Do you get to take your truck home with you and does your truck have a sleeper in it? I'm living in California and want to drive local at the ports in Longbeach.
My company don’t allow you to take the truck home and even if they did it’s so close to my home i wouldn’t want the responsibility. My truck is a sleeper because I do long waiting throughout the days, so sometimes you have to sleep and wait for long hours.
Hey brother I’m also from Jersey I was looking for a good Port company I did port for about 6 months but the company was new and had no chassis or even a yard🤦🏾♂️ I wanted to get back to the port do u recommend any companies that pay well in NJ
Yeah I understand. Try look up safe way trucking on indeed, ks logistics on the same indeed and I would recommend you make a resume on indeed because six months is alot of Port experience, company need u is just for u to find them. Am not anywhere of any specific company who want drivers at there time but port work always available.
@@ATALETN thanks and God Bless you bro I just put in an app on indeed to Ks Logistics as we speak. Much Appreciated 🙏🏾
Blessings bro and if anything comes up I’ll comment again good luck 🙏🏾
Wilmington Delaware port authority. If it's close. TA dedicated trucking.
I'm from Jersey. I now live in Kissimmee FL. They don't pay well here. So I got a regional job with a company out of Orlando. They don't pay that much cause it is about 1400 or less a week but I am home on weekends. But that kind of money is sooo hard to make in Florida. I have a twic card but haven't seen how that is out here yet. I'll just do my best cause I have a wife and baby girl
Hey man how are you doing?
That is a bit low for regional but at the end of the day we have to work plus the industry is a bit slow right now. My advice is get your hazardous endorsement and try hauling chemicals in that way you will get between 35-45 per hour plus time and a half for overtime. You will be home everyday making 1800-2200 weekly.
Ty for the advise. I have thought about adding hazmat and will do.
Be blessed
Your welcome and remember the tanker endorsement also
I'm looking for a cdl a job local.. where you at? I have experience and can drive anything.. What port you work out of?
I work with RT transportation. I work in jersey so the ports I visit is PNCT, Global, Maher and APM. Not sure if my company employing at the moment but if ur close try look on indeed.
@@ATALETN you paid hourly, right?? How long is your day? Are u off on the weekends?
Am off every night and all weekends and yes it’s hourly pay. Sometimes my days are long sometimes short sometimes
@@ATALETN Aright.. stay safe
