    Its literally matted hair, am not sure how anyone can hold a claim to matted hair

      It all depends on who wears it because so far i haven't seen nobody really rock the locs like Black ppl do....especially once Black Americans started to embrace the hair style.... Just saying....

      Because some Ethiopian warriors stopped cutting their hair until the Emperor returned from exile and they were such fierce warriors that they were considered dreadful.

      Has NOTHING TO DO WITH ETHIOPIANS.... The "Dread" / "Dred" came from the Mau Mau of Kenya. Anyone can goole search Mau Mau resistence to British occupation in Kenya. This Loc wearing men killed the British men women and children and helped usher in Kenya's freedom.
