The life of Ven. Matthew (Matt) Talbot, Confessor, Third Order (1856-1925) for the June 19th Franciscan Saint of the Day. He was a common laborer in Dublin, Ireland and despite having a good upbringing he turned to alcohol. Yet, after he turned to the Lord, he gained the strength to amend his life.
The reflection is On the Ways of God that even though they may seem incomprehensible He is still in control and we will find peace to the extent that we stay united to Him.

Matt also helped his fellow workers who came to him at work asking him for money to buy shoes or a coat as what they had was threadbare or worn out. Pray for us Venerable Matthew especially in these times of great addictions🙏☘️
