter color purple of your Fuse. It’s also a very pretty color so I am not surprised they sold out so fast at all.
The voltage and plug size. European plugs gave two round plugs. UK has totally different.

Just to clarify the type of plugs used in Europe - The UK and Ireland use a 3 pin plug which is different from the rest of Europe who use a 2 pin plug. The voltage has been standardised for the whole of Europe including the UK and Ireland at 230v. Hope that helps 😊
