Hello Christy, I don't often comment on your videos because my English is very poor. But I always leave a like for your magnificent work and your extraordinary channel. Greetings from Italy😘🥰🤗
Aw, thank you, Maria! I think your English is excellent! And I really appreciate you making the effort to leave me a comment today. It made me very happy.🥰
Very very nice craft room I too love to work in a clean space I always clean after each project and alway leave my craft room tidy when done crafting, same with cooking , clean as I cook and put dishes away . You did a lovely job in your craft room ❤
Thank you for taking the time to video your studio for us. I love e the way you have it organized. Happy crafting to you ❤. Shout out for Jemma (spelling?) ❤❤❤. What a beautiful crafting partner you have! I have been thinking about getting myself a crafting partner now that the Hubs and I are empty nesters. The one major thing holding me back is that i am a MS patient. I will quickly be going into a wheelchair and I am concerned that it would not be fair to the doggy 🤷♀️. Please give your Jemma a big hug from me and tell her i think she is beautiful ❤❤❤. 😊😊😊
Aw, I’m so sorry that you’re struggling with MS! My boss has MS so I am a little bit familiar with what you’re going though. I wish you a full and happy life! I think that you should definitely get a crafting buddy if your heart is leaning in that direction. Maybe a smaller dog or cat that could sit on your lap? I’m not sure what would be most comfortable, but certainly a pet could be beneficial to your anxiety levels. Do whatever you feel is right for you. I will give Gemma extra love and tell her it is from you!💖
Beautiful craft room Christy. I love your organization, something I’m not good at. I really need to get in the habit of cleaning everything up when I’m done with a project. When I don’t, which is often, then I don’t have a desire to sit down and create. I get so frustrated sometimes because I can’t find what I’m looking for. With winter months on the way and staying inside more, my plan is to get my room in order this winter. I just have way too much stuff and not willing to part with any of it. Thank you for showing us your creative space. I love seeing other people’s craft rooms. I love all your little do-dads too.
Aw, well I hope you can get your space to a place where you feel inspired each time you walk in it! One thing that helped me destash things at the beginning was to put them in a bin and put the lid on. If I didn’t feel the need to open it and get anything out within a certain amount of time, then I could donate it with much more peace of mind. I’m glad you enjoyed this video!😊
I used to have a bedroom that was my craft room until my husband moved in a work table from Harbor freight and a gun vault and his gun cleaning supplies. My desk is a glass desk with an upper glass shelf that is about 12 inches deep. I have a portable double drawer system where I keep my cardstock but I really don’t have any other drawers. I think after the beginning of the year I will have to find some storage solutions. The nearest IKEA is in south Denver which takes 2 hours to get to. They were going to build one in northern Denver which would have been great for us in northern Co, Wyoming and even Nebraska but it didn’t happen. You have given me a reason to make that my chore for the winter to clean up and organize my supplies. Thanks for your tour.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Our nearest IKEA is in Pittsburgh, which is also two hours away, so I sympathize! I had to do so much research before deciding on things, because I knew it would be so difficult to return things if I changed my mind. Luckily it all worked out. I hope it does for you too!🙂
Aw, haha! Craft buddies are so much fun, aren’t they? Except when she interrupts my voiceovers by making noise. Then I have to put her out of the room and give her a treat because I feel bad kicking her out!😂 But luckily it’s not too often.
I always love seeing people's craft rooms. My craft room is only 9x9. I wish I could use my closet for storage, but it holds most of my clothes. I set up my craft room during the pandemic and IKEA was virtually closed. I waited three months for my order and when it never came and they couldn't give me any hope of when it would, I gave up and ordered from Amazon and Lowe's. My husband is a woodworker and he made my countertops and covered them with Formica in a marble pattern. I love every single inch of this space. Unfortunately, I've already outgrown it but that is my fault because I buy too much stuff. I have over 700 stamp sets, an equal number of dies, not to mention more paper than I'll ever use, stencils, embossing folders, kits, inks, Copics, etc. I have a machine for hot foil, a Scan & Cut, a Cuttlebug, a Big Shot, plus one corner of my room is my office with my computer and a big printer. Your room looks so neat and filled with light. I, too, clean up after every project. Clutter bothers me so much and I can't create in a mess. Thank you for sharing your beautiful room.
Man, what a hassle, but it sounds like you ended up with a space you love in the end!💕 I feel you, my room isn’t big either, it might be 8x10? I can’t remember, but roughly the same dimensions. I just try very hard not to let it get over cluttered. If I find myself getting frustrated because it’s hard to put things away, I know it’s time to purge some stuff. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who can’t work in a mess! It’s so hard for me to be creative in an untidy space, so I’ve just learned to clean up as I go. If I don’t, I’ll lose my mojo!😉
I try not to keep so much stuff that I start getting overwhelmed. So I purge my craft room a couple times a year and give a lot away to friends and family.😊
This was fun. My room is nowhere near as tidy. Gemma is such a sweetheart and so beautiful. How nice to have her as your craft companion. If there’s anything I wouldn’t mind seeing more in depth is the stamp/die storage, especially Lawn Fawn. But I think I’ve got the gist of it. Thank you for taking the time to film this. Hugs, Julie.
Thank you so much, Julie! I’ll write that down on my list of future video ideas! Thanks so much for your kind words about the room and about Gemma!💕🐶 Hugs!
@@christygetscrafty I meant to tell you I also play or used to play the guitar. I have a six string and a twelve string. It’s been probably twenty years since I played so I doubt I can anymore though. 😂
I remember getting you that pot with the sunflower on it, but for the life of me I can't remember where I got it for you.... I think either Mexico or Guatemala.....gosh, where is my memory going??? lol. Awesome crafty setup :)
Gemma is so pretty and has grown so fast! Love your room and your little treasures through out. I still can’t believe you’ve been in that house 8 years already!! Like what!??! 😅 love you friend!
I know! 8 years on Halloween! It’s flown by. I’m still so grateful to finally have a craft room all to myself to decorate and organize how I please.☺️ And thank you for the compliments about Gemma! I know you get that fierce love for our furry companions!💖
Hi Christy, Thanks for the tour of your beautiful craft room! It's so tidy and organised! I think as crafters, we are all similar in what we have in our craft rooms/ craft spaces! The little treasured nick knacks, arrangement of our stamps, inks, papers, Copics, supplies etc and cards that friends have sent. I used to have a Parlour Palm on my desk, but it got so big I had to move it to another room! I love your crafting companion, Gemma! I have a Ragdoll cat who is my crafting buddy! She's very interested in all things craft and likes to see what I am making! I agree with you about tidying up after each crafting session. I like to put everything away. Although, I must confess I have a pile of things on my desk that I need to find a space for in my little craft room! I am forever trying to rearrange and tidy my room, but it remains a work in progress! I love the view from your craft room window, the changing seasons must inspire you in your crafting! Thanks again. Take care.😊
Aw, I love that you have a sweet rag doll kitty as your crafty companion! So fun! It’s nice to have someone to hang out with, isn’t it? I loved my big Ivy! It was really thriving in that space but it just thrived a little too much, I guess.😂 Ripping itself right off the wall it had attached itself to. It’s okay though, it seems to be going just fine on the bookshelf upstairs. I love tropical plants. I bet your parlor palm is so pretty! I usually have a growing stack of stamps and dies piled up next to my die storage container from a couple days of crafting, and then I’ll put them all away at once when I have time, like waiting for a video to upload. So I’m not perfect either. No one is. But it’s good for me to have designated spaces where a little clutter can accumulate if need be in a place that won’t bother my focus too much. But just not for too long! A day or two at most and then I have to put that away too.😉
Everyone’s different! I know some people thrive with all their supplies everywhere at arms reach. I just can’t think straight in a messy space. I’ve always been that way since I was super little.🙂
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! When we first moved in, I struggled more with burn out and just not wanting to go in and craft. And I realized it was because the space didn’t feel welcoming to me with all the clutter and mess from previous projects. Once I started cleaning up after each session, I was much happier. Not only did it not take that long to only do a little each day, but the room felt so much brighter and inviting. So I just learned that this is what works for me to keep my creativity flowing.😊
What a lovely craft room. It’s neat, clean and so well organised. Everything is organised with purpose and your most used items nearest to you which, has certainly made me rethink my closest drawers. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, I like to have the things I use most at arms reach. It also makes them easier to put back away as soon as I am done with them to keep my desk clear.😊
So fun to see your studio!!! I love seeing other studios and how people use/set up their creative space and what works for them! Gemma is beautiful!!! I have a Gemma too (Gemma Rose)...she is a black and tan mini dachshund...we actually have two...so I better mention Geena Marie or she would be sad 😜 I too clean up after every project as it helps with my creative process and does a refresh in my brain. If my area is messy with the last project it actually makes me anxious 😰 Thanks Christy for sharing your creative space! 💌
Aw, hi to Gemma and Geena! What cute names! My Gemma’s middle name is Astrid after the author of the Pippi Longstocking books.☺️ And yes, I’m the same way, I get anxious if my space is untidy. I’ve always been that way. So in order for me to come up with multiple card ideas every week, I’ve just got to have a clean and tidy space to create in. I’m glad I’m not alone in that!😀
Nice to see where you create Christy and how you stay organized! I also clean up after every crafty session and I thought I was the only one, but I get very nervous and panicky if I don't have a clean space to work and craft it. Nice to know I'm not alone in that! :D
Yay! I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I feel the exact same way. Messy spaces give me anxiety. I couldn’t hope to be creative if I didn’t stay on top of cleaning up.😊
I love your craft room! I live in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment & made the bedroom into my craft room. I have way too much stuff to fit in it. I’ve been here for over a month & still haven’t finished setting it up as I have been purging as I go. I love seeing how others organize & gravitate towards those who have much less stuff to inspire me to let go of things I really don’t need. TFS!
Yeah, there’s a lot of stuff on the market that looks cool, but I won’t buy because I know I don’t have room for it without making my space too cluttered. This is just what works for me. I try to do a purge seasonally to make space for anything new I might want but I’m strict with myself about everything having a home. If it doesn’t have one, it’s so much harder to put it away. Thanks so much for watching!😀
I love your updated craftroom!!! Thank you for saying, "Hi!". That made my day. I shared this video with some of my kids and felt so happy to see the card i sent you. You are such a dear friend and are so super sweet! I would love to see anything you put up and would find any more in depth videos on your organization and anything else you want to share. You are so talented and creative, your craft space exudes your creative flair. I just love this video. Thank you, so much, for sharing your time and gifts with us. I loved seeing your card picture taking set up, hearing and seeing your leftover paper pads and what you do with them. Seeing how you organize your drawers, paper, stamps, dies are all so inspirational and helpful. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are so appreciated. I hope you have a very blessed and happy weekend. Take care of yourself. Lots of love and hugs to you!
Aw, thank you so much for watching and for sending that card to help brighten up my space! I’m so glad you and the kids got a kick out of seeing it.😀 I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the video and seeing all the ways I’ve made this space my own. Hopefully it was a better quality video than the old one too, since my friend gave me her old tripod to keep the camera more steady. I still need to get the hang of using it more, but it should enable me to do more of these kinds of videos in the future and not just have the camera pointed straight down like my homemade one that I usually use does. Have a great weekend, my friend!💖
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your beautiful Studio! I was very impressed! I need some new lighting for my studio and noticed your two clamp on lamps. Could you share where you purchased them and if you are content with them? Thank you very much.❤️
They are from IKEA and I do like them, though I don’t use them very often. I can’t really film at night because I get too many shadows in the video, so I usually just have the overhead light on if I’m working in the evening. It’s almost always just computer work then, because I’m much more creative in the day. But I do like that they can swivel around. I have daylight bulbs in them so they are nice and bright.😊
I’ve been trying to organize my art/craft space but haven’t found what works best for me yet. It is definitely a constant work in progress. After breaking both shoulders in a fall last year, I’m just now getting back into my space and using it This led to having to move supplies lower so I can access them easily. I also like to begin with a clean space, so I definitely need everything to have a “home”! Thanks for sharing your personal space. 🦋
Oh man, that must have been rough! I’m sorry that happened to you. I hope that you can arrange your craft room in a way that works for your needs now. Good luck with it all!💗
Gorgeous 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I love your craftroom how did you organize your markers???? What colors did you figure out go first just curious??? Such a gorgeous craftroom thank you for sharing it I loved it
I just start with the lowest numbers and worked my way down through each color family. So it starts with RV00, RV02, RV04, RV06 and so on. After all my RVs are the Rs, then YRs then Ys then YGs then Gs then BGs then Bs, BVs, Vs, then all the browns in the Es, then all the Grays. I hope that makes sense!😊
@@christygetscrafty awesome thanks again for sharing you have a blessed room you are one lucky lady and yes I need to clean up after every project myself I don’t like a dirty craftroom
I love how organized your room is! Mine is occasionally that neat. Where do you get your clear card envelopes? Your photography tray is really cool too! Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy seeing how other crafters organize their stuff. 🥰
Thank you! I used to order the clear sleeves on Etsy but after several shops closed down I just switched to Amazon. The photography tray was from Hobby Lobby. It’s nice because if I need better light I just pick it up and move it over on my desk beneath the window. Thanks for watching!☺️
Oh good! I’m so happy to hear that.😊 The artist who made the statues is named Addie and her company is Olive & Branch. You can find her on Instagram, but sadly she is no longer making the sculptures. She recently announced that she wants to move on to other things.
Beautiful! I love your channel and the adorable pieces you create. Question from me as a new card crafter: I get it, the collection of stamps and dies grows quickly. I now need to get some of those magnetic sheets and plastic bags to store dies. I see some on Amazon, but I like to support the US stamp companies and want something of good quality. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!!!
I buy the storage pockets for the stamps and dies from MFT (My Favorite Things) which is a independent craft company based out of Florida. As for the magnetic sheets, I cut down vent covers that I buy at the hardware stores here in town.😊 Welcome to the crafting industry!
So I know I watched this video when it first came out and even shared parts of it with my husband since it was when I was redoing my craft room at the time. I somehow didn’t catch the glass pumpkin… did you create that at Corning Glass Museum vs. Cornell?? Super curious because growing up in NY we always went on field trips to the Corning Glass Museum. So odd that YT went to that spot in the video and I did a double take. Maybe they are two different places though.
@@christygetscrafty It’s about 90 minutes from where I used to live. I always bought the penny in a bottle in the gift shop because who can resist that? Since it was school field trips we never got to do anything like glass blowing but I do remember watching it. Growing up in NY, this is where my Buffalo Bills ties come from. It’s been fun getting to catch up on some of your videos. I seriously underestimated how busy I’d be with life, teaching, and grad school!!
It was from IKEA. It’s a corner piece and a straight piece, although my husband had to saw off a bit of the back of the straight piece to get them to line up perfectly. Hope that helps!🙂
Has it been 8 years already? I’ve probably watched it again since your last craft room video. I love your space 😍 also, is Gemma turning 8 years old next birthday or? I remember you got her the same time as one of my pups but I didn’t remember if it was when I got my Ruby or not. She’s such a pretty pup! Also, does the artist that made your dog sculptures have a page? They’re so cute 💜
Gemma was four on her last birthday!💕🐶 We had Zadie when we first moved in, but she passed from Cancer at Christmas, about five months before we got Gemma. The artist of the sculptures is named Addie and her company is Olive & Branch. Incredible work! Sadly, she is no longer doing the sculptures. She wants to move on to something else.
I noticed you said you keep a bottle of alcohol in that blue cart for refilling your colorless blender--what kind of alcohol (and what %)? I was about to buy the big bottle of colorless blender refill but I would much rather use cheaper isopropyl alcohol if that works!
The bottle of alcohol to refill my colorless blender is the Copic refill. It’s pure alcohol but I know it’s a different grade than the over the counter stuff, so I’ve never risked using anything else. The second bottle of alcohol is just the basic isopropyl alcohol, but I only use that to clean the outside of the markers or soak the caps when they get too gunked up inside. But I always make sure to let them drain on paper towels and dry before I put them back on the markers.🙂
thank you - I think I asked this on another video but where did you get the corner piece? I do not see it on the Ikea website. thanks@@christygetscrafty

So dreamy!!!! I love the color, my craft room is in shambles right now until flooring goes back in… Thanks for the beautiful tour.
Thank you so much! I hope yours comes back together beautifully!😊
I’m glad I’m not alone in that!😀
Thank you so much for doing the detailed tour!
You’re so welcome! Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I couldn’t hope to be creative if I didn’t stay on top of cleaning up.😊
@@christygetscrafty totally agree with you!
I have my sequins, dots & Stickles labeled "do-dads". :) Can't wait for you to open those envelopes with the new stamps in them.
How fun! Thanks so much for watching!😊
Love the room!!
Thank you so much, Barbara!💖
I love your craft room! I live in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment
& made the bedroom into my craft room.
Love it! It is so organized.
Thank you so much!🙂
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your beautiful Studio!
Your craft room is beautiful! It is so nicely organized and clean. I need to get my craft room in order!
Thank you! An organized space just makes me happy, but everyone is different! No shame!🙂
Love the room and it gave me several ideas for my new space too! Can you tell me who the artist is that made the puppy statues if they still do them?
Oh good! I’m so happy to hear that.😊 The artist who made the statues is named Addie and her company is Olive & Branch. You can find her on Instagram, but sadly she is no longer making the sculptures. She recently announced that she wants to move on to other things.
Great tour. Love your room.
Thanks so much, Deneen!🙂
I have many books of Anne of greenable 😊
That’s my favorite books of all time!💕📖
😂Sounds good! Thank you!!!!! @@christygetscrafty
My laugh emogi is for the hardware store - but that is ingenious!!!! And thank you for the sweet welcome!!!!
Yes! Did I say Cornell in the video? I guess I’ve watched too many seasons of The Office!😂 Yes, it was the Corning Glass Museum. I loved it there!
Please please where did u buy the L shaped part of the table? I cant find it anywhere :( Your room looks beautiful
@@christygetscrafty ok so Gemma & my Ryder are the same age. And thanks for the info about the artist! 💜
Hi! What are/where did you get the clear trays that you store your stamps and dies in? Can you please share the link?
Yes, I have added a link to that product and a couple others in the description box. Thanks for asking!
@@christygetscrafty Thank you So much! 🥰
@@christygetscrafty One more question... What are the aqua divider cards?
Hi Christy.. what is the name of the Ikea storage units?
The bookshelves are the Kallax system and the units under the desk and to the side are the Alex drawers.🙂
thank you - I think I asked this on another video but where did you get the corner piece? I do not see it on the Ikea website. thanks@@christygetscrafty
HOLY NAIL POLISH 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I know… Are you saying I shouldn’t buy more colors?💅🏼😂
@@christygetscrafty I'm saying you should bring all your colors to the next art club and we should have a nail polish party!!! 🥳
